My first and favorite Twisted Metal. What makes it really interesting is that the ENTIRE GAME is through the eyes of Sweet Tooth. It’s how he views the world and the characters.
if you want more lore regarding TM Black, check out Tactical Bacon Productions. he made some vids about theories in the game. unless you already know him.
Marcus Kane always had meta endings, that doesn't make his story the canon one. Every character's story is internally canonical, but there is no larger worldbuilding beyond that.
@@miguelbranquinho7235No Sweet Tooth is and has always been the main character, well atleast to the OG and main developers of TM 1, 2 a Black. This is the one I was waiting for. I remember randomly being gifted this by my parents as a kid because it was cheap lol. I was always obsessed with this and the early Resident Evil series despite being afraid of them.
Old school Resident Evil 2 is just more scarier than the remake, my first RE, and this is true, if a game makes you afraid to progress, then it's doing its job of scaring you real good, and that's a fact. And another thing, Off with the heads of those dog jumpscares in RE: Code Veronica X, no, all jumpscares from RE, felt like my chest was on fire and the adrenaline rush was not helping, 10/10 game, but the villian has a funny voice though.

@@BlooTeg ah thats unfortunate! You will need a PS3 to play it, Im not sure if the PS4 can play it. Emulation of the game with RPCS3 still needs optmization. Even with a freaking godlike computer, it runs at 30-45 fps.
If you check out Head-On try the PS2 version, it has extra levels for a Twisted Metal game that was never completed and some extras for another unfinished Sweet Tooth game.
Actually blue tag this game is not a reboot this whole game takes place and sweet tooth's head Minion in this game speaks and code revealing he is Marcus kane trying to remain unhidden by speaking in code so sweet tooth can't take over The reason this game is so dark Twisted and bleak is because this is how sweet tooth sees the world he's so insane that he sees the world is nothing but a dark depressing world with blood and gore
Since you didn’t mention it, Black’s Minion actually has some really surprising lore! Check him out, revisit sweet tooth’s story, maybe even Charlie Kane’s, and, why not, check out Twisted Metal head on too, with sweet tooth. Might help you figure out more about this game!
When I went deeper about Twisted Metal, for a second I actually remember about Hot Wheels Velocity X, which is basically a car combat game of Hot Wheels. Might you can check it out, the game itself is also quite known to the world (I'm not suprised if you already played this back then)
the creator Jaffery or whatever his name was said that he got criticised for the previous twisted metal games for being too tounge and cheek so in protest he went the complete opposite for twisted metal black and i think he done a good job the presentation is superb
I'm sure it's been brought up, but find Rogue Trip, it's the true spiritual sequel to Twisted Metal 2. Single Trac lost the IP to 989 Studios, but still had all the software so they made Rogue Trip, which is like TM2 but smoother and sillier, but still extremely playable.

Congrats on the new video! its a shame we never got a sequel to Black but the remade build from the leaks for Harbor City are fantastic. keep up the good work mate.
Its honestly been interesting to see the perspective of someone who has no nostalgia for the series go through it, and for you to imo have generally decent takes on the game lol. Some minor fun facts for you. The online version of TMB which you for free with the network adapter as a mail in made some changes to the game. Such as general in proved handling of the cars causing them to be far less likely to flip over though poor grim sometimes still falls over. Adds some slight homing to various specials such as grim's scythes (though that is very small), outlaw's special bullets, shadow's alt special. Removed self damage from everything except ricochets which was a yikes change. Gave Darkside damage reduction while using special, increased Axel's range and damage.... which takes him into completely busted territory. They also start the plane precrashed in junkyard, which they probably made as a post 9/11 change but it makes the map better so I wont complain. One thing that is kindof wack is that offline has team modes but online just doesn't. So when we play team games we have to self enforce which kindof sucks. I'm sure there are other changes but those are the big ones.
Oh damn, thanks for that! I was actually thinking about making a special someday playing this with friends, but that's gonna take a lot of effort to get it working + enough people to play within an okay distance because of lag lol
@@BlooTeg I will say the lag shouldn't be thaaat big of a factor, one of of the guys we play with in the Saturday group is Australian, and I'm east coast US. That is fairly bearable and probably the worst case scenario lol. Not to claim tmbo netcode is good lol, you definitely need to be able to read the lag a little bit for powers, and some of the direct fire specials. That being said in online how hit registration works is the missile needs to hit on the receiving player's screen to register, so dodging projectiles will always feel 1 to 1 you just might have moments as the attacker when something for sure looks like it hit but didn't. Ram damage and ram specials like DS and YJ though need to hit on the attackers side, probably because ramming would feel horrible if you had to what felt like a perfect ram but it didn't connect on their screen which it generally doesn't look like it does. Downside there is sometimes a Darkside specials near you, doesn't connect and you suddenly realize you took half your health in damage. But you generally get used to it lol. If you do want to get the connected to the revival server even if its just to play with some buddies I highly recommend joining the TMA discord, they are pretty good at getting people up and running on both hardware and emulator. as a hardware guy myself I can't walk someone through the emulator process.
@@BlooTeg Actually another weird thing since missiles are not synced by the server, technically speaking you can have a missile hit two different people. the mostly happens with powers and is very rare. Basically Player A fires a missile, on player B's screen it hits them, and on Player C's screen it misses player B and goes on to hit them. I don't think I could ever get a collateral on purpose though lmao.
Thank you for that info Skizzix! I also did not know that, thats a lot of kinda small but still very significant changes. Can it be played offline with bots? This team mode sounds interesting.
Hi, man! I've been watching your videos lately and they're awesome. Thanks for this great content. I hope your channel gets more subs and views in the near future. When you asked your viewers to suggest more games, I started a memory exercise trying to remember PSX games that I enjoyed. Many came to my mind, but I wanted to mention two of them. They are Nascar Rumble and Hot Wheels Turbo Racing. I played the first one with my neighbor a lot on his PSX, and it was really good. I don't know how good it is if you play singleplayer tho. I played the other one on PC, so I don't know how good was it on PSX tbh. I don't know if you like racing games. I hope you do, because these two are (obviously) racing games. If you don't, no worries, it's just a suggestion. Once again, thanks for your videos :D
Yes, I love racing games haha I'll definitely check it out, Nascar Rumble is a game I always wanted to play! And thank you for watching, glad you're enjoying the videos!
Love it! I Remembered Old Days when I was with my older brother just 2 controller and tv We played so many games like driver 1 and 2 ( like I mentioned before) and resident evil, tekken, japan football game or what ever and so on. thank you very much! Go on and for me do driver games because you will love it details of the games!
So glad I found your channel recently. I was looking forward to this one because Black is the only Twisted metal I played for more than an hour. (Though my PS2 copy was damaged, would crash constantly, and wouldn't save.) Still liked the game though!
Usually edgy stuff doesn't really phase me that much. I was pretty indifferent towards the, at the time, very controversial game 'Hatred'; I didn't really care about the torture sequence in GTA V and horror games don't scare me. If anything, they annoy me. But Twisted Metal Black accomplished a rare feat. The fact that there's a fucking corpse at the wheel of yellow jacket, combined with the lore behind it really made me feel uncomfortable.
Spoilers: Roadkill was actually an undercover agent (can’t remember if they specify FBI or CIA) that was sent to infiltrate a notorious neo-Nazi drug cartel, but he ends up suffering from amnesia. He ties in with Outlaw in that Outlaw was assigned to try and take down the cartel, but lets his rage get the better of him and ends up killing the family in the apartment next door. In the flashback, you see a ‘dead’ Roadkill slumped over in the room, but he survives (which might also be the cause of his amnesia if he was in a coma). In Outlaw’s ending, he’s more accurate with his shots and the family survives, but Roadkill manages to survive and then kills Outlaw instead as his dying thoughts were “.......I was so close..... I thought I did everything right...”
When you get to head on that’s when you’ll notice a classic style return with the old goofyness. Ever since TM: Black, Sweet tooth has never changed looks so it might be his most iconic look for the rest of the series. On the sidenote, glad to see you doing so well with your channel and the community you got! Who knows, you might even find some friends like with the Multiplayer vid you wanted to do. I sadly don’t have my PS2, but it’s always nice to drop by and see how things are going, especially since being a story writer can be boring… I’ve been waiting for so long just for people to finish their side of some projects I’m helping a few directors on. I’m mostly waiting for my friends to finish their work so that they can help me with my own Directed stuff, Games take a long time to make but hey. Dormitabis Remastered finally has a release window so I honestly don’t mind waiting. Reminds me… If you ever finish the TM series and played a few Flash games, I’d probably recommend Dormitabis or Dormitabis remastered if you’re looking for a PC game that looks good but isn’t too hefty on a computer… there’s a lot more as Fnaf is very popular, only difference is that fangames (Most anyways…) are free.
Thank you so much! I'm happy people keep coming back for the videos! Crazy amount of support honestly. Also, that's really cool! Good luck with your project! I'll keep an eye out for that since I'm planning on making a video specifically on flash games now haha

ahuahua muito obrigado!
provavelmente vou fazer um video sobre no Weird Nostalgia!
@@BlooTeg Caralho, que foda! Tô me inscrevendo no teu canal AGORA!
Hell yeah! This was by far my favorite in the franchise. I remember it being super difficult on my first play through, but I still loved the hell out of it.
While on the topic of car combat video games, have you ever played Vigilante 8? It's definitely going for a different tone than TM, but I always loved that one as a kid
no but with the amount of people asking I'll have to play it hahah
it looks very cool though
Have you played TM 2012? It's my favorite TM game, me and my little brother played it ALL day long nonstop, that's what I did for a while.
Not yet, working my way up there but I'm not sure I'll be able to this year because I don't own a PS3, but we'll see
TM 2012 is extremely underrated
@@BlooTeg ah thats unfortunate! You will need a PS3 to play it, Im not sure if the PS4 can play it. Emulation of the game with RPCS3 still needs optmization. Even with a freaking godlike computer, it runs at 30-45 fps.
@@BlooTeg oh ok
@@Reds-Retros one thing I hate about TM 2012 is that when everything targets you
The final boss is a callback to another Incognito/ Singletrac game, Warhawk, which was on PS1 and there also was a multi-player only game on PS3.
Oh interesting! I had no idea about that haha
If you check out Head-On try the PS2 version, it has extra levels for a Twisted Metal game that was never completed and some extras for another unfinished Sweet Tooth game.
Thank you! Definitely will, just waiting on my new controller haha
a true twisted metal fan who wont just talk bad about black.
Actually blue tag this game is not a reboot this whole game takes place and sweet tooth's head
Minion in this game speaks and code revealing he is Marcus kane trying to remain unhidden by speaking in code so sweet tooth can't take over
The reason this game is so dark Twisted and bleak is because this is how sweet tooth sees the world he's so insane that he sees the world is nothing but a dark depressing world with blood and gore
And here you are playing my favorite game of all time! Awesome content as always Bluetag!
thank you so much my dude!
This game is the darkest in the series and i love it
It was right up my alley! I understand why some didn't like that but I loved it!
I love the intro and i hope soon u can hit the 10k subs, cus u deserve it, your videos have an a amazing quality, keep it up
thank you so much! really glad you enjoy!
Maybe the real Twisted Metal Black were the friends we made along the way
I finally understand it now.
BIG steps towards that 6.9k subcount. pop off, queen.
ikr! lesgooooooooooooo
ah! the GoldenEye 64 pause menu theme, instant sub
Lesgooooooooo
This one is the hardest twisted metal on any difficulty
I agree! at least so far
Since you didn’t mention it, Black’s Minion actually has some really surprising lore! Check him out, revisit sweet tooth’s story, maybe even Charlie Kane’s, and, why not, check out Twisted Metal head on too, with sweet tooth. Might help you figure out more about this game!
I just didn't mention because I don't know that much about it besides what's in the TBP video hahah
I really need to try out this series now.
do it! really recommend it!
Bro I just recently found your channel I just cant stop watching your videos.
hey, I'm glad you enjoyed!
When I went deeper about Twisted Metal, for a second I actually remember about Hot Wheels Velocity X, which is basically a car combat game of Hot Wheels. Might you can check it out, the game itself is also quite known to the world (I'm not suprised if you already played this back then)
Great idea! Actually have a funny story about that game lol
I did play it for a bit
On ps4 the eu version is 1.6 gig and the us version is like 4 gig crazy
Twisted metal 2...Twisted metal head on...and of course...twisted metal black...the Twisted metal unholy trinity
roadkill is a fbi agent with a memory problem
correct, but I didn't wanna spoil too much hahah
the creator Jaffery or whatever his name was said that he got criticised for the previous twisted metal games for being too tounge and cheek so in protest he went the complete opposite for twisted metal black and i think he done a good job the presentation is superb
I'm sure it's been brought up, but find Rogue Trip, it's the true spiritual sequel to Twisted Metal 2. Single Trac lost the IP to 989 Studios, but still had all the software so they made Rogue Trip, which is like TM2 but smoother and sillier, but still extremely playable.
will definitely do that one!
Your way of talking makes me feel so comfortable, using your videos now to do another things too, you are so good bro, keep it up! 😉💯
Hey, I'm really glad to hear! Thank you so much!
Theres allota gaming soundtracks that go under appreciated, nothing takes me back more than hearing Fable's Or Crash's music
true!
honestly i love this channel and im glad i found it
I'm glad you love it!
The same developers of War of the Monsters.
This twisted metal black is the best of the entire saga.
There was another game I know that had one proper song with the rest of the music being OST: FREEKOUT !! AKA the BEST motorcycle game ever
OH wouldn't that be Freekstyle? It's the only one I could find haha
@@BlooTeg yeah, it is, my fingers just like to do their own thing sometimes 🤦
hahah it's alright
and thank you for becoming a member!
@@BlooTeg for sure! I love the content and figured I'd support you!
I like the sound of your voice! Nice series of TM games! 😀
haha thank you so much! really glad you enjoyed it!
I love when games go full grimdark I wish it was more commun, you should play manhunt too
Never played it, definitely want to!
Congrats on the new video! its a shame we never got a sequel to Black but the remade build from the leaks for Harbor City are fantastic. keep up the good work mate.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed!
Dark themed games >
Also congrads on another sub milestone!
thank you! also couldn't agree more
For me, Black is the best. 2 was great, Head-On was awesome. But Black was perfection.
This game was a trip.
I'm sad that you did not talk about the Minion / Marcus Kane part of the game. I think you would have love it-
you're right, I should probably have digged a little deeper on that one
Are you planning on doing Twisted Metal Small Brawl and the ps2 version of Head-On?
Yeah! Soon enough!
Yes, I love racing games haha
I'll definitely check it out, Nascar Rumble is a game I always wanted to play!
And thank you for watching, glad you're enjoying the videos!
Love it! I Remembered Old Days when I was with my older brother just 2 controller and tv
We played so many games like driver 1 and 2 ( like I mentioned before) and resident evil, tekken, japan football game or what ever and so on.
thank you very much!
Welp rip, I feel you
it was a great game though! Really ended up loving it!
Oh and thanks for watching!
Spoilers:
Roadkill was actually an undercover agent (can’t remember if they specify FBI or CIA) that was sent to infiltrate a notorious neo-Nazi drug cartel, but he ends up suffering from amnesia.
I never even knew tht a censored version existed.
My copy had all the cutscenes and everything so I guess I gt lucky with mine.
yeah, which is insane with the amount of censorship haha
The EU version is censored. Yours is problably the american version. Maybe an US version desguised as EU?
YESSS finally my favorite twisted metal game
Great video man! Always look forward to them!
Thank you for watching! Glad you're enjoying!
Finally, black!
I’ve been wanting you to do twisted metal black instead of doing the lighter tone games hopefully you can play twisted metal 2012
I sure hope so too!
Hope you look into small brawl and head on as well! Love your reviews and so glad to have found you!
I did! Small talk about it coming soon!
thank you so much! really glad you enjoyed!
Nice so when you got to do the other 1s in the Twisted Metal series after this 1!
Dude I really like your videos. I like your humor. I hope to see more like those videos :D
thank you so much! glad you enjoyed!
I sadly don’t have my PS2, but it’s always nice to drop by and see how things are going, especially since being a story writer can be boring…
I’ve been waiting for so long just for people to finish their side of some projects I’m helping a few directors on.
The only twisted metal i played alot was the psp game (head on) definitely enjoyed it in my younger days
definitely gonna work on a video for that one!
Another certified blue tag classic😎👌
hell yeah thank you my dude!
Just wanted to say that rat avatar is hilarious
hahahah I know right? thank you Nintendo.
I hope you also review the last 3 games on the series and maybe take a small look at lost
definitely will! just taking me a bit longer, had some problems in between :(
@@BlooTeg take however long you need I'd rather wait for something great then have you feel rushed to make a video and I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks that way. Keep up the good work your videos made me go back and replay the whole series myself.
That's cool! I'm really glad! they're such good games, I hope to finish the series soon enough
Be sure to check out twisted metal head on! It's considered the true sequel to twisted metal 2!
definitely will!
The ps1 intro and gnawty lmao definitely earned a sub from me
let's gooooo
thank you!
Wait until he plays Twisted Metal (PS3)
Ok, I'll wait
