Tip: I have this one as well for some time now, and if you go over a bumpy road, most will not be bothering you. But you will be amazed what happens when you lift your heels and stand on your toes while riding a bumpy road. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

Oh btw, you are wrong, you don't have to kick to start moving with the throttle. There's an option in the app to throttle up from a stand-still.
