You stand on fountain and blast at it. Gives a wide enough window that your AWPer can flick to anyone coming from CT if they're good enough. I've been on the AWP side of this and it's super effective.
XM is probably a bit stronger than in CSGO. With the tick thing in CS2, it could be that it's now more likely to hit further away if someone is moving sideways for instance.

I feel like the XM has a similar case to the scoped rifles. People claimed it sucked then everyone in valorant complained about the auto in that game leading to people using it in CS2 and learning that it's actually usable.
For me it's just so fun to play auto-shotty in CS2, it just feels satisfying compared to in CSGO. I love holding short A on Dust 2 in casual mode. I don't know how to explain why it is better than before but they just coded it differently, and it feels good for some reason.
As someone who doesn't play the game but watches a lot of videos on it. Anytime I see a non-rifle primary being used makes me happy. I don't care if it's supposedly too powerful or cheesy. Probably makes me like it more actually
If 2 or more XMs stick together it becomes unstoppable. The XM was not buffed by stats, but buffed by game itself, which is more forgiving on moving and shooting.
Love the video you forgot one thing though. They always buy a decoy as well because when they set off the decoy and start firing shot gun it screws with the sound and it can distort where the blasts are coming from. I had a 15k pull this trick on me on Inferno at 🍌 😂.
I have about 2 years since i committed to xm only. The reason why i did it is because of the xm tranquility - best skin in the game. I paid 80$ and got myself a low float FN , ST cutie, spent another good amount on buying naked girl stickers and now, my XM is a masterpiece. Currently sitting at 17k kills. I actually got banned for griefing from the enemy because i only play this. The secret to play XM is very simple. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE 2K NEXT ROUND!!!! In other words, on first round, always keep 100$ - and for the rest rounds, always keep an eye on the next round loss reward and make sure you always get 2k
I buy the XM1014 shotgun in practically every round on vertigo, mirage and Dust 2. I get more kills with it and clutches than any other gun. And i enjoy every minute of it
back in 2014-2017 when the matchmaking ranking system actually worked you could use xm only in gold nova matches and top frag constantly, now 90% of people in silver or "unranked" play like LEMs used to have fun with the nova and negev before the price reduction but now that almost everyone has the aim of gods cant have fun anymore
I am abusing the auto-shotty for years now. In CS:GO was a hidden gem. I have tilted high-elo players with it. The range is absurd and in-fact as Nut said: it has the longest range of all shotguns. So yeah - in my humble opinion since I use it religiously - it's a bit OP.
