  • This is better than I thought. Only 2.5 Lbs or 1.5 Kilos difference weight from the regular Ultra, however with the Nano it makes an amazing set up.

    Very interesting review. Thank you.
    I really like the idea of an ultralight battery and I'd definitely get one as an addition.
    But to sell 42% of the battery for 62% of the price is kinda .. creative.

I hope your knee is better soon, I know well what it's like to have knee trouble, my knee caps dislocate very easily and it's no fun but we make the best hey! Hi Coach, again, a great video! Have you ever tried to combine the Flyer800 with the Race 200 stabilizer? That is my favourite setup for longer trips with the Ultra because it is efficient, can go crazy fast and is very stable but quite responsive. Let me know how you like it. Cheers & best greetings from Hamburg/Germany, Stephan ps glad to see your knee is better now.

    Love your videos!! I have been switching back and forth from cruiser 1100 and flyer 800 wing. How would the jet 1500 you keep taking about differ or be better? Also what length of selfi stick are you using for your insta360. I am thinking on getting one to video my rides. Thanks again!

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад

      The 1500 is a quiver killer...it can be maneuverable as the 800 flyer if you pair it with the 245 stab, it can be as fast to...just watch out for and "angle of attack"...cause has more lift...so you can take the 1500 that can do almost what the 800 does and you can also go surfing on big swells ... not carving waves cause the 1100 s will be better for that....so you have a wing that can do both jobs without changing ...not mentioning the expended riding time and distance... I keep my selfie stick between 50 to 60 inches ... most cases 60 inches...but you can zoom in and out with the Insta 360 as you are editing the video. Thank you for the =comment bud and please consider subscribing...cheers

    Hello Rolando,
    I enjoy your videos very much. You are one of the few surfers who is not a flyweight. I am 6.2 ft tall and about 100 KG "light", without neoprene. After windsurfing and wingsurfing career I started my eFoil career in March 23. I currently ride a Fliteboard Series 2 with Explorer battery and Cruiser Front Wing 1100 with 290 stabilizer.
    My big passion is carving. I am thinking of upgrading to a Flow 900 or 1300 with 245 stabilizer. What do you recommend? Unfortunately I surf 95% on a small lake in the Frankfurt, De area and rarely have the opportunity to surf waves, which is my goal though. Looking forward to your recommendation and many interesting videos from you.
    PS: do you make the movies with an Insta360? I have unfortunately already sunk mine in the lake.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад +1

      Thank you for the feed back bud....and yes...I use the Insta360 and this one is my 3rd one...I lost 2 of them the same way as you...dropped as I was riding. At 100KG I think the flow 1100 S will be your best choice if you and to carve at lower speeds...at hight speeds I would go with the 900 S...now you said that you want to get into surfing wakes on the lake...if that is the case the 1500 Jet will be the best choice...it will not be as maneuverable ut you can still carve with it...Ill be making another video with he 1500 wing in more detail...but it really all depends on you...as I said...high speeds carving 900S...low speeds carving 1100S...now for low or high speeds carving not as loose and with the potential of surfing and long distance performance is the 1500 jet...the jet can do a lot things ... I hope this helps

      @hansfriedrichgum2191 I ride at the Charles River…is almost like a lake that runs around Boston MA. No strong currents … just like a lake but has connection with the ocean and there are several locks that opens to the ocean. The good thing about lakes is that you dint have to wash and clean your board as much if was in the ocean.

    Fernando, which wings would you recommend for a 185lb 5’9” rider on the Ultra L + Nano for riding on the Great Lakes? The Cruiser Jet 1500 + Flite 300 Stab?
    Thank you!

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад +1

      It all depends.... what are you looking for, the type of ride you want...fast, cruise long distance or surf boat wakes... if you are looking for a good wing all around with the Nano them yes...the 1500 jet with the 300 jet stab will be the best combo because will allow you to glide more and mare your battery last longer. you will go faster on a 800 and 290 and also be a little more maneuverable ...however you will not ride as long...you might loose about 7 to 10 mins of riding time. Do you have a set up already?

    Rolando- your riding weight is 90Kg? If so, your riding time was longer than Fliteboard estimates with the Nano and Ultra L!

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад +1

      Im about 200Lbs… I was riding in a bay on a windy day.. I was trying to avoid the head wing … mostly cross wind so I could ride downwind … at first I was cranking at 11 gear then I did most riding at about 7 gear downwind.

    • @Fluterra
      @Fluterra Год назад +1

      @@Coach_Rolando And you got about 45 min on a full battery? That’s quite good. But then upwind would have reduced it… The Fliteboard calculator says about 35min at that 24kph, which is probably accurate.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад

      @Fluterra I did not get 45 mins on that set up … I got about 35/37 min… I said if you pair up with the 1500 jet wing I think you could go to 45 mins if you are trying to go cruising on slower speeds because the 1500 will make you glide more.. specially if you got some wakes you surf.

    • @Fluterra

      @@Coach_Rolando Hi, I see, thank you! I am about 83Kg without wetsuit, helmet, etc, so prob 90Kg riding weight. I don't get waves here on the Great Lakes unless its really windy, so I guess I'll be looking at about 30 min (tried Fliteboard's range calc as well)... wondering if the Nano battery is worth it given my weight and without waves? I have the Explorer batt now. I have to push my board up a hill 1km each way, so the Nano will be much easier...

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Год назад +1

      @@Fluterra I see your problem...you might get 25 to 35 mins depending how you are riding...however it all depends on your style of riding...some people are cool with riding just 20 to 30 mins (but that means you have to go slow if you want to get that with the nano)...Now me for instance ... I like to ride really fast at gear 12 to 14 non stop (25/30mph or 40/48Kmh)...so my explorer lasts about 40 to 45mins...In that case I don't want to have a Nano because It would cut my riding time to 15 to 20mins at those speeds,,,so I don't see myself getting one now.
      However I do intend on getting the 1500 Jet wing (to get more glide) and spend more time at the beach trying to catch "wakes or swells"...not barking fast waves...So I can see buying the Nano in the future... I hope this helps.
      Ps...Buy this on Amazon...it will help you on your 1Km walk for sure...let me know what you think...cheers
