    A bumpy IMC takeoff from BWI onboard a Southwest Airlines 737-700, registration N474WN. Turbulence started just below 10,000 ft.

      Takeoff was fine. AIRMET TANGO up above. Bumps started right around 10,000 ft

      Ahh. Gotta love a little turbulence though! Just flew over the winter storms in the midwest on DAL1590 (PVR-MSP). Flight was fine until we got over Kansas. That's where the bumps really started. It was mod-sev based on the PIREPs reported!

    Scares me when they reduce speed going through turbulence. I understand why they do it but I still want to keep full power going up faster to get through it faster......just idle thoughts.

    I took off Newark on a really windy day on N762SW. Captain ran it a lot harder on the throttle, but had to since it was from the short runway 29. Takeoff was much smoother than expected and climb rate was jaw-dropping. Glad I wasn't landing in Newark that day. I have the video of it (Southwest flight 4405) taking off and landing.
