- This week we sail to Vinalhaven for an impromptu Pacific Seacraft Owner’s meetup and live concert performed by singer songwriters Bennett and Perkins aboard their sailboat. On our passage North, we sail through a sea of lobster buoys which tests our patience and resolve.

Epidemic Sound
Music on the water like that says all you need to know!
Awesome to see that you 2 bought a serieus sailing ship! Really happy 4 u 2🌴🛳️🎉
Shots, music, cutting all done so good I don't notice it most of the time. Well done.
Shivver me timbers, you guys have become a sea go-in duo !
Love your video's ~ much love from New Hampshire!!!
I have been watching just not commenting much lately. So busy repairing boats, painting the sailing club and repairs to my Truck collection are all keeping me a little busy.
Great music.
Guys, I was already typing a comment while the Bennett and Perkins song was playing. While I was typing Jordan gave the source in the video. Loved the song, and my Tartan 37's name is Stella Blue, so it was perfect!
The music at the end was wonderful
that was so much fun to watch, thank you .... livin the dream
Just an excellent video! Great photography, drone footage and superb music! Pretty nice place too!
Beautiful cruise.
I've been following your vlog since the beginning and you just keep getting better and better!!
Desire and Jordan, you are the best. I watch every episode. I can not wait to see the new projects on the boat. Thank you.
Awesome video! Must also watch Sailing into Freedom’s Exile at Sea series - just amazing!
Thank You!
Everytime I watch your videos i miss my ocean and think about someday making it to Maine..
Loved the ladies voice and songs at the end, what a great finish 😘
Your video was beautiful! Your dingy meet up (and social distancing) was really cool!
I was as just on Deer Isle last week. No boat this year. When I had the boat, pots are a mixed blessing. If you are in the pots you will likely not hit bottom. When the pots suddenly stop, the water either got a lot deeper or there are rocks you can hit. Those lobstermen know where the rocks are and generally stay clear. Some of those "rocks" will stand 15 to 20 feet off the surrounding bottom.
How cool! Really enjoy seeing this part of the US! Well done!👏👏😁
I wish I had an uncle and aunt like you to sail with when I was younger!! Love your videos!!
Amazing video thanks for sharing ⛵️⛵️⛵️💕
Beautiful!
Words can not express the genius of the editing.
I absolutely loved the concert dingy meetup. Great video and the end with the music was wonderful. Great great video.❤️❤️
Great music! Lots of love ❤️
Total bad ass meet up. Great video, again. Well done.
Nice sail, nice anchor, nice people, makes a great time. Atticus II stands out in the group, great looking boat.
What a beautiful place Maine is! Thanks for sharing your journey!
Great Music on the Rock Cheers
You know as a new viewer it's difficult to go back and watch about Atticus 1 ... The inrto does become something I ffw
“That’s a little dyer but whatever “ 😂😂
This is hands down the very best episode yet. And as a Mainer you remind me just how fortunate I am to live and sail here. Safe travels!
Great video. Atticus II looks great sailing and at anchor. She’s a beauty. Thanks for the ride along. 👍🇺🇸
Awsome! Keep Safe! Waiting for the little baby in the family? From South Africa with all our Love!
I love Saturday mornings! Sitting with my coffee, sailing up the coast of Maine and listening to Cap’n Oso in the background complaining about how he’s never allowed to take the helm.
I just bought the same dinghy and an E-Propulsion outboard very similar to yours. I was also amazed by the quiet and ability to go forwards or backwards with a flick of the wrist. The best part is, it just works! No more pulling ropes and wondering if the outboard is going to start. Or maybe the best part is that I can hold the engine in one hand as I board the dinghy, and someone can hand me the battery after the rest of the engine is safely mounted. Dealing with your outboard 20 lbs. at a time is the way to go.
Good going guys. I loved the concert in the fog of the bay. Thank you.
Funny when you traded the dog for snacks!
The boat is beautiful
Great vid with beautiful shots!
Awesome drone shots!
that looked like the perfect stopover. Enjoy. You make me miss my Challenger 35" ketch. 5:00 am with the birds fish and the sun coming up was always a beautiful part of the day.
Such breathtaking views. The sunrise is so beautiful. Glassy water, picture perfect!
Another great vid! I love how Oso comes with his very own handle. Very convenient 🤣
It looks like you left Penobscot cove at dead low tide. Don’t forget to dig or buy some soft shell clams or steamers as we New Englanders call them they are delicious with melted butter. A few things about the coastline of Maine #1 it’s hard to see the coastline in the morning because of the fog, #2 it’s rugged and very rocky, #3 it’s hard to find beaches with sand lol 👍 yesireebob
Wow! You all just get better, and better and better. The level of honesty, candidacy, and fun is just amazing in your content. Please keep safe and GOD bless you all.
What a heartwarming episode! So nice!
I actually doing a course for the sailing license in Germany and I guess German is the language with the longest words you can imagine. For the German student onboard, here are some specials:
Donauschifffahrtspolizeiverordnung (what means: the police rules for ships on the River Danube)
Binnenschifffahrtsstraße (means: Inner Waterway)
Real tongue breaker 🤪
Welcome to Maine… and the endless lobster pot dodging. That’s my neck of the woods. Vinalhaven and seal bay are home away from home. Just don’t get hung up on the sandbar between the hen islands. Hope you got to enjoy Penobscot Bay. Totally fun to see my house in your video.
You two tell really great stories and your videos just keep getting better. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. I commend you for sailing with a dog; I don't know how people can do that.
As a young boy in summer, I was fortunate enough to be able to crew on 12, 15, 18 & 21-foot sloops located in Salem harbor, MA along with some Snipes, Stars, US 1's and think us 2;s and some others during race-week sailing from Marblehead Harbor, Ma. Everywhere that you looked there was a lobster pot. Oh, what fun. But what a simply super learning experience. I used to take my 15' Old Town center station out and drag in lots of the "tip-overs" during the racing times.
Totally enjoy your journey. Been watching for some time. But. So much effort went into buying the boat to head off into the sunset. And there were so many options out there. Production boats, like the one I own, could have taken you around the world with all the solar, generator, water maker set ups that would have had you on your way already. Do you feel you’ve not made the right decision? No matter what. And no matter what boat. We are all still fixing or tweaking the ones we own. Or currently in my case the one I captain. To replenish the boat kitty ! Keep the videos coming. You’ve come a long way. Beers and cheers !
Loved the music at the end
We really enjoyed this episode, and we hope you are keeping a keen eye on the weather headed your way. Stay safe!
Likewise..the Maine episodes have been truly awesome!! but keep the lil dude buttoned down as I'm sure you are already watching the models on Henri
That was awesome! The nephew is a really cool guy!!! Looking forward to more "german" puns :D Beste Grüße aus Deutschland!
Ahhhh Early Saturday am with a Beverage in hand watching my Favorite Buds sailing the Maine coast!! 👍🌲⛵️
The sunrise shots are breathtakingly beautiful.
Great episode, loved the background music.
Yes indeed a wonderful episode thank you.
Like Sailing Magic Carpet I stumbled across your fantastic offerings on RUclips. I have watched them with great enjoyment, thank you for putting them out. So now having caught up I will have to be patient and wait until Saturday. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your fun and antics.
This video made my morning. So nice to watch with a cup of coffee! 14:20 and 18:50 - love the way the water reflects on the hull of the boat. The Atticus 2 is one of the most beautiful boats in its class that Ive seen yet! Great content as always - you guys seem happy!
nice music . cool video . Thank You ! :)
Oso is doing so good in the water and sailing .So cute love watching him 🥰
The other comment is that the best way to navigate them is to have someone on the bow point which way to steer. Just like you would when retrieving the anchor. If the person on the bow sometimes points to the hazard and sometimes points to the way to go, you will have a long tiring day. Also, shouting to the helms person who has the sound of the motor in their ear is a good way to start a marital spat.
Dodging pots is crazy here too. The other day we were heading back to our slip from anchoring out over night and I almost ran us aground because I started focusing entirely on the crab pots and not my channel markers. My wife came up from the galley and said “why is that red marker on your left. Aren’t we returning?” 😬 cheers y’all!
While you're in Maine, the cocktail drinks you create can be topped with lobster looking pot. Beneath the pot is a lemon, or whatever. As goes Maine, so goes the cocktail.
Please say a big hello to us in New Zealand , can’t wait for your new episode ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🍷🍷🌺
You guys should check out cape Breton, it’s one of the most beautiful places in Canada and it’s on the east coast.
That will be an amazing memory for your nephew Jordan, something he'll never forget. Awesome video!
Greetings from Germany. I love your videos
That was wonderful, glad your nephew could be involved . Memories made.
Wow! Fabulous camera work, GORGEOUS scenery - you guys have outdone yourselves with this one!!
Awesome day guys. My life sucks in comparison! lol 😂
Enjoying your videos
Really enjoy your videos.
Love the electric outboard. Hope you guys talk about it a bit more in your future videos and let us know us how you like it once you had more experience with it especially compared to your other outboard and give us some more pros/cons.
Loved the video and the music!
Excellent episode! Just great! The music, the drone footage, the dialogue. Thanks!
We spent all of July and the beginning of August in Maine (Northeast Harbor for 4 weeks, then Buck's Harbor, Belfast, Camden, Tenant's Harbor, Snow Island, Harpswell (Dolphin Marine), South Freeport, and the Goslings) and it was amazing. I LOVE Maine!! Oh and for the lobster pots, I have told people that it is like tossing a bucket of Legos into a living room and then trying to walk across the floor. It is HARD, especially with the toggles!
Been there...literally. Seal Bay. That's why people cruise Maine. We have anchored within 20-30 feet of the raft up a few times. Collected ,mussels off the rocks and had a little steamed mussels with butter party. Go around the corner to Pulpit and climb the hill to the General Store and get a bumbleberry pie. Pick Blackberries and raspberries along the way. Duck when the plane lands. Don't leave Pen Bay before going to Rockland and maybe Camden to breakfast above the falls--an experience not to miss. There's so much more...
Awesome to see you with a Torqueedo Travel. I love mine. Just be warned... get some extra sheer pins. You hit anything with the prop and it will do what it is designed for but that design can leave you stranded or barely moving. Love the quality of your videos bud! Much love from NC. Owen, Lynn and Maggie
How cool and looked like so much fun!
Killer episode
Great to see the different sailing channels helping each other out the way Billy & Sierra did for ye ... what goes around comes around ... and a lovely end to this weeks video too with the concert ... Stay Safe & Fair Winds !!
Amazing video! Thank you so much.
Wait till you see Tenent's Harbor. Now There's a minefield! We kept our Cape Dory 36 at Robinhood for several years. Try leaving there through the Little Sheepscott River sometime with the current behind you. saves you a few minutes and the narrows past Mac Mahan Island are fun.
Looks so fun and peaceful...
Sehr gut!
Early morning coffee and Atticus II!! The new Saturday morning tradition!
Oh man that calm water 1st thing in the morning is stunning....
Oh what a great way to start my early Sunday morning, hanging with you kids aboard Atticus lol!
Outstanding!
Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful place! 😍
I've been watching for awhile and I think this has been the most enjoyable video post you have done in some time. It was so relaxing to watch and visually stimulating. thanks
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Best wishes always guys!
