My daughter-in-law beat PCOS and got pregnant after 6+ of trying, dieting and making herself miserable. She started food service where they only send food with no ingredient list. Beef is beef veggies are veggies. They sent her the herbs and directions to cook. Basically taught her to cook. Now she shops only in the perimeter of most food stores with a detour down the spice isle. She’s learning by doing. She’s lost 85 pounds. She’s making me a Granny. Love her so much. My son has also lost weight and is so excited to be a dad.

Adding an intro blurb that explains who Dr. Mindy's amazing guest is and where to find her resources would be really helpful to and most appreciated by those of us who have no idea who she is and why Dr. Mindy deems her work and perspectives beneficial to all of us Resetters. You have such a great vibe together, and you both are my last summer's discoveries: I started using Jessie's hacks and fasting like a girl. The hacks were the missing piece of the puzzle for me. I learned how to get into that weight loss "momentum" - thank you for the term, Dr. Mindy! - with the hacks. Before, I sometimes got on the right way, and sometimes I failed. With the hacks, I felt amazing, light, energetic - and all that while losing some weight.

I love so many different veggies! I'm trying to grow my own because many times, I feel that the veggies at the grocery are in questionable condition... my veggy issue is the "questionable availability"... I just wish I had access to a garden plot! I only have 2 available window sills!
I'm currently experimenting with grow lights!
I'd feel utopic to be able to grow my own lettuces, cucumbers, peppers, celery...
Lenny Kravitz does an incredible interview on his Brazilian Farm and how everything he eats, he grows on his farm, totally "farm to table" which is total control!
Obviously, we all can't have a farm in Brazil, especially living in upstate NY in the winter! But, we might be able to have small pieces of that!❤
I hope this time, I will have success!❤

The vinegar mainly apple cider vinegar is long known for its effects on glucose levels. Brought mum's A1C from 7.3 down to 5.8 in less than 3 months. @DrMindyPelz BTW, I was so excited by watching your other video on sauerkraut juice being a great detox for the liver that I had to make my own sauerkraut today. I used red cabbage, sea salt, caraway seeds, red onion and also threw I some carrots for a diverse microbiome. I am originally from Eastern Europe and I am used to eating sauerkraut all my life, only bought from the shop, but it was never sterilised but live. So I now have two large jars 3/4 way filled with veggies covered in its juices as I crammed the veg in really tight as per recipe to make sure it is covered in the liquid and doesnt go bad.The recipe says 3 weeks at least and the veggies need to stay under liquid the whole time. I used laddle to push it down really hard :) and i shall do so every day until it is ready. I feel so good for it. I am also fermenting my own sourdough for my rye/wheat bread. Can't give up wheat but I managed to go as much as equal parts of flours and all flours i buy are organic here in the UK. I bake it, slice, freeze it. Then toast it and it goes well with everything really. But I love mine with avocado, pinch of salt and pepper or sardines or butter, raw Swiss cheese and parmaham. Yummy! I am very slim now but i was never big either thanks to intermittent fasting and all the yummy, whole foods i now prefer. Nature is great 😀 I also drink kefir and buy a pot of organic sauerkraut often.

Thank you Dr. Mindy. I want you to know that I really appreciate how you communicate your info in such a positive and exciting way and that allows me to share with my family and friends. I prob won’t share this one as much because of the F word your guest uses through out the.video. I would not share this with students unless it was bleeped out. Crude language causes the message to be less enjoyable. I have a difficult time thinking and educated person has to use profanity. Please know you work has changed my life, my family’s life as well. I don’t want to seem as though I’m criticizing your work… just maybe you could edit that out. Thank you for your profoundly impactful research and work!!!

Our body doesn't recognize processed foods and sugars. I love her message of eating vegetables after fasting. Makes sense. Thanks for the information 😊

I have been reading your book and watching all your videos. I’ve have all kinds of gut issues, skin issues, anxiety, fatigue, lightheadedness… so I decided to give this fasting a shot. I’m 39 years, 5.3 and weight 128. I’m in good shape. I teach dance for a living and exercise daily. I’m on day 3 of my period and of the fasting. I feel awful right now. I’m actually scared. I’m so shaky, having heart palpitations, pale, feel like I’m going to pass out, feelings of having a panic attack, dizzy, extremely fatigued, etc. I don’t understand why I’m feeling this way. I fasted for 18 hours. I have just eaten 2 eggs and had my DECAF bulletproof coffee. I don’t drink caffeine and haven’t in 4 years. What am I supposed to do. You make it sound so easy to dive with some side effects but this is way more. My body feels wrong. I followed everything to a T of what you have said. I have a blood sugar reader- it’s at 75 right now. My blood pressure is 118/58. Heart rate is 79. So those seem all good to me. And since I have been writing this and after eating the eggs, now I feel nausea and like I might throw up. I am bleeding heavy today but my periods are regular. I always cramp on day 2 and 3 the most. I was feeling hopeful but not I don’t know what to do.

Also I eat very clean organic foods. The eggs I ate were organic pastured raised and I’m doing bulletproof decaf with organic ghee and mct oil.

Also another thing I should add…. I have been fasting already for a month but this is day 3 of doing it following my cycle. So it’s not new to my body.

ur still detoxing. patience +perseverance. it may take a year to hear ur body. if ur feeling krap, eat. give it body a break. just dnt give up. detoxing is serious. be kind to self, +it will reward. +get medical or natropath, on board too, if needed.

What is the longer fast you're done? Are you hydrated enough? Are you taking electrolytes and minerals? What did you eat before you started your fasting? 🙂

@@DrMindyPelz thank you for getting back with me. So I had a warm chicken and rice soup with some avocado at 1:00 yesterday. So my fast was a little over 19 hours. I drank and drink a ton of water and also use LMNT in my 40oz cup. I drank 3 to 4 of those cups of water a day.
To let you know, I just had a zoom call with a doctor that is actually on your group/board she said. Turns out I have an infection in my gut, and my body cannot process proteins or fats right now. My lithium was very low and my liver is not in good health. I also have a lot of mercury in my body. She suggested I continue fasting but just stick with the 16:8 and no keto for now. I’m about to do a supplement detox through her for my colon and liver. She also said she feels I should be eating more food during my period but what do you suggest?

Dr Mindy! Absolutely love your work, and very blessed to have come across it. My partner and I got your book a few weeks ago and followed your protocols for the phases of our cycles....today, we are on day 24 of our cycles (so in the nourish phase) and so we split a bottle of prosecco, a bag of chips (without maltodextrin), and a 35g bar of white chocolate each and we tested our blood glucose levels..... 5.3 MMOL. We couldn't believe it- seemed low for all the carbs and sugars we ate. We then ate gnocci for dinner about 1.5 hrs after the prosecco, chips and chocolate and tested again...4.1MMOL. So we are super confused- maybe our device is broken or do we literally use up all that glucose making progesterone at this window in our cycles? We did drink balsamic vinegar and ACV spritz before lunch and we did take berberine but still.....any input would be greatly appreciated.

The zone with Barry Sears? He has you treat starchy carbs as condiments. Half your plate is low glycemic index carbs. Unless I have the wrong zone. But the zone I did years ago actually works like a charm. Good fats with everything too and the idea is stop the insulin rollercoaster.
