I didn't know about the drop shadow method! Sweet! I usually duplicate the figure's layer, load a flat gray into the figure selection, set the layer to multiply, then do the ctrl-t and fiddle with position. This knocks a couple steps out of the process.. I love it! I do a lot of comps placing 3D rendered figures into photos. Great stuff as always, Colin!
Very, very useful tutorial. What I really like about your videos is you don't feel the need to constantly talk which for me makes it far easier to follow what you are doing.
It was very helpful. Just started learning. Photoshop is very complex to me. But with clues, it's okay. It's getting a little easier now. But without discipline it becomes difficult. Today I learn something and tomorrow if I don't practice, I will forget it again. Thank you.
Colin, really, really like the accompanying written instructions from your email. Made it so much easier to try the techniques on my own. Bouncing back and forth on a video is a pain. Great thanks to you!!!😁
Seems I’ve been doing my shadows all wrong 😑 so as always thanks Colin great tutorial! Going to look for any other shadow tutorials you may have done too
I'm stuck at adjusting the size of the person once it's in the image. I'm on a windows PC. Using ALT key and scrolled out but i dont see anything to adjust the size.....
Neural filters is just greyed out constantly for me despite having a full license. Literally give up with this software. Every tutorial I try following gives a similar issue. Great tutorial otherwise though..

Dear Sir: Thanks for a great lesson, you made my Day
I really liked the way you created the shadow, it’s a whole lot less laborious than the method I have been using 👍
Absolutely love your tutorials. Clear, concise and easy to follow. Keep up the great work!
I really like the shadow part of the tutorial, which as you say is so effective at making the subject fit in to the background.

Great tutorial Colin. I've not completed the tutorial I bought from you. Getting there slowly. Thank you.
Colin, have you done a video where you integrate a person into a picture between items in the picture. For e.g. standing on a landing with railings.
Great method to solve a frequent problem. Thanks for the video.

shouldn't you also apply a gradient effect so that the dropshadow's opacity fades the further away it is from the subject?

I had no idea you could move the drop shadow that easily
Great video. Only thing you left out was perspective
Thanks
I tried to do this yesterday and i came across this video today, this is SO helpful!! I definitely have to redo my photo and use these techniques!
You made this so much easier than my professor 😂
awesome
I followed it carefully step-by-step but it only superimposes a portion of her body and that portion is quite enlarged.

On my screen the shadow was covered by the subtitles...
You can turn off subtitles

Did you click the cloud icon to download? You have to download Neural filters for them to work
@@photoshopcafe I didn't know this! Will try later; thanks!
I'm using photoshop 2022 and harmonization doesn't work it won't even let open it.
Make sure you are actually launching 2022 and not previous version, Photoshop can have both installed at once.
She's an absolute giant this way, no?
Depends on the lens
Do you wanna make an app?
