You are the Bob Ross of crochet and your videos are always a great experience. Thanks for all the calming vibes!
I just need to say this--thank you for teaching me the art of crochet. Your warm, silly personality and your kindness in filming and instructing crochet-with-me videos made it possible for me to finally become skilled/dedicated enough to complete projects.
Me, too!!
And me too! I used to avoid crochet thinking it was harder than knitting and bulky - but you have taught me so much and I have done more shawls in the last two years and I love wearing them and sharing them with family and friends! I have wanted to do one like this for a long time! Thank You!!!
I crochet two identical pieses and saw together as tunic. Result is great, so elegant and beautiful. Thank you for this pattern ❤
You are the Jedi Master of shawls!!! beautiful, I love it...
You can avoid the slip stichingat the start of a round by making your last loop ch 3 and then DC into the last sc. This leaves you in about the center of the last loop ready to start the next round without slip stiches😍
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
I started making this shawl ( so pretty with rainbow yarn). I decided instead to stretch it out over a hula hoop, to make a giant dream weaver medallion for our screen porch. I just have to wrap the purple color over the hoop to hide the printing on the hoop.
I’ve always wanted to learn the art of crochet and of all the crochet instructors I’ve watched and listened to you
are far and away my favorite. Even while I am all tangled up in my yarn you make me smile. Thank you for your gentle personality, warm conversation and easy to follow instructions. As you say, “Let’s get started, shall we?”
I love that this is sponsored by Lion Brand ❣ Beautiful shawl 🤩 it is now on my to do list 🥰
Wow, Mr. Spider, you have outdone yourself! It's gorgeous and cannot wait to get started. Right now, I'm working on baby blanket for a family friend.
Well, guess I better do some shopping for yarn! It's beautiful! I'm a full blood an I know some of my friends that would love this! I'll be making these for gifts! Thank u fiber spider! 👍🏽
That's what I am doing. Lol love all his patterns they make great Teacher gifts for my son's Teacher's every year.
This is very beautiful but I too would love to have seen arm holes in it. I think you do amazing work.
Debbie Graves D’AHHHH!!!! Armholes would MAKE THIS!!!!!! I hope Fiber Spider sees your comment and considers a second version!
I love you for being slow on directions and being thorough. As there others who go too fast and arent thorough and I end up ripping it out to do something else.
Fiber Spider? I noticed your hand shaking in the begining of the video are you alright, was your sugar low? I do hope that you are alright. You are one of my heros you bring people up when they are down and you are a good humored soul. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am concerned about you and your health. Please take care of yourself specially during these adventurous times!
I noticed the shaking also, but this is the 1st video of his that I've ever watched. I believed that he must have a medical condition causing it. Hope he is well!
I'm thinking this would make a great table topper❤
Arghhhh. I look at table toppers and think that would be a great shawl.😂
Hi my dear Fiber Spider...i'm making your lovely shawl and it's really so fun...thanks so much.. pelade take care....
This has to be one of the most beautiful crochet pieces I've ever seen. I normally don't care for shawls and wraps and such, but I wouldn't mind wearing this.
I encourage all of you to use your stitch markers with this ( or at least I need to ) with all those beautiful chains you are making , it’s easy to loose the beginning of your row !! This is beautiful !!
I agree!
Hi again Spider-Man, I have made many of your shawls and in about 3yrs about 100. I just give them away because I love crocheting. At the moment I’m making the dreamcatcher shawl and am enjoying it. I do suggest that you tell others to use stitch counters or row counters because it’s easy to get lost doing those 9 rows. Not only that, instead of 24 loops I get 26. But thanks 🙏 for your tutorials. You are a great teacher!
Greetings from British Columbia, Canada. Love this shawl. Thank you! Such a wonderful teacher and a soothing voice to crochet by. Hope you are sleeping better. Looking forward to the next video.
I'm Mi'kmaq First Nation and just love this. I made sometging similar a couple of years ago using traditional colours (black, white, red and yellow.) I think yours is a better pattern than what I did. You did an amazing job! I will be doing this version, thank you!
So lovely, you are my favourite crochet teacher I have learnt such a lot from you. Thank you. Greetings from Western Australia x
You are a perfect teacher. Thank you and greetings from Germany
Hi Craig Mr spider the lovely shawl you made , is gorgeous, I had one similar and folded it in half and it looked gorgeous
.I think I'll make another one by for now.
💖💖💖💖 I so love this!!!! All I have left is going from 21 to 40. I'm so very pleased at how it's turning out. Thank you so very much. Have a wonderful weekend.💖💖💖💖
You are so awesome describing how to do things. You never make me feel like a beginner. Thanks for using terms we newbies understand. You are so flipping adorable with your narrative. You are my top go to person to learn new things. Love from Pennsylvania
It is gonna be beautiful
Thankyou Craig. You do seem to pull of looking fabulous in these types o shawl. I find this shape hard to wear, in everyday life so I won't make it as a shawl, but I'll whatch the tutorial, as I may find a nice stitch sequence, I hope that's okay. I do like listening to the tutorials. THANKYOU 😊 💕
Love, love, loved the twirl 😍, and of course the beautiful shawl and this channel! I’m a recent subscriber, but I’ve been a longtime fan of this channel and it’s tutor. It’s a joy to just tune in and listen to him teach and how he speaks even if my hands are busy with something entirely different than the tutorial. Love his subtle humor and how thorough he is in all his tutorials... he doesn’t skip a beat, which is crucial for all levels crochet enthusiasts, especially beginners. Thanks sooo much for sharing your talent, wisdom, and making that extra effort to create a quality video/tutorial!!!
Oh my goodness...that is STUNNING!!❤👏👏👏
You are a wonder! This pattern is a perfect gift for my daughters (who are having babies this summer) and need something light to cover up when they go outside. Definitely a statement maker. As always, your tutorials are the best!!
I have become your number one fan...you have explained your tutorials enough even I can do it and I ty so much 💓
I am making this right now. I am on row 20. I am using LB shawl in a cake because that is what I have. I am using as a centerpiece over my coverlet on my bed. So it is for decor, my coverlet is a warm golden color with fringe. I got it at Target by Opalhouse line. The colors on my dream catcher are green, yellow. Blue, teal, chartreuse. It is coming along nicely. I got a few compliments from people passing through the neighborhood. Stay healthy everyone. Peace be with all of you. Xx
Once again you hit it out of the park gorgeous pattern I want many colors Thank you 🙏🏻 💕🌹 Stay safe
That is beautiful. I've been looking for a circular shawl, thank you
Just stumbled over you! I use this Irish chain in creating Barbie clothes a LOT. Never once thought of using it for myself. After looking through your channel, you now have a new subscriber.
I just made this and put short sleeves in it! I used hobby lobby yarn that is like the expensive scheepjes twirls and it turned out beautiful! Thank you so much for such a lovely tutorial!
I love it I am on round. 23 today might just finish it. Thanks so much now I have to make it in every color. I so happy you made this for us your best fan have a great day. 💃🏃😍🎈
Your work is always gorgeous.
Fibre Spider, how gorgeous and intricate pattern, on your shawl you created!!!
ادھر ایسی اون نہیں ملتی آپ کا انداز بہت اچھا لگا 👌👌👌👌👌👍⚘
I just adore you and enjoy everything that you do . Never stop thanks and say safe . 👍
I will be making this!! It is beautiful and you did a great job teaching us how to crochet it. Thank you.
I am a newbie here. I love your voice is so calming. I was listening and watching and working on a granny square all at the same time as you counted seven chains on row four I chained seven where I was supposed to change to in my granny square LOL! I Guess I can’t crochet and listen at the same time. LOL
He have a lovely calming voice
Gonna make this for my mom. I'm new to crochet, but this seems like a fun, doable project. I'm doing your Manda-leaf one as well, but my mom won't like the yarn I chose for it so I'll have to make her something else and this looks like I can have it done before Xmas. Thanks for your gorgeous patterns and your tutorials! Your videos are easy to follow and your fun commentary makes it quite enjoyable!
I love it and will make too maybe even in cotton for a round table cloth or topper also will add an edging of double crochets in each loop to give it a finished edge thank you for this tutorial
Clever with the treble crochet to finish at the top, nice summer shawl.
This is absolutely beautiful.. Thank you!! it reminds me of a Spirograph design lol
Wow I just started the Poncho yesterday with some different color purples but I'm going to do this one this is beautiful and being indigenous person I been looking for this yes I made your flower as dreamcatcher. Thanks again for your video ZZ.
5am. Nice sight for the soul. Peace. I will post it when I done.
So very pretty for summer. I love your tutorials. I have made a lot of shawls just learning from you. Now the dilemma, I have trouble deciding which to wear! This one is definitely going to get some use I’m sure.
Pretty shawl...cool yarn looks nice to work with
İt's sooo beautiful..but i wish if there's arm hole in it ..please try to do it for us 😁..i'm sooo thankful for you ..have a nice day 🌻
I would love that too!
Lol I was thinking the same thing cuz as much as I love my Pi
shawl it falls off my shoulders if I'm doing anything that requires much arm movement.
Could you maybe use a brooch or pin of some kind?
Could you use some leftover yarn or some thread and have someone pull the back and front together temporarily, under each arm in a couple places while you hold your arms out as he does in the twirl. Then place a few permanent stitches and create a sleeve similar to a bat wing sleeve.
@@evonnecollins9789 Good idea.
Love this! I'm going to make it as a blanket for my daughter's bed.
Wonderful! I have a brown, gold, grey and white ombre that I have been waiting for just the right pattern. Thank you!

It's like you read my mind! I've been going crazy these past few days trying to find the perfect pattern for a summer shall! Last year, my summer shawl of choice was the "wild wheat shawl", made with your tutorial(of course! Your tutorials are, by far, the best!) I cannot wait to make this one! And I've got a lion brand mandala cake with "dreamcatcher shawl" written all over it😋. Thank you so much for always posting such amazing patterns for us, you have been my go-to for making awesome pieces ever since I learned how to crochet! Keep up the awesome work!

Hi. Thanks this is my new project as pi shawl completed since live feed. 😊
I made this as a decorative piece for my bed, it turned out so nice, has great drape to it.
My yarn label called for a H hook, I used a M/9.oo mm hook with a chain 3 instead of a chain 7.
Beautiful piece, than you.
If I could send a picture or knew how I would.
I am a newbie here. I love your voice is so calming. I was listening and watching and working on a granny square all at the same time as you counted seven chains on row four I chained seven where I was supposed to chain two in my granny square LOL! I

You always surprise me! I’ll try it with Shawl in a ball since I have many of them. You really rock!

Its beautiful and you have inspired me. I used this to make a dream catcher for the first time. Not sure if I can post here but let me know if you would like to see it.
Hi Craig, you are always so creative in your projects. However I can not see anyone in my family wanting to wear a dreamcatcher. I do think I might make a smaller version to hang in my Grandson's room .. as a dream catcher💕
