This looks like a deceptively smart boss. Those Spheres are specifically targeting Spyro based on his current speed, and supposedly the PROBABILITY of him changing direction, which means everytime one fires off you better run immediately in another direction...

I gotta say, having Ripto’s final line from the cutscene at the start of the boss fight was a great choice. Makes him sound menacing. 😎
This is pain in the arse to do. Video looks easy but as soon as i try to do it. I die all the time and realised i have to try get the chicken before he does and he likes to take my weapons off me
It’s incredibly difficult. My best advice, don’t sprint at all unless he’s trying to crush you, you have much better control with the canter. Just keep the camera looking up, stay far back and as he shoots those balls, zig zag towards him just focusing on them. Took me about 15 attempts but finally did it. Irritating to say the least.

My problem is the damn camera making the left stick make me run right when I press left.
I have that fate too I just feel is it the way I'm dominating against him or is it the camera of passive and active mode not moving well
Boy they really didn't keep this true to the original at all. So BS how the CPU can calculate your path and hit you even after the shots have hit the ground

a small tip!! sprint around the outer edges, and when he shoots at you run inwards towards him so they'll miss!
You were lucky by facing the second boss of Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage: Gulp, @Crystalblazier. And I have to say, Gulp is a hardest boss fight that you can ever beat, you know I mean?
But like I said, you were lucky to faced Gulp without rage, @Crystalblazier.
This guy was a pain for me.
GeneralBarricade dude , I’ve been in all the realms in autumn plains and can’t unlock that last door in the castle or get to gulp!? How do I do it !!!!?!? It won’t even teach me how to headbash or else I’d beat the rest of the two realms n get the rest of the talismans

Don't sprint just walk normally if you want to get the trophy where you don't get hit wait till after getting the superflame and also same with the ox trophy as well. This does work I have done it and got the platinum for this game. Find all gems and orbs to get superflame in dragons shores

This boss was very hard to best I did best him before and the Ripton boss fight were harder I died 7 times on the 8th try I besting him
Gulp Is like a bull
I don't get it, everybody says Gulp is very hard, yet he didn't even hit you once? Is there anything special to your tactics? I've done this battle a lot of times and ALWAYS get hit and sometimes even die!
Walk to sides when he shoot 2, eat chicken for healt, and spin around when he shoot 4. That's how you survive.

He runs away when Gulp charges, narrowing the chance of being run over. When he jumps he immediately changes direction.
The energy balls dire in a criss-cross direction, but that pattern seems to be "where you're heading, where you're heafing, where you're heading, and the 4th seems to always aim for you almost directly. Dodge them the moment they're fired and jump at the 4th one before continuing.
Remember, Gulp DOES NOT stop charging until he leaps at you, and turning around to see him might make you run into him. Your only que is to either time it and wait to hear him jump before dodging. Make sure it's ALWAYS at a 90 degree angle.

Also, charge under him when he tries to body slam you. DON'T run away, cos it makes you an easier target, as I'm sure a lot of players (myself included) have found.
And then they want you to “perfect”....🤬
This boss sucks
This guy is ruining all the fun I so far had. I try to avoid his yellow balls but I always get hit at least once and for some reason when I run through the chicks or fire at them I don't get any lives added. I'm fucking done with this guy. The game was crazy easy so far and now this? Sigh.
