Watched your podcast with Teach! I did the same thing as you by just learning all his stuff from the free content he provides. It’s refreshing to see a solidified HLP instructor creating content! This is a great spark notes version of all his stuff, but also includes a lot of important details. I appreciate all your work brother and you’ve gained a sub with me.

Excellent, thanks for stitching this all together in one video. It is not that hard to get off the ground with HLP. Done wonders for my son. His bat and hand speed is vastly improved and his confidence in the box has gotten a ton better as well.

The “hand pivot” is the huge flaw in this “pattern.” You break the kinetic chain of power transfer with that movement. And, you will be more likely to eventually break the hook of the hamate bone in your bottom hand. That movement as taught does not allow for a smooth transition to follow-through.

@@MichaelLoves2024 knob to the ball, staying on top of the ball, swinging down, “poop in the plunger”. These ways were never really efficient but they “worked” for some time. But pitching has changed, these methods just don’t work anymore. Old heads should be happy/excited that baseball is evolving and these great people like the channel host are putting in the work to figure these things out and provide us with the data they find. Instead it’s about “our way will always be the only right way” from old heads.

These channels need new content, so they develop "better" strategies. It is a big market.

Your ability to explain and demonstrate the HLP is light years ahead of the self proclaimed “Teacher Man”. His philosophy of hitting appears to have merit, but he is a highly flawed human being. With his combative and acerbic personality, it’s almost impossible to take him seriously. He comes across as a bitter old man, who hates the rest of the world. When he finally exits the scene, l feel people with more approachable personalities, like you, will have a much easier time carrying on his legacy. He’s his own worst enemy, and saddly, his complete lack of self awareness prevents him from recognizing that fact. I welcome your
more reasoned demeanor and can’t wait for Richard to disappear from the scene. People treat him like a clown because he boorish and acts like a clown. He’s a joke, but his insights are legitamate. It’s time for him to pass the torch.

I actually played pro baseball for 8 years, coach and scouted for the Metsfor three and I can say without a doubt, this is not what you suppose to teach for hitting. Dude your presentation is great, is what you make them believe, I would fall for it too if I didn’t know, but I do know better and I can say with certainty that this method is trash/garbage not good. @@814Elite10Ubecause instead of just ruling it out without actually trying it. I tested the method with myself and other hitters first. As time went on, it was obvious that it was great. As hundreds of hitters began to improve. So I put my feelings and emotions aside (even tho I didn’t like how the drills looked at first) and actually applied the methodology with a large group of people over a large period of time. Who knows, if you actually did that maybe you would be more open minded to the idea.
