When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought this would be a difficult pattern. Once I got up the nerve to watch, I realized that this was a lot easier than it looked. The yarn is lovely. Cheers!

This project is so much fun and much easier than I thought it would be!! I love your tutorials so much!
I started this last night and I wanted to mention my method in case it made things easier for anyone else.
I'm using a skein of Mandala yarn (troll, in case anyone was wondering), and I crocheted one motif to start with, then frogged the entire thing. I took the length of that yarn and kept it to measure out each length of yarn from the entire skein, and made little bobbins for each flower essentially. So I have an entire skein of yarn cut and rolled in to bobbins of the right size, and I know the measurement of a finished flower so I can figure out how many flowers up and across I want my wrap to be. I laid them all out in the order I liked so the colors look good together, and I took a picture on my phone (plus I might draw up a graph since I don't always have my phone on me), and now I'm just picking up a bobbin of the color I want and making the flowers as I go, looking at the picture so I know how to proceed.
I hope this was helpful to someone! It was a lot more prep work than just starting to crochet, but I think it's much easier than doing a motif and frogging it, and when I'm done with each flower it's already together. Good luck! And thanks, Fiber Spider, for another amazing project!

This also works as a doily using basically the same stitches but the center as a Irish Rose pattern with the chain loops around the rose and join those as you go. Can do that or use any number of pattern

I will have to give this one a try; since I started crocheting about 10 years ago, I would never touch a motif pattern. You are very detailed in showing and explaining the technique of joining the motifs. You are an excellent teacher and I want to say, "Thank You" for sharing. Your tutorials makes all the difference. Timeless Design! I suddenly decided to make this use the Ice Cream cotton blend, using a 5.5 mm hook - it works perfectly. I figured out that some very minor adjustments to the pattern, make this visually neater ... I transition to each subsequent round using either a hdc to join the round or ch1 hdc to join, or ch2 hdc or dc to join-- this puts my next round to begin in the center of the chain space, which avoids those slip stitches up the chain. I also found that I join each chain to the chain space below using a slip stich rather than a sc. ( helps because I am using a heavier yarn than your pattern.) Thankyou SO much for your inspiration to design with a striping/ombre yarn that actually works with a motif !!! I think I will connect the motifs as throw rather than a shawl/scarf. "stay cafffinated !" lol
