I’m saving money for one to get rid of my dependence on Uber and Lyft to get back and forth to work (5 miles each way) since I’m no longer comfortable taking the bus post covid. Since I live in Los Angeles I figure I can ride it most days and Uber when it’s raining

I had one got a great deal on it. I am 235 lb and that Segway never let me down. It's a tank of a scooter to say that I did not treat it lately would be an understatement. Great scooter. The only downside is when the battery goes down to 50% so does your 18 mph speed. Mine dropped anywhere between 12 to 14 mph. Otherwise a great scooter.
@@FauciGroyper If you are the size of my daughter and she's 5'(today 😂) 90lbs and riding on flat Arizona pavement while in eco mode then it's possible. Realistically with my weight I got roughly 16 miles on its highest setting. Not the easiest either as it had no shocks and I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are a teenager and flexible as rubber band. I never tested it on its three settings alone. But even with all those flaws I still recommend this scooter. Their like the Toyota of scooters. Reliable, confident and no drama scooter. With it's legacy reputation you can go to sleep at night knowing your house won't burn down. Other scooters I have to wonder and keep one eye open. Cheers

I was recently on a family vacation and rented the baby Max (G30LP) and decided to order one (arrives this week). If I actually was planning on commuting or using it more 'seriously' then I think I'd have gotten the full Max. But I found a crazy good deal on the LP which made it about $300 less than the full Max. I guess if I end up really loving it, I'll upgrade one day. Maybe the next generation Max. Seems like a good solid scooter either way, and I was too scared to buy some weird brand I never heard of before. Especially as some of them have stupid tiny warranties. Ive had this a year now and i have broken 2 ribs, stiches to my jaw and near my eye, this helmet does not protect you from these injuries, get a good one that also protects your jaw and somewhat your face as well. Mine is hacked to go faster since i am nearly at the weight limit and 6"4 so i can still get it to like 26-28 km/h and as range goes with these hacks, i am getting around 30 km with one full charge.
@@brandonbuckman86 Its easy if you know what you are doing. There are easy guides to hack and set up profiles but these are all warranty breakers so when you mod, you cant get the warranty repair anymore.
I wanted a onewheel, felt like it would be a natural fit with my comfort with other board sports but the lower range and lower speed lead me to one of these. It is a nice feeling riding for sure, there is a novelty factor that wears off after one season of riding but on year two I still road it 300km so far. There are too many escooters in Toronto now I don't feel worried at all about the ban being enforced. Feel pretty safe riding at 30km/hr too, not sure how I would feel about going 40km/hr on a dual motor model in our crowded city.
Are they still banned in Toronto? I was walking down spadina a week and a half ago and there were hundreds of these scooters. I bought one as soon as I got back from Toronto, I was actually going to opt out of buying one because of the ban in Toronto. I still might return it.
you can get a 48 V add-on battery pack that boost your range to twice as much if you wanna go the same speed but it'll also bring it up to 30 mph. If you wanna go faster and keep the same range it already has you can also get even more bigger battery booster packs they mount to the front of it, check them out you can make 40 mph if you want to with the right booster pack

i got a replika of this scooter, but it has some factory bs error happening with the back wheel. i just got the inner tube replaced with a brand new one and right after the first use the inner tube started leaking air again.

bruh, a lot of people are looking specifically for IP scores and water resistance information. It would've been much more informative if you could delve deeper into that. IPX5 means it is water-resistant to splashes of water (puddles and rain) and up to medium water jets. Which is actually very good for a scooter. Most don't go beyond IPX4

The only thing I would want is for it to have a little more range than it already does. Like 25 miles on full power would be amazing.
G30 might be good but the g2 feels like you are riding on a cloud. The road has all sorts of imperfections and the g2 eliminates majority of that with the front and rear suspension.

With wheel off ground n I made it you don't have kick to start power to motor but yeah the speed boost makes it funner but now I need more air in my tires cince I been goin faster , I'm 200 lbs in Alabama n I traded a shotgun for my Segway lol a maverick 88 for Segway made better charger changed flashed made vin number there cool

I'm only asking because I just bought one and was thinking about doing that- but I dont want to risk breaking it or anything, also I saw a video where someone modded it to go nearly 30mph and it looked very dangerous. The only thing I would want is for it to have a little more range than it already does. Like 25 miles on full power would be amazing.
G30 might be good but the g2 feels like you are riding on a cloud. The road has all sorts of imperfections and the g2 eliminates majority of that with the front and rear suspension.

Best overall scooter for around $900 but they still straight up lie to you saying 40mile range on mid speed, at best I get 23miles
The range is usually based off eco mode, not race mode is why.

@@YuriTereshyn xsioflash app , I downloaded app then Bluetooth it to your scooter link em up , the Bluetooth light b on your scooter then it say connected , then it say change region and you see several different ones but the best one so far is the speed boost it's simple . With wheel off ground n I made it you don't have kick to start power to motor but yeah the speed boost makes it funner but now I need more air in my tires cince I been goin faster , I'm 200 lbs in Alabama n I traded a shotgun for my Segway lol a maverick 88 for Segway made better charger changed flashed made vin number there cool

@@YuriTereshyn oh n I just connected my scooter n I connected it the speed boost said for vehicle can't reach 30 well I didn't worry about that I could swap it BK but mine was already going 34 before the speed boost n it works with torque n top speed

it doesnt get that many km unless it's all downhill. i own this thing and it's so fun. also i'm faster than both cars and bikes sometimes.
