- Is our 42' Class A motorhome too big to boondock or am I just getting too Old to drive the thing. While driving to our next campsite recently, I made some bad decisions and now we have to pay for those decisions.

That’s why Pearl should always drive❤❤
Time for Bob to scout out the camp spot and Pearl drive the RV to the spot!!!!
Great Observation! LOL
Your insurance company would love to hear that.
Glad to see your still hitting the road.
Hi Robert, good to hear from ya and technically "I hit the Trees not the Road" LOL no pun intended
Thanks for the latest video. Best forward Bob and Pearl.
Sorry for your troubles, but that did look like a great boondocking site! Repair job looked great! Safe travels, friends!
Hi Laura, it was a pretty nice site and with great friends. Hope you and Scott are doing well and we wish you Safe Travels
I love the graphics Bob.
Thanks Frank, I really appreciate your comment, glad you enjoyed the videos.
definitely did the right thing by not claiming. the bigger problem is if something happens again for say $15k and what do you do now? file another claim? you 100% made the right decision.
Thanks for the support, it seemed like the right decision but you often question yourself on these type things. I sure hope we don't have to experience another incident any time soon. LOL
Well this finally came on my feed! Nice to see you guys again! ❤
I walked all around your rig and would have never known about your boo-boo!
As someone I know always says "It's Just Part of The Adventure" LOL We really enjoyed camping with you two last week and look forward to next time.
Bob, we all have to watch for those gremlins out there! Next time something like that happens, you might have been better off looking at a salvage yard for the part. Visone out of KY is a good one for many class A wrecks to pull parts off. Just a thought! Fix looks like new, so congrats on that! We will be heading up to CT in the next few months to work a COE recreation area. Looking forward to that! Stay safe and keep the dirty side down.
Life happens, things happen, but if you keep your faith in God it'll all work out for the best! Thats my motto and it has always worked out for me! Im glad that you all are safe and well, and that the coach has been fixed! God bless y'all and keep on trucking! Love you guys!
Great philosophy and I think it works well. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video
we were at QS too, wish we had known you were there, would have been fun to met you. it was fun
Could happen to any of us. Out of pocket was the way to go. Loved the video! ❤
Great to hear you enjoyed the video and appreciate your comment
Bob, so sorry about that. Glad y'all had a good time in Q. Take care.
Quartzsite went well and no stress with only 4 RVs. Hope you two are doing well and enjoying that Florida sunshine.
Hi Bob And Pearl!
Always nice to see you both? Was nice to see Ron and Kim!
I have enjoyed your videos because you show the good, Bad, and the ugly! Thank you!
I have plans for work camping in Copalis WA this summer. May thru August.
Fair Winds and following Seas!
Ken and Lewis!
Hi Ken, not sure just how far up in Washington we will venture this summer but if we get close to Copalis we will be sure to stop in and say to you and Lewis. Summer is just around the corner so it won't be too long before we all start heading north.
Wow, sorry to see those dents and scratches! Damn! We have come to accept insurance has become something you pay for and do not use. It is such a crooked game.
Good stuff Bob, Burlington Bill from just down the road!
Bob, almost time to high 'em up.
Insurance company might raise your rates if they happen to see this video.
Get some radios and use them when you make moves like that.
Wear a helmet on those bikes and hope to continue to see you out there.
Good Ideas, thanks for sharing Mark and look forward to seeing you out on the road... Safe Travels
Glad you didn’t have the big rally this year because we would have had to miss it and that would have made me almost as sad as having the surgery I just had 😂 Maybe next year another big one???
Absolute beautiful repair. We fixed our "boo boo" in cash also and never turned it into insurance. I think you did the smart thing. We so watch every video you post as our favorite site. You guys are so honest and sincere. Thank you very much.
I was following my husband out of Red Bay Diesel when the right rear end dropped into the ditch at the exit and i saw the right rear end slam into the asphalt, the right rear lights fly off into the air and the whole right rear end crack and shatter. $5000 later it was fixed but not until we both had shed some tears.
Thanks Melody, we can't tell you how much we appreciate your comment, thanks for watching our videos. Your rear end dropping into the ditch must have been very scary to watch. Glad to hear it all worked out for you two. These things happen but they are never fun although they eventually do make for fun campfire stories but that will take a season or two for us to get there. LOL
Hi Bob & Pearl, Bob I hope you had a nice birthday this year. I love seeing Pearl scoot along on her three wheeler. It looks like fun. We have spent the last 2 1/2 months in Florida and are heading to Albuquerque for our annual doctor appointments. We are at TT Colorado, Tx. It’s be pretty cold here. We will head to TT Fun n Sun in San Benito, Tx for a couple of weeks hope it’s warmer there 🤣. It’s good to see you are doing well, sorry about the boo boo on the side of your rig. It’s very frustrating and expensive. Are you planning going to visit family in Oregon & Washington this year? Like you, we are taking it year by year staying out on the road. Love when you post a new video so we can see what you have been up to. Take care and hope to see you on the road again someday!!
~Janice & Larry~. 😊❤️🇺🇸
Hi Janice, thanks, I even had a birthday cake. I think Pearl rocks on that e-trike. I hear the weather has been pretty nice this winter which is always good, Yuma has been fairly nice so far as weather goes. We were at the TT Colorado several years ago but we didnt get one of the river sites but it was still pretty nice, never been to the Sun in San, is that one of the Encore parks in south Texas? We will probably do the Oregon/Washington thing again this year but haven't made definite plans yet. Look forward to crossing paths with you and Larry again which I am sure will happen like it always does. Safe Travels!
Bob, you probably made the right decision on not reporting the accident. I would advise keeping the accident a secret and not let anyone know. If the insurance company finds out, remember that the tree jumped into the path of your motorhome. The accident was not your fault. Just saying…
Bob, I know how you feel. My wife says she knows how Pearl feels. June 1st I tried to mow over a redwood stump in my yard. $12,000 later we are back on the road. My fault, never try simple tasks when your tired.
OUCH! I feel your pain but glad you're over it and back on the road. Eventually it all ends up just fine and part of the adventure. At least that is what I keep telling myself. LOL
No matter what is going on it is always good to see you and Pearl. Drive safe!
Hi Dennis, I agree and look forward to running into you two again. Hope your RV Adventure is still going as smooth as planned, It was great hearing how much you both were enjoying the RV Lifestyle.
@@JustPassingThru We started this year in the Keys, Miami Everglades, and now Ft. Myers. headed to Venice tomorrow. Visited all three national parks in Florida and volunteered for some Hurricane relief with a group gutting flooded house for rehab. it’s very sad and sobering to see what happened to some unfortunate people. Talk to you soon.
Hi Bob and Pearl, see what happens when you let Bob drive.. no, just kidding. We left our Ebikes at home this year. We found that it's to rough to ride our bikes on the rocks and more..
Hi Doug, we are not sure how much we will ride the e-bikes but I am guessing we will take them with us this year and find out. Hopefully we ride them more than the Walmart bikes we started with. LOL
you will know when its time..stay free and stay informed...
I sure hope your right, so far we still seem to be doing fine with our RV travels but as we creep closer and closer to 80 every year and our time on the road is nearing its end in the not too distant future. We plan to enjoy it all we can. Hope your doing well yourself and appreciate your comment.
Bob, to many Jalapeños Margaritas will do that to you.😂😂😂
Hi Charles, yup, them Jalapenos Margaritas are great but a couple is probably plenty. Hope you and Abby are seeing a little sunshine occasionally 🙂. We have been a little cool but the 70's are returning tomorrow here in Yuma.
Oh no so sorry for this mishap. Glad you still were able to go to the rally.
Thank You Melody, glad you enjoyed the video and we had a really fun time in Quartzsite.
Wow ! Sorry to hear about the dents and scratches in your RV . You did a good job on the video!!! I was out at Quartzsite for thanksgiving I spent it with RUclipsrs Blue Van Dan and lorrie way , I stayed for 3 days and flew back to Ohio , I had a great time !! This is my 4th year in a row at Quartzsite.
Robert from Ohio !!!
Hi Bob. It was great seeing you at "Q" a couple of years ago and I know you really enjoy the area just like most of us do. There is just something special about Quartzsite in January.
@@JustPassingThru HI Bob , it’s a nice little town ! And a lot of nice RUclipsrs that hang out in quartzite !!! I have meet a lot of RUclipsrs like your self that are very nice people !!! And it was a honor to meet you !!
Robert from Ohio !!! Looking forward to your next video !!!
Any info on your electric trikes?
This is why they need CDL licenses.
People just think they can drive anything lol 😂
We couldn't agree more, in Nevada we have to get a Class B (non-commercial) license to drive anything over 26,000 lbs with air brakes. But a license doesn't really mean a whole lot I guess, just a starting point.
So much damage. Sorry
Your rig is just too big it limits you so much!
Yes those trees can jump right out and bite your coach. I had one rip the awning off. I was amazed at how far the awning would fly. I had NIRVC do the body work for me. They are one of the only places to have a paint booth big enough to put a coach in. They are also the only place I know who have their paint standards published on their web site and a video explaining them. I thought you might find it interesting.

Bummer on the awning, NIRVC is a notch or two above our budget I am guessing but no doubt they are the best. Interesting video, we have had a couple friends who have used them and seem very happy with the results.
@@JustPassingThru If you were going to use insurance you might look at them. Hope you never need anouther repair.
