Batman visiting The Riddler is similar to the police visit in the japanese movie called High And Low directed by Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa is one of Matt Reeves favorite filmmakers
He wanted to show Batman that the difference between a parent that was taken from him vs the parents that abandoned him. In the end you only lost your parents. Riddler said I lost everything. The privilege giving a lecture to the condemn.

4:37 really reminds me of Bale’s Batman. Especially the way he says “psychopath”
Paul Dano should become a singer!
Yeah he sang a banger in 12 years a slave movie. Funny thing is he said Batman was rough for his mental health.
0:57 😳..... Am I the only one who tensed up when he started chanting "Bruuuuce Wayne?" I know, he didn't really figure it out since he was just talking about how Bruce got away in his plan of revenge with Alfred getting blown up instead of him, but still.
5:59 the birth of a meme

Paul dano is such a talented actor l loved his portrayal of the riddler better than jim carrey’s
He play an good Riddler
Huge Paul Dano fan. He was superb here
“All it takes is fear and a little focused violence.”
4:40-4:42-4:53-4:56-4:59
When batman visited riddler at arkham asylum, he confronts riddler, he asked him what have he's done
Riddler is ultimate troll lol
4:40 sounds a little like the dark knights batman voice. I like it. Hopefully he’ll get angry again in the next movie so we can hear more of this😂
Effin Dano, man. Love this dude. 😅
I’ll never forget the gasps in the theater when I first saw this scene
I love how he says "Looking down on everyone with all that money." When in reality, Bruce spends most of his time on the streets and below the ground.
Does anyone think that Riddler used to have a little sibling? The way he talks about the babies dying in the orphanage and being on the edge of tears, it makes me think he cared about someone there. Or at least cared for one like a brother.
bro this should be a tv series
Such a good movie
The riddler knew that batman was Bruce, and he's talking about Bruce to him like he isn't buve is trying to make him admit he is
This is the definitive Batman universe we have at the moment
So, is this the " If you have a milkshake..." guy?
For the longest, i thought The Riddler knew who The Batman was.
That metal ring is wide enough for him to just take it off :D
Does he know?
More like: The Batman interrogating Luigi Mangione 4:39 🦇🤜
Wouldn't be that hard to figure out that specific batman is Bruce. Pretty distinct jawline and the mask fits to the outline of his head perfectly.
3:07 that half second silence
After 3 or 4 watchings I realized how good Dano is in this.
Batman accidently revealed his identity to Riddler by looking at camera's when The Riddler said Bruce Wayne
Comparing the visuals of this movie to literally almost anything marvel has done is like a hydrogen bomb vs a coughing baby. Like marvel really has NO SAUCE with their visuals. And their movies are only looking worse and worse as time goes on.
