Watched your podcast with Teach! I did the same thing as you by just learning all his stuff from the free content he provides. It’s refreshing to see a solidified HLP instructor creating content! This is a great spark notes version of all his stuff, but also includes a lot of important details. I appreciate all your work brother and you’ve gained a sub with me.
Excellent, thanks for stitching this all together in one video. It is not that hard to get off the ground with HLP. Done wonders for my son. His bat and hand speed is vastly improved and his confidence in the box has gotten a ton better as well.
I’ve been all in and it’s working for my boy especially, but also my team I coach. Excited to see others that have bought in and how you teach. Despite having the course I’m always looking for angles to teach it since everyone’s different. Great video! And appreciate the efforts and quality. Hope your channel grows quickly!
The “hand pivot” is the huge flaw in this “pattern.” You break the kinetic chain of power transfer with that movement. And, you will be more likely to eventually break the hook of the hamate bone in your bottom hand. That movement as taught does not allow for a smooth transition to follow-through.
@@MichaelLoves2024 knob to the ball, staying on top of the ball, swinging down, “poop in the plunger”. These ways were never really efficient but they “worked” for some time. But pitching has changed, these methods just don’t work anymore. Old heads should be happy/excited that baseball is evolving and these great people like the channel host are putting in the work to figure these things out and provide us with the data they find. Instead it’s about “our way will always be the only right way” from old heads.
@anthonyj9787 Other than terminology, how has pitching changed? Given the opportunity, would you pick this channel for batting lessons over Barry Bonds? These channels need new content, so they develop "better" strategies. It is a big market.
Your ability to explain and demonstrate the HLP is light years ahead of the self proclaimed “Teacher Man”. His philosophy of hitting appears to have merit, but he is a highly flawed human being. With his combative and acerbic personality, it’s almost impossible to take him seriously. He comes across as a bitter old man, who hates the rest of the world. When he finally exits the scene, l feel people with more approachable personalities, like you, will have a much easier time carrying on his legacy. He’s his own worst enemy, and saddly, his complete lack of self awareness prevents him from recognizing that fact. I welcome your more reasoned demeanor and can’t wait for Richard to disappear from the scene. People treat him like a clown because he boorish and acts like a clown. He’s a joke, but his insights are legitamate. It’s time for him to pass the torch.
Richard was great in all aspects when we were with him. In fact demonstrated and said ALOT of the exact same things in this video. Not bitter at all. You sound like a jealous clown🤡. Long live teacherman
He's a show don't tell kind of guy. He means well. I've communicated with him myself. He's a really nice guy who is very down to earth he just is very passionate about the fact that most of the coaching community has it wrong.

Dude your presentation is great, is what you make them believe, I would fall for it too if I didn’t know, but I do know better and I can say with certainty that this method is trash/garbage not good. Appreciate you!
Thanks for this. It’s a great summary of the HLP drill progression, and especially good to see someone not bashing the method.

Outstanding overview and associated HLP drills - thank you
AJ,
You do a great job and I really appreciate your content. Thanks so much. I watch you all the time.
Thank you for that! We appreciate anyone who finds our content valuable
Appreciate the tutorial with the propeller
"Exact same move" Sue Enquest would say the same thing. Good video.
Part 3 should be the tilt 😁
Tremendous stuff
Thank you 🙌
Hey love everything you do. I need to get my kid on this right away. Do you have anyone in San Diego training this swing? Thanks
Would u recommend not hitting balls on the first three drills?
Teacherman deluxe!
Who’s the big leaguer you worked with that started to internally rotate his back leg?
Which one? We teach all of our guys to have a rear leg that turns them.
@@optimalpowerperformance7:30 of the video…big fan of you and Rich’s stuff btw, saw immediate improvement

I coach girls softball for 8 to 12-year-olds . Would these drills be good drills to incorporate for them? Are they too young to do this?
I been teaching my 12yr team this. It took them about a year to fully understand. Then 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Good stuff. Talk to the girls too 😃
HLP
Since I’ve learned HLP I’ve hit more balls off my leg than before. I think it’s because I let the ball get deep. Has anyone else experienced this?
Teacherman
Good stuff though
Anyone hitting a 100MPH off of the pitching machine

Says someone who has never tested, tried and applied the method. Sick observations tho…
The old heads hating that their way isn’t the most efficient way anymore 😮
@anthonyj9787 what is the old heads way? And why isn't it effective or efficient anymore?
