This shows the value of different coaches teaching the same thing. They all bring different insights and ways of explaining it that can make all the difference to the student.

Not arguing, just trying to understand. Some coaches say that the turn of the wrist is natural as the bat stays “connected” to the shoulder so to speak as you rotate. That snapping as demo’s here can cause the hands to disconnect away from the body. Interested in folks experience.

If you watch the videos, are they really snapping their wrists or slotting their elbow? You are saying “this is what you’re going to do” while your elbow is down and the bat is still on your shoulder. Not an actual hitting position. It looks like more of function of slotting the elbow via humerus rotation than anything to do with the wrists. Unless you are just over-exaggerating the wrists for feel.

Search TeacherMan. He is Aaron Judges hitting coach. He teaches exactly this and gets hated on for it.
Matt Antonelli also teaches this. He’s a former MLB player.
