    The brilliance of the community in coming up with a way out of the box idea for hair like this is awesome. Looks like the XL did a great job with it

    I was thinking the size didn't look all that much bigger right up till when you stood them side by side and then the original one looked so tiny lol!

    Thank you for all the great content on the Prusa XL. There isn't much out there so its very refreshing to see constant and updated info about it to keep up with the current 3d info.

    If you right-click on the Arrange button there's an Enable Rotations checkbox. If it is enabled the Hairy Lion will automatically rotate to fit on the printbed when you Add it.

    You're a patient girl lol, 800g is a super big print! Well done on taking the chance,(I don't think I would've have been so brave) he came out awesome! 👍. I use prucer slicer as my daily driver/slicer and I've been getting those damn warning messages about bed adhesion too on every print. I too ignore them lol. Again, great work and great time lapse on the print. Keep it up

    Cool to see the hairy lion again. I remember printing one back in 2017 timeframe after Joel introduced the model to us all. Mine was smaller than your full size one for sure. The print is probably in a box here somewhere. Thanks for sharing your XL adventures and giving me a flashback!

    Glad to see you printed this. I was one of those who suggested you try it. In the future you can use a serrated knife to cut the brim away. It works a treat. Your lion turned out very nice. And big!

  • @jordini321

    If you right-click on auto-align in PrusaSlicer, you get a dialog box that enables rotation! I'm not sure if it would be "smart" enough in this instance to fit the part though.

    Adaptive fills are okay, but some models you will get perimeter problems or structure issues as the parts cool at different rates. No hard rule when to turn them on/off---unless it is a structural part.

  • @Zettymaster
    @Zettymaster Год назад +1

    your "align" issue is because you need to right click the align button and there is a checkmark that enables rotation.

    I'm torn between getting an XL or MK4. I could almost get two MK4 for the price of one XL, but when i see big prints like this big lion, it is so cool. I think i will get the mk4 though. Maybe I'll get an XL or comparable in a few years though. 👍🦁

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  Год назад +1

      If you purchase an XL now, is it still just the pre-order amount due until it ships? If so, I would say do both. Get on the list for the XL and get an MK4 for now. Then when the email comes for the XL, you can decide then. Hope this helps!
