Learned to fly at Midway in 1981. I live just off the 31C approach and spend some time each day airplane watching. Really enjoy your videos, please keep them coming.
Yep, that brought back some memories. Thanks. I took my Instrument-Commercial at Midway in 1980. Very interesting making a VFR approach in a Cessna 172 alongside a 737.
You guys flew right over the house I grew up in at 19:05! That open parking lot off the right if you pause it at the timestamp is St. Mary's Star of the Sea church and school and my house was one block south of that.

@@KutWrite It's Midway, they have been doing this for decades. If the spacing does not work out you go around. We don't land on the other aircraft. The fact that he missed taxiway Alpha, in a Challenger, is what screwed everything up here! The tower was counting on him to land and get off the runway like most jet operators that land here, the tower was not expecting him to take the full length of the runway for landing.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Question: Why the need to use the entire runway length vs exiting at twy A? I presume that your landing speed was much higher than usual because of the traffic following close behind.

I’ve flown on Gulfstreams and a Challenger as a mid-level executive for a corporation and it was wonderful. I’m currently living in a 1-bed apartment so not hardly a 1%er but it was very effective for the 10 of us going around the country, giving presentations to the companies employees

Thank you for sharing this flight.😊
Yes, Midway International Airport is small and right in the middle of a nice neighborhood!
My pleasure
You are welcome. Fly safe. ☺

I’ve been flying the challenger in my sim for a while, such a fun plane lol I’m always amazed by its capabilities, also great vid! I love Chicago!
Thanks for taking us along on approach to my hometown, Hebrew in the cockpit, and sitting right seat in a Challenger. What dream realized.
beautiful video as always. keep up the good work, looking forward to see more videos
Thank you so much for the upload.
as always, it's super interesting to watch! 👀🔥

Love the videos man! Keep it up!
Crazy. Southwest cleared to line up and wait before the Challenger was down and Southwest also cleared for takeoff before Challenger vacated.

Those were tight but reasonable calls considering it’s Midway.

Southwest was cleared into position as the Challenger was passing him. What was so crazy about that?
Enjoyed that, guys.
I know your videos focus on approach and landing but it would be nice to see or know where the aircraft is coming from. Good video nevertheless .
