      @@akshtreyelogy9182 I had my first experience, it was in BOTH eyes the first time (but not since thankfully) in 2015. It’s usually my right eye but sometimes the left. @@thisgirlwhodis4495 I do. Muro ointment at night. And a lubricant during the day. To be honest, I can’t tell any difference with the muro. What I have found over the last three months, is that wearing contacts all of the time Has been the only consistent relief I get. My cornea specialist told me not to do that. And to never sleep in them. But it’s just too painful not to.

      @@thisgirlwhodis4495 something else that seemed to help a lot is wearing a sleep mask. I sleep with a fan on so there is always air blowing across my face and it dried my eyes out. I have RCE but I want to get Femto LASIK to get rid of my glasses. I consulted my doctor and he tested my cornea and it turned out that I’m a good candidate but I’m soooo worried. I’m afraid it could worsen my RCE. What do you think?

    • @thisgirlwhodis4495
      @thisgirlwhodis4495 2 года назад

      I have RCE and my doctor said no way to LASIK. She said they inform you about the risks of dry eyes and with RCE you already have very dry eyes. I wouldn't risk it.

      PTK is the method with the most success rate so far (I guess almost 80%). There are good hospitals in India that do this. Places like Hyderabad, Madurai, Coimbatore and Delhi have such hospitals with world class doctors.

    It sucks. Ive only started having it this past few years. It comes and goes and is only in my right eye. The duration between each episode is a few weeks to a few months. It lasts from 2-4 days. Sometimes it starts in the morning and will be cleared up a few hours later. Othertimes it will last upto 4 days. Ill be sleeping and upon waking up and opening my eyes will burn, itch, water and have crusties my right eye feels like i have a rock in it. It waters all day and is swollen and appears smaller than my left eye. I cannot wear eye makeup. And when i dont have this happen my right eye will tear out of nowhere especially if i have makeup on and am on my way to an event. The first time this occured i went to the eye doctor and it went away just before i went and he didnt see anything wrong with my eye it was very frustrating. When it happened again i rushed over and he saw a scratch on my cornea. He put a contact lense in that eye to stop my eyelid from irritating the cornea when i blink. And prescribed mura 128. Ive used eye drops too prior to the contact lense being used. My question is 1. What causes this to happen to my eye. 2. Why only my right eye. 3. Why does it come and go.
    Also i remember my eyes being crusty and watery upon awakening months prior to the diagnosis of recurrent cornea erosion.
