Gulp and Ripto are easily the best bosses in the trilogy.
Gulp was challenging and focused, while Ripto's was pure satisfying fun.
The fight with ripto had the most buildup and the best delivery.
the original fight with Ripto was insanely hard. this looked way too easy
Yeah, I don't know what were they thinking when designing bosses in third game. Sorceress is miserable in comparison to Ripto. Even more so in Reignited trilogy where they butchered all main bosses in the Year of the Dragonm:/

I agree, that's why Spyro 2 is my favorite but I like Buzz too, he feels scary and intimidating
I like how Ripto mourns Crush and then a split second later insults the recently deceased
Spyro 1 bosses are not bad, they are just not really bosses, more like regular levels with a unique feature in the end. Spyro 1 was an extremely chill and relaxing game, the regular bosses wouldn't really fit.
Except for Gnasty being a mega chicken and killing the mood with his barrage of dirty tricks plucked straight from the bag of bad early 3D game ideas, from a marathon of chase sequences that all have to be done in one run with no checkpoints to ridiculous surprise instant deaths that force you to do everything from the very beginning unlike every other boss level in the game.

Spyro one I haven't completed it, it's hard because I'm extremely trash at games I've completed 2 and 3 and damn they where easy
@@aminabegum7259 that's strange. Spyro 2 and 3 are not hard, but they have some tricky side challenges. And I can't really remember any hard moments from Spyro 1 except for the couple of Beast Makers levels
I have to say this trilogy brought Spyro back to his former glory. I am so tempted to buy it now.

It makes sense now with Gnasty Gnorc. He just want to have quiet life without any insults. That’s why he didn’t bother encountering Spyro. It makes me feel bad when he was called ugly. That dragon got what he deserved. Though I can’t say the same for others unless they felt the same.
Well, he did try to take over the Dragon Lands by stealing the treasure that rightfully belonged to the dragons and turning those gems into soldiers for his army, hence why he was banished in the first place.

Exactly, I love how in the original you could tell he was kind of a bad guy by his tone, but in this version, he sounds genuinely insulted, like dude's just chillin' on his sofa.

Please note that Gnasty and Ripto survived there battles in the epilogue of the 3rd game, the only characters that died were The sorceress’s monsters, Ripto, Gulp, and Crush and Gnasty’s top minions. In all of the games of the trilogy.
Ripto and Co. all survived their boss fights. The epilogues in the original trilogy show it.

Thank goodness they nerfed Spike, I was not expecting them to buff Gulp though.
They literally just used the easy mode Spike. Here's a funny story, when I was fighting Spike in the original game, he literally stopped in place.

The Spyro 1 bosses were always stupid easy, but the others, especially Gulp, was much harder than I remember.
Granted I've only done Buzz's Dungeon so far, and he was much, much easier.
Especially Bluto (seems slower, like he hardly chased Spyro) and Buzz (seems out of aim when "chasing" Spyro).
Neither Bianca or the Sorceress didn't their Rhynoc henchmen names.
Kind of bummed they kept the first game's bosses the exact way they were in the original game, where they barely even qualified as bosses and went down with barely a challenge. At least they could have made Gnasty Gnorc put up a bit of a fight and take more hits to defeat.
Gulp was so hard to beat made me rage alot
I hope these Spyro Bosses like Buzz, Gulp, Crush, Spike, Scorch, Toasty, Dr. Shemp, Blowhard, Metalhead, and Jacques add in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled rosters.

The Sorceress cleary is shown to be verbally abusive to Bianca and for god knows how long Bianca has put up with the old bitch's insults and other hateful words so it's probably had a long lasting negative effect on the poor girl.

Boss walkthrough:
Toasty:
This guy is really simple. But the minions you have to look out for are the dogs as they will pounce right on you and they almost never miss! Flame them then back away quickly as they will land right on that spot. Then flame them again to finish them. I never got attack from this guy so idk how he attacks. Anyways flame the boss to get a gem. Do this two more times in two other areas but beware that the two other areas has more dogs then the previous ones.
Dr shemp:
This guys a moron as he doesn't have armor on his back so that's his weak spot. He has different patterns for the 3 platforms.
His 1st one is where he will charge at you. So flame him when hes going that way
2nd stage: he will spin then hit you. But while hes spinning, his back is shown for a brief time. So you know what to do right?
3rd stage: he will spin again but now his staff on the ground. So flame him when his back is visible.
Blowhard: again idk how he attacks but flame him to drop a gem.
Metalhead: this guy has two stages not 3. Anyways he will attack you by tossing the enemies at you and zapping you and spraying these circles on you. But used these to your advantage to take out the electric poles around the boss as they contain stored energy for the boss. 2nd stage is the same but its bigger and more poles to hit.
Jacques: its a jack in the box. His attacks is throwing presents at you. He will keep moving until hes on top of those white platforms. Thats when you can flame him. Do this 2 more times to kill him. He doesn't change up anything.
Buzz:
This guy is pretty simple
He has 7 bars of health. His attacks are:
When the platforms are blue, he will shoot waves at you. He shoots 2 at first. When its orange, he will shoot fire balls. These are 2 too.
After his health is nearly depleted, he will rage and increase the speed and the amount to 3. Hes alot faster now. So becareful. Oh yeah to damage him, you have to go in when he moves between platforms to flame or charge him.
Bombo the flagkeeper: use the fire balls super power up to flame him at the closet flag up top. He will come down and challenge you to get him over to the castle. Be warned as he will throw fire balls at you for revenge. If you get hit once, you have to restart from the time you flamed him unless you withdraw.
Love this game
At least it's cool that it put all 3 games together.

Bosses like Gulp, Spike and The Sorceress have become lot easier in my option
The sorceress was the easiest boss in her game, at least for me

Ripto battle > Sorceress battle > Ghasty Gnorc battle.
Not ripping into the original spyro saying it sucked. Its still an extremely important game to everyone who grew up with it, including me. Its especially important to Insomniac games. I just think the final Ripto battle was more better structured, epic, and entertaining. A good improvement from how Spyro 1 handled it. Riptos rage has its fair share of issues but its a still a really damn good game if you get past its faults, and in my opinion one of the greatest sequels to a video game ever created. At least its FAR better than what would come after the 3rd game.....

It's just an abstraction. In the "real" Spyro World, the sealed dragons were just released wherever Spyro could find them.

I remember beating ripto’s 1st phase for the 1st time back in the day. I got cocky and didn’t know about phase 2. I got destroyed. Then when I got through phase 2 I couldn’t take anymore hits. I didn’t expect a phase 3. I died on phase 3. The third time was a charm.

What I want to know is, why couldn't they have made Bentley a bunyip? Since bunyips are Australian mythological creatures, it would make more sense for one to speak with an Australian accent than, well, a yeti.

Yknow for some reason the scorch fight from Spyro 3 really stuck with me and for the longest time i didnt even know if it actually existed, but turns out it was just the 3rd Spyro game and not the second. I don't know why but seeing that boss fight really brings some childhood closure back lol
