I love how someone went through the trouble to make a RUclips account to post this one comment. Also, @Steven Who has 1.5 mill subs? Sonny Jim doesn't. He's got four.
onearmedbandit84 Yeah! For some reason I actually liked this, it's almost weird! It honestly had very little going for it, but I say the Sonny Jim puts it well when he says it was the Modern Warfare of it's time! It was crap mind you, but still it....I think it filled that place that today's Modern Shooters were suppose to occupy!
I loved CSCZ because it let me play against bots when my internet was out or when I'm a lonely loser and have no one to play it with good review as always man
I like bots simply because sometimes I want to try something, whether it's a new build or weapon and bots let me do so without someone getting mad at me for bringing the team down.
For some time in the 2000s, I didn't have internet in my apartment(s), and I played a game called Tactical Ops: Assault on Terror during those days. It was basically a CS clone on using the Unreal engine, and it came with bots for offline play and music that played during missions.
Holy shit at that Steam charts reveal at the end! Absolutely insane to think more people are playing Condition Zero than Randy Pitchford's and Cliffy B's multiplayer extravaganzas!
Deleted Scenes is rightfully dead, but some of the CS1.6 community (which happens to still be active) stuck with CZ as time went on. It looks a bit better and lacks some of the dumb decisions made with Source and GO.
That moment when you have more fun playing a barely cohesive CS campaign over this year's lot of AAA FPS games. No loot boxes, no microtransactions, no season pass, and an actual great multiplayer. 2017...
Deleted Scenes and Soldier of Fortune I do find enjoyable as "of their time" kind of games, even if DS was several years after its time. It's a nice feeling blasting through something so archaic.
I remember playing this game extensively when I was around 12 and on a family vacation in Italy with no internet... Now that I think of it, I really should have gone out into the sun more instead of playing a game I could have played at home...
No mention for Gearbox Software which made the basis of Condition Zero before the project was passed to Ritual Entertainment which scrapped the project and made the nonsense known as Deleted Scenes. When Ritual's work was released as Condition Zero and panned by critics, Valve retracted the game and tasked Turtle Rock Studios which completed the work that Gearbox has already started. Ritual's work is released as Deleted Scenes as a free add-on to Condition Zero later on. Funny thing is Turtle Rock is the 4th studio which worked on Condition Zero; it was Rogue Entertainment which initially started the project but unable to continue due to producer Jim Molinet's departure to Sony.
It always cracks me up that the M4 animation is really off in classic CS and CSS. He's pulling the forward assist back, not the charging handle. Also said Forward assist is supposed to be on the other side, but hey, gun porn. Give credit where credit is due, CZ did that well.
That's interesting, and that explains why CS classic shipped with all weapons in the left hand. However, the whole deal of pulling the forward assist is still wrong. The charging handle on the M4 is symetrical anyway, so...
Reminds me of how the M16 in Left 4 Dead is modeled after the M16A2 even though the real gun could only be fired in three-round bursts rather than full-automatic like in the game.
Source is fondly remembered because of Nostalgia, it’s a sorely unoptimized piece of trash now compared to today’s Cs go. And this is coming from somebody who grew up with all the Cs games since it was a mod for half life.
Not going to lie, I loved this game when it first came out. It was the first "gun" game my parents let me buy and I was young so I wasn't good enough to play online. I played against bots all the time and I played Deleted Scenes probably 20 times over and over again. I just had so much fun with it haha.
Got CZ and Deleted Scenes for free with the purchase of 1.6, do you want a reason to play the campaign? Play it for the hilarity! To give you an example; I remember a level where you take control of a Spetsnaz soldier stopping WW3 in a Siberian bunker, the climax of the level is a "boss battle" with a military jet that you have to take down with a AWP on top of a tower... And they take everything waaaaay to serious xD And that is just one example, the game is full of stuff like this. Like Gggmanlives said its a clunky proto-modern warfare.
RomanImperialXII Well, actually the "boss" of bunker level in Russia was the MI-24 Hind helicopter that had to be destroyed with machine gun in riding truck, while the jet was found in another level on the hijacked ship. Not wanna be annoying, just correcting you :) Also I agree with you: the way how this game is both trying to be serious but at the same time does some funny shit around is hilarious. This is one of the reasons why I like this game =D
I dont think that's true but I guess fair enough. I can see why you consider it to be predecessor. Nobody around me has played Delta Force. Which is sad because I loved it and it is what started PC gaming for me. Haha
I'll be honest with you, I spent my entire childhood playing offline against bots... I do mean my entire childhood... Everyday from school id just come home and play this... I think I spent 7 years in the this game before I even started playing counter strike source... I still have my original condition zero disk ... I still play it to this day...this game... Is basically my childhood
Me personally, I thought it was alright. A bot mode and a "cut" campaign mode a la Deleted Scenes, that's pretty neat for a game that started out as and has always been a multiplayer-focused game.
This game is perfect for if you're lonely on the weekend. No matter how barebones the single player is, it is pretty fun to play and has a lot of replay value
condition zero will always hold a special place in my heart, it made honest leaps and bounds for multiplayer bot ai, such as the auto-nav generation. the bots werent too bad to play against not to mention.
I think CS on the original Xbox is also condition zero. yeah Condition Zero started out as normal counter strike for Xbox, but they wanted to up the scope and made condition zero which was just counter-strike on Xbox and got brought over to PC as condition Zero, the Xbox version was supposed to have the campaign.
I know requests seem a bit stupid. But, if you get around to it, look at the Delta Force series. This was the "Counter Strike" you could say of my childhood.
I'll never forgive Valve for shutting down Ritual entertainment, not only we never got the other 8 episodes of SiN that we were promised, but we also never got a proper conclusion to the Legacy of Kain series...
Believe it or not, Legacy of Kain: Dark Prophecy was being developed by ritual entertainment, at that point Crystal Dynamics couldn't do the game because they were working on other stuff, including the new Tomb Raider trilogy, so they handed the game to them... But then the studio started working on SiN: Episodes and then they got shut down, then the writer lost interest in the series and moved on to writing the Uncharted first Trilogy and the rest is history... Ritual was working on the sequel to Defiance, a possible new chapter for the last trilogy of the series, but then all of that happened, and I'm still mad about it...
ritual were bought out by another company at no point in time were they ever owned by valve you didn't get the other episodes of sin because no one bought sin episodes
Im in a game dev program at my college and I figured itd be interesting to note that a few of my professors worked on Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. After sillicon knights shut down a lot of the people working there became professors. The series left their hands after that game, but i thought itd be neat to mention.
Can't believe this game a one year before I was born, both Sonic Adventure 2 and CS:CZ were my childhood. And yeah, I liked Deleted Scenes despiste the AI mostly standing in one place and shooting, also for the suicide bombers and the dudes wealding the machetes, I thought they were really funny due to the way they run at the player. By the way this is totally what MW's font was inspired but on the Gold Source.
I really love this game lol. People usually prefer 1.6 but in Brazil both games were soo big in lanhouses and internet cafés, we played both equally as much. It usually boiled down to which server you wanted, and CZ still has some amazing servers that have survived for years.
Also I actually have been thinking of getting this over the past few months - it being on the old CS engine, that can run on my work comp here, and allowing bots is actually something that appeals to me. The bots in 1.6 are ok but you have to spawn them in 1 by 1 and you can tell they're not programed too well. I am waiting for a sale though for CS CZ.
Ah, good times, before hats, loot boxes and other cancerous shite. When my science teacher made a hat reference in class, i knew that we were to die alone.
sowwy why not? I'm old enough to be a teacher and was 16 when the orange box came out. You don't have to stop liking games or understand the Internet once you reach 25, heh.
Tbh csgo was going pretty good for a while. Even with the skins it was okay, but it kinda fell apart for me when they decided to add a battle royale mode and a needlessly complicated user interface.
Ahh yes. The misunderstood version of 1.6. I fondly remember playing this (mostly against bots, fuck Deleted Scenes) in 2005 (cause I couldn't run Source). Shit compared to anything else but by itself it was kinda ok. Don't hate me, I didn't know any better. I played the UT 2003 demo for YEARS on my shitty Win 98 brick back in the day. Also I miss being able to choose your CT and T models and spray gifs everywhere.
Fav CS game will always be CS:CZ. I've a few 100hrs into this game & by far my 3rd favorite game of all time. I understand & accept what Gggman says & maybe some of that made this game unique & special. Still remember memorizing the offline campaign bot names: Rebel, Fiend, Vandal, Razor, Bandit ..... all the way to top tier Spider, Snake, Wolfhound, Jackal. And then there was Maverick.
Sure the AI and combat in this game wasn't very good but it was one of the best and the only counter-strike game with single-player missions back in the day.
I also playing Counter Strike condition Zero From last 8 Years I also Completed my 12000 Hours & this game is getting more fun When u play Online Multiplayer...I am from India. in India there are multiple Private Server for this game...Love to play Both 1.6 & Condition Zero....
The original Counter Strike days were phenomenal. Really felt like a movement with my friends when we would practice at home with bots (back when 56.6 kps was normal haha) then meet up on the weekends at LAN cafe's to blast each other up. Sadly LAN cafe's died as internet started to get better and living rooms have become the new battlegrounds. Counter Strike really felt like a league of its own where those with those with skill were revered and meeting up for gaming was becoming a social event. Not much has come close to the feeling of headshoting your opponent whose either sitting next to or near you and screaming out in glee while everyone in the room is just sitting there in a mix of quiet admiration and competitive angst.
I only watch your videos because it makes me laugh so hard when you say "shit".It's goddamn hillarious. Also "prick" is damn hillarious too.Maybe do a shit compilation?Would love to see one
A game that's actually fun even with only bots back in the older days. I already met a lot of unmentionable bugs but most of them aren't really that hurtful for the game itself.
I've only played Deleted Scenes for 10 minutes.. Back in 2009. I've played CZ for 351 hours, mainly in 2009-2010. Those good old times with GunGame servers and Team Deathmatch games.
i still hold a special place for condition zero cuz i played it as a kid and i had a lot of fun, and youre right in that its like modern warfare before modern warfare
Gave the video a thumbs up because your reviews are awesome. I liked Deleted Scenes for what they were, I thought that it had cool environments, sounds, and plot ideas, it was pretty fun and if I remember correctly not very glitchy. It might just be nostalgia but I really loved this game. The death animations were dope too.
Turtle Rock Studios would then go on and make Left 4 Dead, one of the best CO-OP shooters of all time in my opinion (mostly L4D2 but the 1st one is still fun). and then TRS later made Evolve and we all know what happened to that pile of mess
I'm a single player guy myself , but Sonny Jim, review this game Day of Infamy if you could. I'm addicted to it. The Moh AA, COd 1,2 nostalgia on that is strong. Great game even with nostalgia set aside.
PC gaming is where to play games at their peak, with a good enough graphics card, of course. Get ready to clear some disk space, because 2017 is full of incredible games. Wacth Now: The 15 best PC games of 2017 ruclips.net/video/CS_fuVIrcKU/видео.html
It was my first CS game, I still replay the Deleted Scenes every year or so just for kicks haha When I activated the CD Key for it on Steam it also gave me CS 1.6 which is what I poured many hours into for online play during school holidays, my favorite server was the Australian Assault 24/7 server which had heaps of awesome custom Assault maps and the ability to parachute by holding space which made you T Pose all the way to the ground 😂
Why does he keep referring to me in all of his videos?
coz u're famous maj frend
HOLY SHIT FAN 1.5 MILL SUBS AND NO VIDS JESUS CHRIST
i love you forthis comment
I love how someone went through the trouble to make a RUclips account to post this one comment.
Also, @Steven Who has 1.5 mill subs? Sonny Jim doesn't. He's got four.
^ **From the guy who's posing as Bunta Fujiwara** ^
I do wish we had more things like Deleted Scenes. It's very rare for a failed high-tier game/build to be released officially.
im pretty damn sure that youtubers met each other in real life....
And the fact that its actually a good half-life total conversion! Gold source is a pretty engine with modern scripted events!
Do a video on the cs series plz :)
The Deleted Scenes are kind of a guilty pleasure for me.
Mine too, the campaign wasnt bad at all
onearmedbandit84
Yeah! For some reason I actually liked this, it's almost weird! It honestly had very little going for it, but I say the Sonny Jim puts it well when he says it was the Modern Warfare of it's time! Same for me: it was my playground for all the weapon skins downloaded from FPSBanana! :-D
It's fucking brilliant!
It's crappy, but hilariously so.
I found this game in a charity shop about a month after launch.
Such a shame.
Larry Bundy Jr What did you think of it back then tho????
At the internet cafe that I used to go back in the day the game was considered to be garbage.
its a bag o shite tho
Charity shop being equivalent to a thrift store in the states?
17joren yeah
I loved CSCZ because it let me play against bots when my internet was out or when I'm a lonely loser and have no one to play it with
good review as always man
That’s what this game was for basically. Parents would ground me and take internet away, jokes on them I still have condition zero
I know dat feel. Here, let's hug \(OwO)/
Medal of honor rising sun got this right, play with upwards to 7 bots with different weapons, stages, and various settings.
Holy shit at that Steam charts reveal at the end! Absolutely insane to think more people are playing Condition Zero than Randy Pitchford's and Cliffy B's multiplayer extravaganzas!

CSCZ was great. I'll never forget the iconic laugh in deleted scenes. (maybe we can throw icicles at an intruder. HOH HOH HOH HOH.)
LOL
that man was a true comedian
That actually made me laugh when I was sitting in that vent and heard it
😂
those terrorists are the worst in very way

That moment when you have more fun playing a barely cohesive CS campaign over this year's lot of AAA FPS games. No loot boxes, no microtransactions, no season pass, and an actual great multiplayer. 2017...
All around me are familiar faces.....
And now 5 years later it got even worse. I am super thankful for still being able to play all these old games...and for indie devs.
Dumb comment
Deleted Scenes was awesome though!, can't forget that golden laugh to "HO-HO-HOHO!"
Deleted Scenes and Soldier of Fortune I do find enjoyable as "of their time" kind of games, even if DS was several years after its time. It's a nice feeling blasting through something so archaic.

After practicing to drive and becoming scared so badly, I'm glad this uploaded to cheer me up! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hope next time goes better!!

Same thing with CS:CZ. It's only with the draw animation that the charging handle is involved.
9:15 You see the soldier using the charging handle while manually realoading.
Reminds me of how the M16 in Left 4 Dead is modeled after the M16A2 even though the real gun could only be fired in three-round bursts rather than full-automatic like in the game.
Classic Valve gun syndrome.
I miss the Counter Strike Source days. Global Offensive just doesn’t feel the same. (Despite my 4500+ hours in it)
sowwy I feel you ;-;
Same, but with CS1.6, source ones were always more slow pacing compared to 1.6
Totally Radical Dude there are no good PUG servers, all I want is to play actual competitive source but it doesn’t exist anymore
Source is fondly remembered because of Nostalgia, it’s a sorely unoptimized piece of trash now compared to today’s Cs go. And this is coming from somebody who grew up with all the Cs games since it was a mod for half life.
CS:GO is call of counterstrike. CSS is still far superior
Not going to lie, I loved this game when it first came out. It was the first "gun" game my parents let me buy and I was young so I wasn't good enough to play online. So much nostalgia with this game. Being in 7th grade playing the campaign while stoned
counter strike is so simple yet the call outs and the gameplay make such a good game
condition zero was the first counter strike i ever played. holds a special place in my heart
cscz: deleted scenes needs a Brutal / Gore mode that allows you to dual wield M60s and grenade launchers

If you buy condition zero you get deleted scenes which is pretty much a campaign
The single player footage looks so fun
The old bots had so much personality. The new ones in CS:GO is so... Dull.

I only watch your videos because it makes me laugh so hard when you say "shit".It's goddamn hillarious. Also "prick" is damn hillarious too.Maybe do a shit compilation?Would love to see one
Love the old school reviews.
Can you even play 1.6 online with this version?
As bad as it is, I actually liked the Deleted Scenes. There were some missions I hated and others I loved, but that's what made it so enjoyable.
The old Counter Strke still continue to be very popular, I have seen the game in many Cyber Cafes to this day.
Awesome, cool to see a Counter Strike game reviewed.
I still remeber the day I when to "an infamous gamestore" along with my bestfriend to buy CSCZ: the same day he bought SOCOM 2 for the PS2
Turtle Rock Studios would then go on and make Left 4 Dead, one of the best CO-OP shooters of all time in my opinion (mostly L4D2 but the 1st one is still fun).
and then TRS later made Evolve and we all know what happened to that pile of mess
he said this in the video dummy
i dont know if im playing with bots or what but i can always find games with lots of people
I could see the enemies were not bots in player avatars but rather common NPCs, like the barneys and human grunts of Half-Life
LEFT 4 DEAD 2 review When
Best CS version of the game, spent so many hours playing this.
Also it was my very first pc game I ever bought.
Deleted scenes is freakn good
Just out of curiosity what is a "Sonny Jim"
JIG2000 It really shouldn't be that hard to tell.
JIG2000 what he calls his fans.
His father used to call him that. Now he calls his viewers that.
I'm a single player guy myself , but Sonny Jim, review this game Day of Infamy if you could. I'm addicted to it. The Moh AA, COd 1,2 nostalgia on that is strong. Great game even with nostalgia set aside.
This game was my childhood. How dare you. But you're right, nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
I've gotten back into CSGO lately after not playing CS since 2001 or so. It's still very addictive I must say.
Condition Zero and 1.6 was and still is the best
Man I miss CS 1.4-1.6. So long teenage years.
It also had the problem of it crashing on the 2nd level
PC gaming is where to play games at their peak, with a good enough graphics card, of course. Get ready to clear some disk space, because 2017 is full of incredible games.

i was still on dial up when condition zero came out so playing on 0 ping from 230 was an experience
