I have just received this pattern. Is it safe to say I can use a charm pack for the squares? Love this runner. Thank you.

How many charm packs would this pattern need? Just one?

I made this but I ironed all the light color toward the darker colors, whether the tan or the green and red. They still nested, but there is no shadow of the darker color on the cream.
