  • This is a full review on my Fliteboard… I spend almost 1 year doing my research on e-foils, specially about the best 2 brands out there (Lift and Fliteboard) ... until I finally bought my Fliteboard… and here are 4 reason/facts among others why fliteboard is the best eFoil by far in the market today. Please leave your comments

    Good and honest review, thank you Ronaldo. One other advantage of the Fliteboard aluminium mast is it won't break if you hit the bottom while you are riding, lots of carbon fibre masts break, and to be honest I can't understand why anybody would but a Lift over a Fliteboard, Fliteboard is just so much better in every way.

      Yes bud...I hit the mast so many times and I need a problem with the mast...Fliteboard is coming up with the 3.0 version soon...I can't wait to see what they will do next. They are by far the best Efoil out there and no one will catch up with them.

    My Fliteboard eliminated the magnet. Two clicks and done! 👍
    I really struggled with the Lift controller. And I haven't experienced any of the technical issues (droputs, vapor lock) that my Lift froends have. Super happy with Fliteboard.

      As I said here...there are so many advances having the Flite....and it will get even better for sure. thank you for the feed back.

      Glad to help...also if you compare them side by side in terms of quality...you will notice that Fliteboarod is better...Ill be making a 1 year and 10 tips about the footboard thus summer...like everything ... with time you get to know it better...but still despite the 2 minor problems that I find with it....I have no regrets....One thing to keep in mind...just becarefull when you are in the shallow areas cause you can bend the stab that holds the rear wing...is the only thing you really have to pay attention. Enjoy your new toy brother and thank you for the feed back.

      Congrats man...you will have a blast...If is your first real time on be be patient...try to find your "sweet spot" standing up before you really "take flight"...th faster you see where that sweet spot is...the faster you will become an expert...At my first sessions I used to use a marker and make a dot where my big toe on both foot should be...just for my first few rides...after that you don't need to look down anymore...Are you in MA?? Make some videos for us brother.

    Great review and i enjoyed seeing the Roadster as well. I can say that i have actually owned both a Lift and Fliteboard. Very fair comparison on the points. Overall I would say most of these are pretty minor points of difference ie connections because most people probably leave them connected etc and it doesn’t take much time but perhaps in 2 years you see more failures. I think Lift is less stable and as I articulate it more for ‘professionals’ if they want to foil waves without power the folding prop is a game changer however for most people you will tend to lose control with Lift whenever it breaches whereas with Fliteboard I find you can recover easier and it is a much nicer fit and finish etc overall. That said Lift has been having some promo’s of 10k for their board packages so there is some substantial savings. I would always pick Flite as i am on the ocean so in chop etc stable board is much nicer to ride with fewer wipeouts (and i have 2 years experience now). I sold my Lift and got a second fliteboard so that says enough. Now how cold is the water in NE? I am in Cayman and some days here it feels chilly lol… Enjoy the ride tx for the video.

      Good to know that you liked the review D...Like everything else time will tell...Great to hear your feed back as well and I feel relieved lol...Im about to make a video this summer of one year of use...and I can add 2 small flaws... 1- I have the "true glad prop" and I made a review here but did not had the chance to use it in a wave yet...however one day the prop broke its "clutch mechanism" and basically I had 0 trust...Luckly this happen right once I put the board in the water so I was able to swim back to shore...however I go for 7 to 8 miles runs off shore and now I don't take that chance anymore with the true glide prop...I only use the true glide if im going surfing so that way im closer to shore.... 2 One minor flaw is the "stab that hols the stabilizer wing"...one day I was getting in the beach and as I was going over the waves still laying on the board...a wave came, throw my nose up and the boar came down on its tail and the stab hit the bottom...The impact bent the stab and the board off corse was all out of balance and control...them I just bought another stab...but if you bend the shaft where the stab attaches you are in for a $3000 damage (cause you have to buy a whole mast)... Like I said...time will tell and nothing is perfect...but regardless im extremely pleased with my board and like you thinking on getting the 2.2 version soon. Yeah man...it gets cold here...I have some videos of been in the water here when it was 39...But the season is starting soon so I can wait to be in the water. Stay safe out there man and have fun.

      @@Coach_Rolando ya I see the point. I’ll be curious on the true glide. I don’t think it will work as well as the folding prop that said I also think u need some decent size swells for either to work. We don’t get those here the waves due to the shallow coral break fast so not great for the efoil. I hear you on the stab that said if it was a lift you may have head to buy a whole new wing assembly maybe? I’ve seen a few mast disasters with the carbon fiber so issues there as well. I think the learning is don’t get caught in shallow water with either lol.
      My worst wipe out was with the lift went over the front and the mast hit my shin and gashed me. Feel safer on the flite but again learning is don’t go over the front lol….also wear a Helmut at least. I’ve had a friend who was an amazing water skier have a freak accident and brain damage…;( so while I don’t always wear a vest always wear the Helmut. We r too old to recover these days lol…
      Let me know if ur ever in cayman drop in for a ride.

      @@dratz750 Hey bud I agree with everything you said...I push my luck for sure...I only fel in front of the efoil once and I was going really fast...the wing came down on my back but the vest helped me with the impact. Yes...the efoil is deff not perfect for surfing...we don't have big swells here either....but I notice that the "flow wing" is very sensitive for choppy water too.... I just got out the water about 2 hours ago...and it was windy and small wakes everywhere...if you go agains the wind or downed you are still ok...but if you go sideways on those wakes is it becomes really hard to ride it...I think from now on Ill keep my flyer wing in the car with me depending on the condition...but non of the less is always fun to be in the water...if you ever go to MA let me know brother...cheers

      Hello Mark...yes and no...that is a 5ft Pro but a 2.0...I just got a 2.2 this past Friday cause ill be teaching lessons soon and Ill be doing a review on the 2.2 very soon...but I can tell you ahead of time...it is basically the same thing...the only big improvement I see it is that the motor is much quieter...not as much that someone else then you would notice...and the caring bag that carries the mast is diff...other then that is the same thing...but as I said...keep eyes open cause ill kale a review by next week. thank you for the positive comment. cheers

    Hi Rolando. Thanks for the video!
    How much performance do you think you loose on a Flight Air Pro vs the standard Flightboard?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Месяц назад

      @@michaelvadney5803 Hello… to be honest o could not tell you for sure. But I don’t think would be much. Maybe 10% on your learning curb cause your “take off” will take longer at first… but the problem is not there… even after you get better the air is a bit “bulky” and trust me that volume in a windy day make a big difference. Honestly if this going to be “YOUR” board and not many people will be using then I would go for the fiber glass cause it will deff be your “progression” any way and is deff worth the extra $$$. But if you are sharing this board with tons of friends and family and you are no using it all the time, then the air will be a better choice. I hope this helps. Cheers and have fun with your new toy. If you need any help in purchasing one just let me know.

    what size board did you go with? Pro? 5'?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  2 года назад +1

      Yes...the PRO with the Flyer wing cause I already have some experience with wing foiling ... If you never do it before or ever done surfing I recommend you to start with the normal board and the cruiser wing. But once you get on the foil you will regress fast for sure...it all depends on your learning curb and your athleticism skills now

      Thanks for sharing! Best comparison between Lift vs. Flite I have seen. @Coach_Rolando  2 года назад

      @@trimtabletalk2882 Im glad this was able to help you...one thing for you to know that ill make a review after one year of use...just be really careful not to "bend" the 'rear stab"...where you attach the rear wing...this can really affect the wy the board rides....that is the only thing you should be concern about...other then that you will have a great time with fliteboarod....if you have any questions about it or did not understand about the "rear stab or rear wing" just let me know...but basically avoid as much as you can to hit the rear wing when you are taking off or when you are landing in shallow places...have fun with your board man
