    This is one of the best videos for building a swing out there.

    It took me three years of studying the swing to learn what this video teaches in 7 minutes… incredible video, terrific progression, and very insightful observation: the arms are just the scaffolding, and extend via the momentum from the snap. Really, brilliant video. Nicely done!

      Wow, the same thing happened to me! I've been trying to learn this for several weeks. I almost gave up the 1st week. This video just explained so much better what others tried to explain. TeacherMan and Mike Antonelli are great, but their explanations aren't as clear as this guy's!

    Bro thank you! I know this video is older, but I’ve been working a lot on my swing and barrel path, and you laid it out nicely !

    OUTSTANDING. You are a great teacher. I've been checking out a lot of Teacherman stuff lately, and this video certainly has some similarities to his style, but I think shown more clearly.

    I watched this video a few weeks ago and have been practicing and trying to implement this approach in my swing. I even do a wrist turn or two as a cue as the pitcher starts to go into their windup.
    I feel like it's really been helping so wanted to come back and say thanks for making such a useful and easy to follow video!

    This is low key one of the most useful hitting videos on yt

    This is fantastic! Some of my guys are struggling to feel this concept and continuously force their arms through their swing - even during drill/movement pattern work. Incorporating the light bat with this progression will be a great way for them to understand and feel the barrel turn much better. Great video brother.

    Would the body turn be at same time of wrist turn or does wrist turn start with body still and body turns as wrist is finishing its turn?

    ...how did you come up with this progression? Impressed

    Well after 15 minutes I went from a consistent tee exit velo from 77-79 to 81-83

    This looks a little different than teacherman. Seems TM swing comes more from behind body no? This seems simpler.

      Michael Camden the progression is mainly focused on isolating the hands and how they interact with the handle of the bat. Once you add some hip hinge, side bend, and extension it will really help you stay through balls to all fields.

    Nobody used the punching bag for hitting until I mentioned it in Positional Hitting in 2009. Just saying.

    Not agree at all , by doing that you are pushing the bat basically , you are suppose to whip the bat , using momentum and using your wrist , so not agree

    • @HiProHitting
      @HiProHitting  6 лет назад +9

      Edwin Estrella using the wrists and whipping the bat is what this entire video is about.

      Idk, when I was in high school I didn’t have people breaking down the swing like this for me. To me, rolling my hands thru contact seemed obvious for faster bat speed and hitting the ball harder, and It worked very well. This just looks stiff, and hitting is all about fluidity. But idk maybe you’ll see my videos and say I’m doing the exact same thing you are lol

    • @VicInNocal
      @VicInNocal Год назад +1

      @@HBK360MUSIC It's an interesting debate, because I feel like ur right, that when the swing is more whip-like with the arms and wrists, it feels as if you whip it faster across the zone. However, I feel like it leads to more inconsistency unless you get the timing just perfectly right. Techniques like the one in this video I feel allow you to square the ball up through the zone with more consistency, and really squaring the ball up and hitting it with the sweet spot of the bat is the #1 factor to successful hitting -you don't even have to hit the ball that hard if you square it up and hit it with the fat part of the barrel of the bat, hell you could probably stand on one leg and still hit a smoking line drive as long as you sweet spot the ball.
