So, crouching with the left trigger is actually not as stupid as it looks. CS:GO also had this in it's default controller profile. In a game where crouching can help you gain accuracy and it being something you need to do often, putting it here is actually a reasonable proposition. It's different, sure, but it works surprisingly well in practice. Putting "scoping-in" on B though... I have no defense for that.
I respect the commitment to making this and sourcing out actual hardware for this rather than just straight emulation. And that site is false advertisement.
@damsen978 I wasn't really being serious, but even then, I think you missed my point. Even if 1.6 is "just counter strike" and being the original "1", that's still quite the glow-up from CS1 to CS2.
@damsen978 1.6 is really not very different from this console port. it's still probably the biggest jump between the first iteration of a game and the "second"
I remember playing this game on my Xbox classic. I miss those times when after primary school I just sunk into cs and just forget about everything around me. I miss that feeling
Weapon wheel and the 180 quick turn I thought were great additions the console version added. I had a lot of fun with this back in the day. Always remember how everyone camped and sniped outside on the Miami map lol. Pretty much no auto aim too. Lots of strafing to line up shots.

wow cool, anyways, the Cuban missile crisis came close to producing the most horrifying war of all-“the final failure,” in President Kennedy’s words. How and why the United States and the Soviet Union nudged each other to the edge of the nuclear abyss, and how they avoided a suicidal plunge, is the paramount story of our age. In lives gambled and saved, it was history’s luckiest nonevent. It was “insane,” Kennedy remarked, “that two men, sitting on the opposite sides of the world, should be able to decide to bring an end to civilization.” But these many years later that “insane” possibility still exists and governs the way nuclear weapons states function. A new history of the decisions that led to the Cuban missile crisis, and a close analysis of the decisions that produced its peaceful resolution, thus remain compelling and relevant. Although generally understood as a confrontation between the Soviet Union, the United States, and Cuba, the missile crisis was in fact far broader in its origins, scope, and consequences than its Russian name (the “Caribbean Crisis”), its Cuban name (the “October Crisis”), or its American name suggests. It was a global event-an integral part of the wider Cold War, and a consequence of the nuclear arms race that began with the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. That savage beginning of the nuclear age gave rise to new concepts of diplomacy, security, and war. But decisions about how the atomic weapon would be integrated into international relations fell to the leaders of the U.S. and Soviet governments. Stalin had no doubt that the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were meant to signal just that. America intended to use its atomic monopoly to intimidate him, and he wasted no time getting his own atomic bomb. Regardless of the myriad other forces that would shape the Soviet-American relationship-economics, ideology, geography, national ambitions, alliances-it was clear from August 6, 1945, that nuclear weapons would command a central role.
I started playing cs on the orange box, on the ps3. Its how i feel in love with tactical games. But it was always so amusing as a kid for pistol rounds to just be a clusterfuck of people who cant shoot eachother.

What a trip down memory lane. I used to play this every day. It was my gateway into CS. I loved the Xbox exclusive map Miami, even if it was a cluster f of a map. Believe it or not this game was actually pretty active for OG Xbox standards. Ended up making several friends through this game that I would play with for 10+ years.
This was my first taste of counter strike. I Was 5 years old gaming on my dad's Xbox lol. Brings back memories. I even went as an Xbox to my kindergarten Halloween party lol
I have rented the Xbox version of Counter Strike from Family Video back in the early 2000s. It was great. Global Offensive originally released on Xbox 360 arcade too remember that
I got this game randomly from my mom. It wasn’t my birthday, it wasn’t Christmas. Which is unusual cause that’s the time I’d usually get a game. But it came with this really weird controller and another game fusion frenzy. It was in a plastic blister pack with both games and huge 3rd party controller. I had fun with it for what it was.
its bascially CS:CZ but they madae a console port! i never knew this existed. the hostage being school girls is because of the campaign. in the campaign you have stages in (i guess) japan which is attacked by terrorists and you can rescue japanese civs and some of them were schoolgirls

4:50 ish the crouch button is probably left trigger to make crouch jumping easier on console. it was like that or super similar for the console half-life port because that game required you to be able to crouch jump in multiple areas.
