Great video James, I definitely need to incorporate more of the lower HR, longer duration, fat burning 🔥 type of exercise into my weekly training routine. Thanks for posting 👍
I gotta get cracking on this! I bought a low cost vest from Amazon many months back....but have not gotten into it yet. This is a good reminder to start soon....thanks!
@@movemorenowjames It is :) I dug it out of the closet and started wearing it just walking around the house this weekend. Will take it out on some neighborhood walks soon.
We’re fortunate to have a Goruck club where we live and I have a bunch of their packs. They’re designed for Goruck events so as well as the plate, they need to hold water bladder, and other bits and bobs. They also have handles to help with some of the various “exercises” (torture sessions) we do. I wouldn’t take anything else to a GR event as it would be 100% destroyed. The GR rucks will outlast me. If you aren’t doing a GR event though, and just want to go rucking, then really no need to pay up for a GR bag, however like all things, you get what you pay for and GR rucks will last forever and have a lifetime warranty if something goes wrong. I would recommend one of the Rucker series if you want to use it for EDC as well.
I dd write “Goruck club” above but that should have been just “Ruck club”. Goruck makes the gear most of us use but do not run the Ruck club. Next time you visit Tokyo come along.
Good question - it really all depends on the current fitness levels and any potential issues but I would imagine most could start off fairly comfortably with 10kg and take it from there. Also, just build the actual sessions up both in time and frequency over a few weeks / months.
Another great video btw! Rucking really is the best. Been injured running plenty of times. Never injured rucking.
Thanks - as said, really appreciate the feedback.
Looking good, James. This rucking must be beneficial 💪💪 Keep up the great work!
Cheers Mark… it’s all good 👍

Thanks - yup, it’s a good way to add in more lower HR work which as we all know is crucial 👍
Still need to give this a whirl James. I still have my wieghted vest on my christmas present list. Great vid as always mate. 💪😎🤘
Thanks Ben… appreciate as always.

Sorry if I missed this. Do you have a weight recommendation for a beginner?
