First I would like everyone to read this incident 👉 “During 1965 war with Pakistan, there was acute shortage of food. Adding to the woes, the US threatened to cut supplies of wheat if India didn't stop the war. At that time, India used to import wheat. Undeterred by the US's warning, Lal Bahadur Shastri ji adopted a new method. He asked his family to skip dinner for a day as he wanted to know how would countrymen feel to forgo one meal a day. Next day addressing countrymen on AIR, he asked people to go without one meal at least once a week. Even all eateries abided by his words for next few weeks. The man with high self-esteem denied to bow down before US. It was then he gave famous slogan of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan'. He aimed at raising rural economy and encourage it just like industries. That's the reason he promoted White Revolution and Green Revolution. The nationwide movement to propel India's milk and food production respectively brought a drastic change in the economy of the country. It was a stepping stone towards being a self sufficient nation.” This has parallels to the situation today in our country. We are too much dependent on Chinese goods and software that it is not good for our country. What many people are saying that we cannot live without Chinese smartphones or Chinese goods because of the features they offer and the price at which they offer and they assume that poor and middle class people of this country cannot afford to boycott Chinese smartphones and other stuff. BUT THEY ARE WRONG. If at a time when our country was in abject poverty, our parents and grandparents could skip a meal for their love of this country, we can't even live without gaming, entertainment or good camera? The poor/middle class people including me can definitely do at least this much for our country. They are underestimating the power of poor/middle class and their love for this country. If skipping a meal can lead India to be self sufficient in food and milk then boycotting Chinese goods and software will definitely lead India to be self sufficient in these fields too. China is using its economy and its “economies of scale” to further its expansionism by annexing other countries land. We common citizens of India can definitely help our military and government during these critical times by not giving China any business from now on. I have seen many people taking actions in reality and not just posting on social media about boycotting China. So people are ready for these small sacrifices. But are you?
Yes. Yet people foolish people continue to buy goods from china. They adopt dumping policy. At first they sell their products at cheap prices so that their rivals shut down and then start to increase the prices when people are forced to buy at those higher prices because there are no alternatives left as the competitors have already shut down. And also since local products or conpanies are not preferred they shut down and so do the employment for people working in it. We lose the employment, revenue and also a ton of many other cyclic factors from this. And india remains a poor country unable to catch up with the developments and technology of other countries which further makes it poorer. People are so dumb to buy indian products just because they want to save a few rupees but inturn they are losing thre thoousands of rupees they could get from the local employment opportunities, better education to their children and affordability to acess cutting edge technology locally

At the age of globalisation, it's almost impossible to stop using products made or partially made in China or by Chinese firms located in other nations. Take an example, even a porsche 911 has parts sourced from China, let alone home appliances, electronics, etc. China is the de facto "World factory" and will continue to remain the biggest exporter globally of all kind of products in the foreseeable future. The relocation of the globe supply chain is happening but still needs decades to complete and that also doesn't promise a "China-free supply chain". So instead of causing turbulence for domestic economy of India, there is better solution to the ongoing conflicts with China via diplomatic channels.
If we start inviting startups to set up shop in india, we’ll have to renege on our regulatory protocols. Which means that we’d have to compromise and water down our strict environmental policies. And that in my humble opinion would be the dumbest decision ever. Take a look at what China has done, they’ve essentially killed off their environment. What I’m trying to say is that there is a price to pay in order to become self sufficient. And more often that not, it is the environment that pays that price. We should not blindly harken towards easing business practices solely to become self sufficient. If Covid has taught us anything, it should be that the Environment reigns supreme. Ten years ago, China was talking about the same thing, we didn't want to use American, Japanese products, but we found we had no choice.
What India should do is to open up the market and attract foreign companies to invest and set up factories in India. Wow.. this is just what the doctor ordered for all those blindly saying Boycott Chinese. Great going guys.
Excellently written brother 🤝🏻
Which phone you’re using now ?
How many Chinese products you use Daily ?and how many your stopped using ? Which phone you are using ? Which laptop ? Which tv you have ? do you use zomato or swiggy or ola or flipkart or paytm they are funded by chinese firms If we stopped using laptops and mobile phone how can we do our jobs in an IT company , you should also know that the Statue of Unit Good % of work were done by chinese company as l&T gave them contract for many material and asked for help to build the statue as they were experienced in that kind of work . Hey they provide employment to our people if we boycott them many Indians jobs will be lost. Also our government also earns by GST which we have to pay
My name is also prakhar wow
@@prakharbengani The Plants in India are a Gimmick they employ very less comparatively to that of samsung......they tend to say high numbers which are false. @@25961945 you can't compare it to Samsung. It's just assembly here. There are a lot of stuff India has to improve in. One of the things being automobiles.
India imported 13 billion dollars of mobile components in 2019. These 13 billion dollars can be used to set up mobile companies in 13 different cities
Your logic is.... Blowing my mind
Wow logic overloaded
Wow those 13 companies will still need components. How to get that?
You just won the Nobel for your economic views😂😂

I support India if it has to ban Chinese phones like oppo, vivo, xiaomi,etc.....but do we have an alternative to match that technology.First we need to produce very good phones so that we can buy indian made phones.

my Chinese friend told me, as a revenge, he wanted to throw all made in INDIA commodities, but he couldn't find anything made in INDIA, even the curry also made in JAPAN.
so his conclusion is : INDIA is powerful country, it can reject chinese commodities, but CHINA could do nothing as revenge.

In the recent interview with Bill Gates, he loops out the unavailability of skilled worker in India, which is partly the reason ,why India fails to attract foreign investments from firms and also maybe the reason , why foxconn pulled back after internal disputes with 🍎.We really need to figure out a way to some how develop education system to equip the people with industrial skill after high school instead of spending a lot in obtaining degree and failing.
also very little budget allotted to research and development, I believe only 150 crores allocated
foxconn pulled out because they wanted tax incentives for 3 years but stupid modi government said no . you have to give incentives to companies .
EXQUISITE ANGELS not only stupid Modi government, even stupid congress government did the same
@@EscapeToVictoryNow who asked about Congress from you he told about BJP. Talk about that.
Mayur Gowda i guess you have just tried to assume I am one sided in politics, but I am not , almost all politicians except shri PV Narasimha Rao of congress and Atal Bihari Vajpayee of BJP are just corrupt to the core and are not interested in development
The biggest thing we forget is to make phone or any appliances we need to still impot the batteries from you guessed it China
Because it has the largest reserves of lithium in the world by quite a margin
So we can't make the batteries for more than a few years
But Chinese firm raids Tibet for Raw lithium which used for making smartphone batteries so China is just a robber who uses others for it's own profit
Doesn't matter. Little by little the Chinese companies will fail. Raw materials are low profit
Let’s not fuck with it. #WithdrawEIA2020
If the Chinese company's here really get banned, it could be possibly that the factories and offices could be taken up by other companies while keeping the employes aswel! In that case their investment would be minimal in building or setting up plants! Also, we get to keep our lovely trees! 💚
exactly what I was thinking! #WithdrawEIA2020
The problem is we are not ready to acknowledge our weakness in all areas. The socio-political and religious mindset has actually taken india to the stone age. Our love for our mother land is determined only by Pak, China and Cricket. Our poverty which was hidden from the world by means of big walls was recently exposed by Corona virus. Politics and religion its bad form are the two biggest enemies india has to fight with rather than Pak and China

But government and people are the problem here everyone is indiscipline and Corrupted here there is no value for hardworking and startup industries. If we need a change then we need to change people's mindset they are too bad they are betraying themselves and saying they are clever and smart no one is using their experience and ideas. Exactly this is what my take is...
1. Companies like Reliance / Tata should start focus and help on startups and encourage the youths to start the new company.
2. We should create a skeleton of the plan that anyone could start a manufacturing company soon?
3. IIT's / top premium institutes professors / x-professors should play a major role in developing this skeleton and start doing courses to bring awareness of how this could be possible.
4. Companies like Sony / Samsung / Pansonic / Sharp should join hands in setting up these companies in India like 50% of their investment and rest will be from government / third parties like Reliance / Tata
5. IT Companies like Infy / CTS / TCS should see how they can invest in the hardware platforms and leverage their senior leaderships to run the programs for the betterment of the country ...
Like that we should plan for our improvement

I’m not a tech savvy person. Still using the Mi3, the first Mi phone launched in India. My younger brother gave me his iPhone 7 which is my primary phone now. Never used tiktok, deleted cam scanner. Better to keep using old Chinese phones for as long as possible thereby avoiding new Chinese phones until there is a good non Chinese alternative.😊
The point isn't to avoid Chinese phones because it makes them richer. The point is to avoid Chinese phones because they can take our data. Which in the long run is much more valuable to them than the one time purchase of the phone that we've made
Eshaan Jadhav I understood that crystal clear from the video. That is the reason I have mentioned about deleting Chinese apps like tiktok and cam scanner.
