I am a long time KoRn fan, and also love Torn. This is actually perfection, and you sound so similar to JD that it feels like a real KoRn cover and I'm all for it. I'm gonna keep coming back to this for sure, lol.
As a lifelong Korn fan, this is the best Korn style cover I've seen. Sounds straight out of Untouchables. Drums sounds 100% David. Your JD impression is on point as well. 10/10 amazing work.
Dude, you're stepping up the game for people who do this kind of stuff. You're so in tune with how the artists sound, vocally and with their guitar playing styles. All the other pieces just fall into place around it perfectly. I feel like I'm pretty much listening to the band doing a cover in their own style, but it's like some weird alternate universe where they actually do covers they would never do. Like, I don't even think the bands themselves would have even figured out how to sound like themselves through these covers that you do. So many bands try to play covers straight or more in line with the original arrangement, as like a way to pay respect to the original artist. You've figured out the formulas within each band's sound and you're so cleverly twisting that to fit in the most unexpected things. One of the few joys I have in life right now is how blown away and how much laughter I get from hearing each new old song you conjure up.
Scandinavian (old one at that) here: I was familiar with Lis Sørensen’s version “Brændt», Trine Rein’s version and the Ednaswap original but Natalie’s version was the first mp3 I ever downloaded (again: old!!) and as such, it holds a special place in my heart 😊 I had no idea I’d ever experience such a perfect Korn style cover, amazing!!! 😊
