Adit Seth the taliban isn't the calphate. They were initially formed to resist Soviet interference in their lands. And then America turned on them, betraying the promise it had given them - to not intervene. Now they use the same weapons and training the United States gave to them to defend themselves from what they percieve to be Western attempts to occupy. If their motives are true, then peace Is the answer. On the other hand, the calpihate has no real grievances. They simply want land and power.

You forgot to mention that American drone strikes at that time killed hundreds and yes it led anti American sentiment and terrorism. Those strikes no longer happen. Also the military of Pakistan has been fighting terrorism and taliban that is why America pays them. They have lost more troops to taliban than all of nato. And the worse part that "aid" pakistan gets from US doesn't even covers 1/4 of the losses the country bares thanks to this failed American war in Afghanistan!

Pakistan was just one of them because, after the Soviets the Taliban TTP became the enemy so the army fought it on Waziristan since interests changed. By that logic isn't it same for US?

If you look at Khan's track record in Khyber Pakhtun( the province khan ruled for 5 years & the province MALALA IS FROM) he has done the most for women's equality not only in Pakistan but in all of South Asia. One of the fundamental pillars for Khan's "New Pakistan" is rigorously pursuing womens equality & education, which is why Malala supports him. More young women were admitted in schools in KP than anywhere else in South Asia. Also, if Khan supported the Taliban shooting Malala why would her province vote him into power again this recent election? She is extremely venerated in that province and you twisted Khan's position on the matter. As of writing this comment Khans been in office for 10 days and he's already depoloticised major institutions and they're already showing signs of being significantly more efficient.

I don't know that what are you pointing out. As a Pakistani,I can say that story is right except accusing military too much. When politicians weren't able to dictate and run the masses,Military got their space to stabilize. But, Mr. Khan's struggle is too much that is not able to cover in literally words.Illiteracy was major issue.Mr.Khan not only mobilised the masses for their rights but teaches them through his speeches in 22 year's struggle.Not only Administrator,But Role Model,A Teacher,Motivator A lot to say....

Pakistan was just one of them because, after the Soviets the Taliban TTP became the enemy so the army fought it on Waziristan since interests changed.

If you look at Khan's track record in Khyber Pakhtun( the province khan ruled for 5 years & the province MALALA IS FROM) he has done the most for women's equality not only in Pakistan but in all of South Asia. One of the fundamental pillars for Khan's "New Pakistan" is rigorously pursuing womens equality & education, which is why Malala supports him. More young women were admitted in schools in KP than anywhere else in South Asia.
Also, if Khan supported the Taliban shooting Malala why would her province vote him into power again this recent election? She is extremely venerated in that province and you twisted Khan's position on the matter.
As of writing this comment Khans been in office for 10 days and he's already depoloticised major institutions and they're already showing signs of being significantly more efficient.
