Thanks to everyone who viewed the original video over on Anthony's channel and my reel on instagram, and requesting this full version. I've never had this much fun making a full track as the chains are my fav band of all time, and i'd previously shy'd away from doing anything with their style musically (don't ask why i really have no 'reasonable' idea). The creepy harmonies and verse chord structure are totally self titled album. The solo vocal lines and chorus are Dirt. The solo is totally Facelift. Amazing job. If I close my eyes I wouldn’t be able to tell it’s not AIC.

As a hardcore og AIC fan from the very beginning, this hits so hard in such a good way. It really does sound like it could be an outtake from the Facelift sessions… like something I would’ve bought on bootleg. I am sure I speak for everyone on here that (1) you are incredibly talented and (2) I would love for you to put together a whole album of “If AIC wrote…” songs.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this combines my favorites of all time. Loved Backstreet Boys as a child and they were the first concert I ever went to. Alice in Chains has been my favorite band for at least 20 years now (I'm 30 btw.) This is honestly so good.

I love how you managed to nail all of Layne’s vocal colourings he would do, like the “yes I know, no” in the second verse, the no sounded PERFECT. Getting the perfect mouth shape and everything… the work totally shows and as AiC are my favourite band I can say this feels like just another single they put out. Very very well done!!

This is insane man. You made this song legitimately sound like an AIC song, and every instrument and the vocals were top notch and killer. You’re a vocal chameleon brother, both your Layne and Jerry vocals are SPOT ON.
My only “complaint” with this is I wish the solo went on for an extra 4 bars or so. You were killing it and it left me wanting more! Once again, phenomenal job man, I’m super impressed!

You've got a new sub! Beautiful work. The partial song deserved to win the competition hands down. I had no idea you were making a full song. Thank you algorithm! I'm a huge AIC nerd. I won't get too granular. But you got to the essence of their compositional style. Down to very minute details. Very hard to do. Anyone can steal some progressions and flip them around and toss on some effects. But you actually understand how their music is constructed. Which is why you can hear the entire Layne era in that one song. Very special skill set. Thank you for putting the time in!
