Yeah, it's like they ran out of ideas and just tried to make a greatest hits game without any soul or excitement. It's like they just went through the paces. I'd give it a 3 out of 10 and I liked all the earlier Far Cry games a lot!
id like to mention you can change your loadout mid-combat its been very helpful for me like if i fail at stealth i can quickly switch to my loud loadout. I took advantage of that and the 4 loadouts by making one mainly for sniping stealth on the side, 2nd one is prefect for most situations. 3rd is for dealing with fire and poison. 4th is loud/heavy loadout used for taking down practically everything in the game except soft targets for some reason.
TIP: 1st thing to build should be Bandidos Barracks camp facility. This helps you get Bandidos missions after you complete the Yara Stories that unlock them. You will unlock Scrounger Jeans that auto-repair the vehicles while you're inside, so for example you could get a Tank and never bother to repair it. If you get the best tank - the Elite (there are 5 tank models in the game) - you could play for hours without the need to exit and repair (virtually you can finish the open world part of the game, counting out the mission where you need to parkour or enter buildings). Also Bandidos missions can get you resources or cash or items or chibis/cosmetics.
For all vehicles, especially helicopters, use the Zeusito resolver weapon to bring it down, the crew will either get out and attack on foot, or if they jump back in, use the original supremo to knock it out in one hit. The Zeusito recharges in a couple of seconds and essentially has unlimited “ammo”. The MG42 Or M60 with explosive rounds makes very short work of everything except tanks.
Quick tip: you cannot scan vehicles while someone is driving them. You can only scan empty vehicles and non-military vehicles. Operation vehicles cannot be scanned or claimed. Scanning also applies to horses, yet those can also only be scanned when nobody's on the horse.
It took me hours of gameplay before I released if I didn't have a car someone was in, I could just "commandeer" the vehicle to get the driver to get out so I could scan it ..I was looking for empty vehicles
The game does actually tell you this in the hints on the loading screen, it’s says “scan vehicles with your phone camera to make them available at the vehicles corresponding pick up point”…. They definitely should of made it more clear to players about this feature though.
@@TheZiggZagg idk if it only works when u get to a certain point in the game but for like first 10 hrs of playing it wouldn’t work for me. It’s been working now though.
@@jb3thegreatest623 I was replying to the other guys comment mate. The scanning feature works right from the start of the game. You just aim your camera at the car, it has to be at a standstill and you can’t be too close or too far. In this video they say that the game doesn’t tell you about it but it does. ✌️
Biggest help i think I've found outside of this is the level 2 pants set that allows vehicles to begin immediately auto repairing on damage. Definitely needed if you intend on doing alot of flying/ helicopter runs.
You can force a chopper to land using the Zeusito Resolver weapon which turns it off for a bit like an EMP. Upon being hit, the chopper will stop firing at you and land safely so you can steal it. I tried explosive arrows and grenade launchers but heavy military vehicles need quite a few hits to blow up. Lock-on launcher has quite an annoying reload time when you're being shot at, so the Zeusito is the best tool against helicopters and tanks alike. Tanks are disabled for a bit as well giving you a window to hijack them.
Having a spitirual successor to Boomer is fantastic fan service! I felt down all day when I discovered his grave in New Dawn. Edit: I found out that Boom Boom actually IS Boomer! Hurk sent him over to Yara to help the Guerilla. Sometimes Ubi takes me by surprise by how caring they can be when it comes to fan service!
You get the autocrat really early in this game (unique pistol) and it's great for mowing down enemies really early on in the game, pretty much if you get it you won't need another gun until you complete the first island
The original PC version of Far Cry was my favorite, but I have played all of the sequels and enjoyed them all to various degrees. Recently I think Primal was my fave. That was a nice change of pace after so many modern military themed games in the series. This one is coming in the mail right now, looking forward to blowing a week or so playing it.
Primal was really well done! In fact, I bought 6 and quit after a few boring hours and went back and played Primal and realized it wasn't me that was getting bored of Far Cry games but just that Primal was great and 6 sucks.
I’ve been hooked on this game I’m maybe half way done and I’ve been playing everyday for almost a week. The stuff you get for finding all the relics is awesome. I’ve been using them constantly since I got them.
Funny thing, if you do triada blessings and get the supremo and the resolver weapon, that is also a good option to take out enemy vehicles. Since you can shoot through objects you can just take out the enemies piloting the vehicles rendering the vehicles useless to them
Clearing the check points takes almost no time though and gives you rank points and resources and helps in the beginning, personally I think they are silly to skip even though I know it seems annoying. Also that said you don't even need the car upgrade just use a horse if you wanna skip them.
Also the fast travel location is useful too. I do checkpoints and military targets first for the fast travel mobility. Makes the story so much faster when you can just jump from location to location
Something to do to mess around: you can start fires with the repair tool (you can even light animals and people *also amigos and be set on fire with it too* )
9:45 The Impact Gloves are cool and while it is fun to use them, I've actually found the most useful piece of gear for me is the headwear called the Marksman's Goggles. While wearing this item, successful headshots refund the round you just shot. It doesn't put the round into a later mag, it puts it STRAIGHT BACK INTO YOUR CURRENT MAG. No reload animation or cycling of the bolt or any of that necessary, you just magically have the bullet you just shot back in the chamber of your gun ready to fire. This is awesome with a silenced bolt action/semi-auto rifle with armor piercing ammo because you can go for single shot headshots all day long without reloading. Also, since it magically chambers the round you just shot, you don't even need to cycle the bolt on the rifle so you can do quick follow up shots even while using a bolt action rifle. It is an insanely useful piece of gear, especially if you like to slowly and quietly snipe your way through enemy bases.
Was gonna say the same thing. I had a semi-rifle with those goggles for the whole game. and a explosive LMG for vehicles. Granted I wish I knew/remembred about the EMP grenade launcher and bow and arrow. Whole game is trivial with those two.
Frankly I was already getting skill tree fatigue by 5. Making the abilities weapon mod and armor-based gives it a little spin, and reminds me of how I played Horizon Zero Dawn: I'd modded each of the top-level armors to be 100% resistant to at least one thing, so that I could change my gear situationally. I'd only wish that Ubi let us define custom armor sets, as sometimes I find that mixing-and-matching pieces from two or more sets to be the most effective for my play style, and there's no quick "wear custom set" button in the Arsenal page.
Me and my buddy hopped on co-op right when the game unlocked at midnight (10pm for me) and we ended up playing until 4am. I never stay up that late so I feel like shit but it was worth it.
Best thing for helicopters and tanks in my opinion is the bow with emp. 1 hit to the chopper and it crashes. 1 hit to the tank and you can jump on it and commandeer it.
number 9: When you're looking at the vehicles you already own in the menu under "rides" if you hover over a locked item like a rim, it says "acquire from taking vehicle to drop off point, OR scan with phone" that's how I figured it out early on.

The Nail gun is so overpowered completely silent very easy to get head shots and what makes it better than a normal silence gun if you miss them they won't be alerted by the bullet impact
Basically all the resolver weapons are OP (except the disc launcher), but I agree that the nail gun is stupid OP. It should only have 5-10 shots and have a long reload.
To be fair, other silenced weapons won't alert them if you miss as long as you have the right silencer. Others reduce noise by "some" and others "greatly" but the difference is the heat build-up to prevent rapid fire. That said, thanks! I was thinking about picking up the nail gun and now I have my excuse.
The Zeusito resolver weapon is also amazing against vehicles, you can use it more often than the Volta supremo, and It has the greatest range of all the emp weapons.
one of my favorite things you didn't talk about Falcon, is the Cantina. If you unlock it and upgrade it the meals can last for 6 rl hours! As well can be used in Special Operations. As well you can switch the buff at normal hideouts, as long as you have the meat for the meal.
A good launcher can be useful in the early game, but they are all entirely outclassed by the fully upgraded Pyrotechnica resolver weapon. Also, I love Boomer, but he can’t hold a candle to Chorizo.
I really like my supressed 1911 as my main "combat" gun for close range when I am being stealthy. It's a lot faster to shoot and reload than a single shot rifle and still 1-shot headshots everything when I used it with AP ammo. Not really any reason to use a rifle over it at close and medium ranges as long as you can land headshots. I swap to blast ammo when I drive vehicles though.
They do tell you about the scan vehicle mechanic in the game. You must of missed it. And the best way to take out choppers and vehicles is EMP arrows. Superior range over grenades and easier to get.
I picked up my copy before I want to work played a little bit and so far I like it a lot. I plan to remote play my Series X at work and get some more time in on it. Man the weekend can't come soon enough lol 🤣🤣🤣
You can change weapons and supremos at any time by going to the arsenal in the main menu. IDK if the game tells you this in the tutorial and I just missed it? It's the tradeoff from no longer being able to pick weapons up off the ground and also being able to switch ammo types on the fly. Fast traveling to hideouts refills ammo and equipment, but for some reason the main camps don't do this. EMP arrows are the best for dealing with vehicles. You carry plenty and they refill easily too. You can use amigos in Lola's Special Operations.
I started playing this the other day. Me and my friend are having a blast. Reminds me of the older Far Cry games, which were always so colourful and had wacky characters.
When playing stealth i usually go for the bow and a sniper with a silencer but it sucks when i get caught because i have to go to the menu and change the bow and the sniper for something else every single time... Wish there was an option where u can save loadouts and switch between them quickly
Best gun in the game, is found on the libertad headquarters island, Its a unique hand gun, that is an absolute beast. Best thing to shoot down helicopters and anti aircraft guns is blast amo with any bow.
The game does tell you about scanning vehicles but it's essentially a quick tip, a small black box on the right-hand side of the screen with text, if you weren't looking you'd miss it.
One of the things I liked about previous FC games that was removed for 6 was that you could unlock weapons by finding enemies wielding them and taking them back to your weapon locker and not have to pay to unlock or find them in a crate or on a treasure hunt or whatever. 6 doesn't even let you pick up weapons as you go. On the other hand, 6 doesn't make you go into your weapons locker to change up your loadout which makes gameplay a lot easier, even if it's far less realistic to have access to any and every gun and clothing item at all times. I've been on missions where I've used so much ammo that I've ran out of rifle and pistol rounds, gone into the menu and equipped an LMG and finished the mission. It's also handy to be able to switch between perks, but still unrealistic. (I forget if it's a locker in 4 or 5, but I know it was a locker in 3) One thing I loved about Ghost Recon Wildlands that I wish they'd have used for FC6 is that it let you equip or remove your suppressor on the fly, not requiring you to go into the workbench or editing menu. FC6 makes you do everything from a workbench.
I felt the same for a little while, that you couldn't pick up guns off dead soldiers. Then again having a loadout I like ready at all times without having to hunt em on an online.
0:36 i can't tell ya'll just HOW insane that supremo+gun (the supremo power pretty much must be used with that gun) is. The gun by itself is a fairly good gun IMO, but with the supremo ability it is INSANE and just SO MUCH fun. tl;dr is: using the ability makes your screen go all dark and smokey and you just see all NPCs highlighted (you can't see anything else, no walls or buildings etc) - red for enemies and white for innocents...and you use the gun (which can be upgraded for more power and some scope) to shoot. Note: i said you can't see walls, you just see ALL the enemies around you in red, and you shoot, that's it...walls, tanks, buildings, NOTHING matters. Enemy inside a tank? no problem, shoot him whilst he's still inside the tank. Heck, i've used this ability to clear out entire bases, i just sneak nearby and hide in some room or cave underneat or something and just shoot everyone in the entire base from my safe spot inside a room. And, speaking of Triador supremo and how hard helicopters are: you can use the triador supremo thing to take down helicopters. This didn't immediately occur to me for some reason but - since that ability lets you just shoot anybody through all the walls you can just shoot the pilot of the helicopter (which is VERY difficult with a regular sniper rifle, if you've tried it, due to the angle you have from being lower as well as the fact that most helicopters that enemies use seem at least somewhat armored). But...use the triador to take down the pilot and the helicopter comes crashing down instantly. Honestly that supremo+gun may well be the most OP gun in any game ever.
Literally the only problem I've had with the game so far after playing for about 9 hours is the fact that I can't shoot pilots out of choppers without the supremo and resolver combo he mentioned
I'm a little surprised you didn't mention "El Lobo". He's a talking wolf you can find in the woods around keystone bridge. If you see him and go up and talk to him he'll give you a quest to take out a cult that has been "Stealing his power". It's not a hard quest in and of itself but all the enemies are total bullet sponges, and there's a lore reason for that. Once you take out the cult and return to el lobo, he "offers you freely what others have tried to steal". Accept this offer and he will bite you, granting you lycanthropy. A heavily nerfed version of what you might expect from the word but that's what it's called. It gives you a serious resistance to all forms of damage in the game "Except for the bite of the silver fangs" (which i take to mean silver bullets, which don't exist in the game). Combine it with the right armor and you can basically make yourself invulnerable. I doubt this is meant to be a one and done kind of quest, so i'm betting they'll add things like werewolf hunters further down the line that actually do have silver bullets, and hopefully some more quests from lobo leading to a full blown werewolf transformation.
I thought it made sense. I mean I just get the chest and bounce. Really no need to loot around and most of the materialz Re in the room you find the chests anyways. And when you have to capture a base the enemies have yet to respawn for me.
Here's one. Don't underestimate hand guns. Mark VI baby. Just found it. Been a week since I started playing. Equip it with soft target rounds. If you run into armored opponents, switch to AK-M with armor piercing bullets. I've been kicking so much level 9 and 10+ ass when I'm only level 7. Another tip. Take your time picking the right scope for each type of weapon. Makes a difference when things go from stealth to chaos.
Get the fishing build in the gorila camps, upgraded to the maxium, you will get the clothes that give huge buffs to fishing, upgrade the fishing rod (i only did the third upgrade which makes the rod stronger) now go fishing for the hardests fishing, there are a bunch of easy spots of catfish on the map, some of then you can fast travel directly to them, with the outfit you get 8-10 catfish every time, and you can swap than for industrial compound which can be sold gor 25 pesos each, so every fish you get worth it 210-250 pesos, easiest way to get rich on the game.
The thing that really stands out for these games for me is the lack of copy and paste each location feels original nothing worse than walking into buildings with copied everything . It screams I'm in a game right now.
EMP arrows. That is the easiest I've found to deal with choppers. Most of the time causes them to land gently enough for you to steal the VERY same helicopter that was shooting at you moments before. 🏹🚁

Yeah, it's like they ran out of ideas and just tried to make a greatest hits game without any soul or excitement. It's like they just went through the paces. I'd give it a 3 out of 10 and I liked all the earlier Far Cry games a lot!

@Ron Swanson dont download the HD texture, its glitchy, after i use it my cinematic scene become fugly and stretch..
id like to mention you can change your loadout mid-combat its been very helpful for me like if i fail at stealth i can quickly switch to my loud loadout. I took advantage of that and the 4 loadouts by making one mainly for sniping stealth on the side, 2nd one is prefect for most situations. 3rd is for dealing with fire and poison. 4th is loud/heavy loadout used for taking down practically everything in the game except soft targets for some reason.
This is the first really useful FC6 video I've seen, well done. What a game!!! It's enormous, has that tropical Just Cause-like feel, but much better.
Bandido mission can get you circuit boards easily to upgrade some nice weapons
It took me hours of gameplay before I released if I didn't have a car someone was in, I could just "commandeer" the vehicle to get the driver to get out so I could scan it ..I was looking for empty vehicles
gotta be honest i usually watch every gameranx video but i want to find everything out by myself in farcry 6 i love it so much
The Phone scanning one just made my life so much easier I've been hauling vehicles back to spawn points this whole time.
The only vehicle I hauled back was a tank. Because it is a military vehicle. They can't be scanned.
Is there a button u press to scan or a certain point in the game u have to wait to have the ability?
That’s awesome! Boomer is a legend 😎
Best weapon against choppers and all vehicles is Pyrotechno resolver weapon. Add the lock on and long fuse upgrades and you are all set.
Compound bow with explosive arrows is still a great way to deal with vehicles. I feel like I’ve had it in my load out for every Farcry since 3
Very Rambo 2 of you!
For anyone, who don't know this, there is a secret ending. You can completed it by using a plane or a boat and just travel outside of the map.

Primal was a great addition to the Far Cry series! Hoping to see a second one in the future.
Primal was really well done! In fact, I bought 6 and quit after a few boring hours and went back and played Primal and realized it wasn't me that was getting bored of Far Cry games but just that Primal was great and 6 sucks.

Just got off a 6 hour session of this game. Loving it so far!

Damn and I felt bad for playing 3 hours straight.
Where do I find these goggles

This game is so damn fun, I will say I miss the skill trees but I can forgive that since the weapons are so awesome

The Nail gun is so overpowered completely silent very easy to get head shots and what makes it better than a normal silence gun if you miss them they won't be alerted by the bullet impact
Ooh, I bought that but haven't even used it yet. Good call, thanks.
Basically all the resolver weapons are OP (except the disc launcher), but I agree that the nail gun is stupid OP. It should only have 5-10 shots and have a long reload.
@@beezyj3227 yea combine it with the head gear where headshots don't consume a bullet
The harpoon gun is also silent I think.

Yeah it look like they put in work this time
They do tell you about the scan vehicle mechanic in the game.

@@dominikbaldassari2708 Bro, that came out like 3 years ago, I been done had all the achievements on that game LONG ago.
Have you played mass effect or telltale twd? Two if the best games ever imo.
(I forget if it's a locker in 4 or 5, but I know it was a locker in 3)
One thing I loved about Ghost Recon Wildlands that I wish they'd have used for FC6 is that it let you equip or remove your suppressor on the fly, not requiring you to go into the workbench or editing menu. FC6 makes you do everything from a workbench.
I felt the same for a little while, that you couldn't pick up guns off dead soldiers. Then again having a loadout I like ready at all times without having to hunt em on an online.
I'm glad you don't have too unlock weapon slots on this far cry
Literally the only problem I've had with the game so far after playing for about 9 hours is the fact that I can't shoot pilots out of choppers without the supremo and resolver combo he mentioned
i use a bow with the arrow that disables electronics and vehicles :D they go down in a instant and the pilot gets out
