    Hi, Coach Rolando! I thought that this was another GREAT video episode of good education on Fliteboard! Specifically, your close-up comparisons of each of the 3 boards’ buoyancy capabilities & how it relates to a rider’s weight, skill level, & how this weight-to-board relationship affects takeoff & ride stability. Easy to see how even you as a highly-experienced water sportsman had some challenge taking off, planing, then finally flying on the Ultra. I think I personally would now love to compare the new double-concave fiberglass Fliteboard version vs. the Pro. Have a fantastic trip to Fliteboard SF HQ. Like I mentioned earlier, remember to wear Sharkbanz in the Bay. And, of course, keep safe distance from the numerous container ships going in & out under the Golden Gate & Oakland Bay Bridges. Those SF Harbor Police are always watching. Have fun! Looking forward to seeing the video summary of your trip. Aloha! Robby

      Great to know that the video was helpful...it looks like you understood exactly the diff on each board...good to know you cough that...I made a small comparison on the fiber glass pro with he classic pro...you can see that on the Fliteboard Fber Glass video...it was not a major comparison but mainly about the construction of the board...Im looking up now on Sharkbanz ...thank you for the tips...and thank you for the feed back...be safe Robby

    Rolando - for the Fliteboard original that you show on the video what wing and shim set up are you using? Thanks!!

      All runs on every board where done with 800 flyer and 290 stab. I kept the same set up on all of them to show the difference...I basically just changed the foil from one board to the other...If you have any question or doubts feel free to contact me...I hope this was helpful. Cheers

    Great video. Trying to decide between 100l and pro, so this was helpful. Where did you shoot this video? Was trying to guess the city! Was that the Charles in Boston?

      Boston MA… if you have any doubts feel free to call me… I can help with your choice of set up ( board, wing set as well… wings are very important to what style of ride you want to have) and also help you with your purchase with the right person at Fliteboard

    Thank you for your video, I followed your advices from other videos regarding board choice. I started by losing some weight and I am down to 92 kg from 114 kg. I ordered Pro with flyer 800 and 245 stab. First time I was riding I had choppy conditions and I bearly managed to get up on the board for a few seconds. Definitely was on the edge with the size and flotation, with ultra probably wouldn't able to even start it.
    Started flying for long periods of time and with confidence on the third ride. I also love the wings choice although I don't have much experience with other wings for comparison. I like and practice extreme sports but with my weigh I am also 194cm tall, the speed for flying with flyer 800 is little bit intimidating and scarry at the beginning.

      The good thing abuts you having the Pro is that you will progress a lot on that board....Im sure was more challenging for you to get up at first....but in choppy windy days try to get up going "down wing" rather than up wind...it. makes easier... But as I said ...you will stay on the pro for a long time for sure...I have the ultra and I still like the pro over the ultra...now if I was spending more time surfing that would be a diff opinion. thank you for the comment and please consider subscribing.

    Thanks. Good comparison. I just receiced my pro. Very happy. In the end I did opt for Flyer 800 (your favorite) and Flow 1300S. I hope this is a good combo. Greetings from Sweden

      The 1300S is actress wing too… very maneuverable yet stable… better at lower speeds… I love to go fast … that is my problem lol.. for each their own.., I know people who loves the 1300S… I can see it why… but as I said I like to ride at 25+ miles an hour. Good to know that this video was helpful snd thank you for the comment. Be safe snd have fun bud.

    Would this be good for the riviera maya? What happens if I slip? Does the board go flying forward and hard to get back lol or can you attach to it?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  4 месяца назад

      I was not sure e what “riviera maya” was… so I did a search. Beautiful place. Fliteboard is great for any place however you got to be careful not to ride in very shallow places (off course)… if you slip and fall the board stops and will not go far… however you got to be careful not to fall in front of your Efoil… to get back on the foil, after getting to your bard you just lay down on it and start to the process of “getting speed” and getting up. I do not recommend for you to have a “strap” on the board. Depending how you fall they could pull your leg hard. If you are not so familiar with the sport of Efoil I recommend for you to watch my video “how to Fliteboard”… it wil answer all your questions and doubts… is a long video but it will help you a lot even as “how to fall off” the board. I hope it will help you and please leave a comment on that video if it helped you… here is the link… ruclips.net/video/wnHXMFuHysg/видео.html

    Hey Roland
    First of all thanks for all your great videos I have watched every single one of yours!!! You are just awesome 🙏
    I have a question about your setup with the pro board and the Flyer 800.
    I have the same board and wing now wants to ride a bit sharper turns and more maneuverability.
    I ride the explorer battery and wanted to ask if you would recommend the sport battery or nano or rather the flow 900 wing? I only ride in flat water and have a weight of 75kg
    Best regards

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey bud...thank you for the kind words. So let me try to answer your question.
      If you want to be more loose and be able to do shaper turns then you should deff go to the 900S...it is going to be super loose and "slippery"...Now that sounds all fun and it can be "safe" as Lon g you are not going too fast...Meaning ... if what you want is to carve and turn sharp turns in slower speeds ...then the 900S is your wing to go..(you can still keep the 290 state until you get used to the 900S...then you can go to the 245 and that will make you even more loose.
      Now the problem with the 900S is that very slippery and unpredictable on high speeds...that is why im not big fan of it cause I like to go really fast.
      Now you could try also just to change the the stab...keep the 800 and put the 245 stab on the back...that will loosing up your board more...Im sure by know you dont ride with the propeller protector correct?
      And finally...you being at 75lbs, I assume that your center of gravety is more on the front of the board...I think if you had a "negative shim"...front or back...it would make you stay more on the back of your board...making you able to be more aggressive and faster on your maneuvers because your weight would be closer to the mast and to the wing and the "response" of your body input will be faster.
      I hope this helps...but really all depends ops how fast you like to go. cheers...PS....soon im making another video about negative shims.

      @@Coach_Rolando Hey
      Thank you very much for your detailed answer
      Exactly I ride without the propeller protection and I also like to ride fast everything always over 30kmh
      Then I think I will also like the flow 900 better
      And as you said, I'm very far forward on the board because of my weight.
      Could you answer one more question? Would a Sport battery make more sense or is that more of a side issue?
      Which battery do you mainly use with your setup?
      I wish you all the best and thank you once again for your time.

    • @Coach_Rolando

      @@matthiashellmann112 For the fact that you told me you mainly rode on flat water, then yes.. the sport or the nano would be better because it will make the board much looser….however off course your runs will be cut shortly accordingly to the battery you are using… on the 800 flyer at 30kph you might doing around 40 to 50 mins and the nano around 30 to 40 mins… would be correct to say that you are doming around 50 to 1.10 mins on explorer now??

    • @matthiashellmann112
      @matthiashellmann112 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Coach_Rolando Exactly, I drive with the explorer battery for 1.10 min at 30kph with 20% remaining capacity
      I will try driving with a negative shim next like you said.
      Thank you very much for your information 👍

    Agree with everything you said about the Ultra... gotta go up on speed to bring it back down after planing. and choppy waters man...an absolute bitch... the other things I struggle with sometimes is when the tip just sinks in just a hair under water and the propeller shuts off...
    what wings do you run on your Ultra? I'm using flow 1100's and was wondering if the wings help with maybe the cruiser helps with getting up on the board more easily.
    if you're ever in San Diego, hit me up! tambem sou brasileiro. Abcs!

    • @Coach_Rolando

      Fala ai Irmao...It does not matter what wing you use it...you just got to get better at getting up on it. Once the board is on foil the board does not matter anymore ... Is actually a very good size board... I even have the "race wing" on it with is the smallest of them all...so the wing is all matter of preference on your riding style...but what I learned in the past days with Kealan (fliteboarod tech guy) is that is better for you to start at gear 4 showing your weight all forward once you get the "kick"...then from there you can wait a little ...throw to 5 and you are up...it takes some skills but you will get the hang of it....like everything else you will get better at it. Hang in there and one day you will look at it and laugh about it. thank you for the invite and same to you if you come to Boston bud...cheers
