    I just caught my new pb ten minutes ago using the Tennessee two step!...
    I used the rage bug with the tips high lighted with a chartreuse marker on a swim jig... I’m sitting in my truck still in disbelief lol

    I sure do like a swim jig. I probably have more of them than I do any other type of jig...combined. I have all sorts - black/blue ones, natural ones, white ones; but I think my new favorite is the hot pink/bubblegum one I just recently acquired. It'll burn your eyes out to look at it, but man does it catch fish! I have no idea why, lol.

    Not gonna lie if I had to get rid of every lure I owned and start over id probably just fill up boxes with different jigs in different colors and have a bag of trailers to go with them. Jigs are my absolute favorite lure to use

    I have never had any success with jigs before then I used this when I could not catch anything but dinks. Then I tried this and I ended up catching two 6.5s and a 7 in a few hours. This is defiantly now going to be my go to post spawn/ late summer methods now.

    The Tennessee two step I love two 3lb bass and swimming a kietech one 3.5 lb with the trashmaster god I love this jig got black and blue green pumpkin and watermelon red.

    I’ve been killing them for 2 weeks n the white , but I’m using a small 1/8 oz swim jig chartreuse mister twister on it and also getting slab crappie , twice the fun fishing bfs 8 lb braid, 12 lb leader landed more than a few 5 pound bass this way

    Is that the okuma helios sx reel? I just got 1 like a month ago . Such a smooth and well made reel. I got it on sale for 160 after tax and shipping. I honestly love it. It's so smooth when you are retrieving your lure it almost feel like there isn't anything there like your just spinning the handle without line . Then it's a really good looking real . Has alot of lil features I haven't really seen in any other reels . The free spool is pretty sweet lol

      Yes sir it is. I love the 2 I have. They cast a mile and I use them for some smaller baits now because they cast so dang well.

    turns out the retrieve that caught me 5 fish today has a name. lol I was doing the "tennessee two step" as you call it. I had a strike king swimmer on mine and it worked well

      I'm assuming your fishing a lot of area's with grass? I would agree but if you have wood mixed in you sour for sure add that swimjig into play.

      @@BassGeek mostly grass and rocks. Even in wood I love throwing a bladed jig, but if the bite is slow I’ll throw a swimbait or swim jig. Typically the bite being slow isn’t an issue when I’m throwing a chatter

      Yeah It's really hard to beat a chatter in the grass. Like I said though you get that wood you can get down in it with a swimjig. Use it just to probe that and go back to that chatter in the grass

    What size swim jigs you got there sir? Those look like they would work perfect in some of the grassy ponds I fish.. need something smaller and those looked really nice.

      It just depends on how deep i'm fishing. 1/4,3/8,1/2 are the go to's.

    Heard the Alabama shake is mostly only good for mimicking fish that have an unstable type of swimming like a shad compared to the more stable swimming of fish like bluegill. Can anyone attest to that

      I’ve caught them doing it on bluegill patterns and shad patterns. So I don’t know. I think it’s just a movement that makes the bass react just like shacking a minnow bait.

      Try these, trim your weed guard down were it will just go past the barb when you push it to the hook. Spread the weed guard out side to side Use a smaller trailer.

      Pre spawn I love to fish swimbaits, jerkbaits, senkos, ned rigs and crank baits, As far as swim jigs its gonna be a white shad pattern.
