I would've liked having Joey as the main hero of this storyline, or Kaiba, or any of the major players who weren't Yugi, honestly. Because if you're going to have so much filler just use it to give other characters the spotlight for once, otherwise it truly is a waste of time to sit through. That's why I like the Garlic Jr. Saga despite it's many, many, many flaws.

It had so many great moments: the dragons awakening, Atem's loss/Yugi's sacrifice, MONSTA CARDO, Atem/Kaiba v Dartz(which itself had awesome moments like: the three knights, Atem's bullshit higher than infinity play, and Kaiba's "Nah, as CEO of a huge company, I have to do that every day." line when Dartz thinks he won't attack the mirror knight souls

what's even worse than "Shining Draw" is "Recontract Universe" where he takes a card in his hand and completely, 100% changes it into a completely new one. As far as bullshit goes: Recontract universe(ZEXAL III)>Pendulum creation(Zarc/Yuya)>Shining draw(ZEXAL I-IV)>Heart of the Cards(Atem)>Haou drawing(Judai)/clear mind(Yusei). Because changing cards completely>adding a mediocre mechanic to them>creating cards to draw>drawing exactly the card you want>drawing into a card that helps in a combo.
So first Little Kuriboh is able to make spot-on Beevis and Butthead impressions and now he's able to do spot-on Rex and Weevil impressions. Are there no limits to this man's mimicry?!

Recontract universe(ZEXAL III)>Pendulum creation(Zarc/Yuya)>Shining draw(ZEXAL I-IV)>Heart of the Cards(Atem)>Haou drawing(Judai)/clear mind(Yusei).
Because changing cards completely>adding a mediocre mechanic to them>creating cards to draw>drawing exactly the card you want>drawing into a card that helps in a combo.
