if it was a Sasquatch ( which I believe), you have to remember they have been reported to be 12 feet tall & damn near half a ton, it could’ve squeezed/crushed him so fast that to us, it would be like the snap of the neck on a small animal.

Bears have been documented on more than one occasion standing up and using their front paws to smash down onto a human so thats probably what happened, people have been killed necks broken by a single tiger or lion paw swipe so this is easily capable for a much heavier predator
