Nice compare, this Dual X1650 XT is very cool, maybe would have been more fair if compared versus the 1950XT though Anyway great job with the intro/b-rolls! It's clear when someone is driven by passion, keep it up because you have the potential to get very good 😉
Hey framebuffer , thanks allot for the compliments. I try to make it visually appealing but I have limited resources. These where the first shots I did with studio lights I bought recently. Practice is still needed. And yeah I thought about the x1950xt once u saw the performance of the dual x1650xt. But I didn't want to go back and do all the benching again. Maybe in the future 😀
This was a very enjoyable watch! You clearly had some fun during the editing! This X1650XT dual card has some pretty substantial gains over the X1950 Pro, though I imagine it would have been more expensive. I do wonder how the 1% look, as multi-GPU in the modern era tended to be plagued with frame-pacing issues.
Thx Nathan, I did have fun 😃 and yes I should have checked the 1% low. Might make a follow up video. More people have requested that. About the cost of the cards..I didn't find accurate prices from back then seems like it was the same problem as we see Now, cards where sold over there MSRP
Wow, this remind me lot of memories...I did some years ago, a crossfire of X1650XT, both from Sapphire, with its beautiful copper heatsink and loud fan! I manage to make it works, it was nice.
i had a x1650xt and loved it i remember gaming on that sucker so hard when i stopped you could hear the copper fins tinging like a cars radiator freshly pulled off the track and parked.. ting ting ting.. lol always made me wonder what 2 of em would be like.... later the hd4670 would be where i got my first crossfire letdown i mean experience lol.. ended up with 2 hd4670s but one was the 1gb and the other the 512.. so crossfire worked but was jive and always stammered and never played nicely...
oh oh and then there was the jive hybrid crossfire episode intigrated hd3100 hybrid crossfired with hd2400xt lol and then later 3100 with hd3450....then i thought wait a second.. put 3450 and 2400xt in.. and they crossfired lol.. i never had a cohesive pair of cards to match lol.
Curious how 1% and .1% frame rates did. Those dual gpu cards were always pretty neat. I know it's nvidia, but I still remember the quad sli 7950gx2 set up dell did promoting some sort post apocalypse racing mmo game.
@@RetroGPUsandBuilds I only ask because people used to complain about micro stutter in multi gpu setups, often before reviewers started measuring 1% and .1% lows.
was VisionTek the only company to make a dual X1650 XT card? for what little i can research CeCube and ATI also made dual cards, shame Sapphire was my fav company back in the day i remmember having four HD 2900 cards in crossfire all sapphire branded including the motherboard which is rare.
@danthompsett2894 not sure. Bit I think gecube might be rebranded visiontek or something. They have very similar cards back then. Sapphire made the dual 1950pro . Hope to find one some day
I had the X1950XTX Special edition special order... Cost me almost $900 bucks Video in Video out Best Card i ever owned !!! But, If i knew this existed I would have loved to buy the ATI's first crossfire dual GPU card! the x1650xt dual. I would have bought 2 of them and did 4 x GPU 2 way Crossfire. That would have been the same price and would have been sick performance. Next was GTX 280 1.5 G DDR 3 in my Laptop ! Then !!! I bought a HD 5870 4G Edition special $1200 3 fan edition which was way better than the ATI HD5970 which sadly i sold to by the dual HD 5970 2G GPU card.. all for nothing. That was a mistake because i thought it would be better but it wasn't. Same shit and SLI wasn't the great thing I thought it was going to be.. Nvidia's SLI was way better ... Better drivers to.

Awesome work, as you usually do! Your base system for testing is amazing and the video cards are fantastic. Thanks for another great video 👍
Thx Bruno !

1% of crossfire and Nvidia sli depends on the optimization of each game, so depending on the game it will be good or bad
Very nice edit. Good comparison too.
Thanks man !
Nice video! I never knew a dual gpu x1650xt card existed. Sapphire also made a dual gpu x1950 pro!
Thanks! Yes and I would like to get my hands on one... but so far no luck
Oo, Biostar Tpower was legendary!
A horribly broken as fuck board though, according to the people on hwbot.
Yes it was , broke some fsb records. But it was also known for its issues
Good job!!! Love your videos!
Thank you !

Cool 😎 I have 2 cards as you saw but I didn't manage to get it to work. But I dought it would have performed any different the the dual card
@@RetroGPUsandBuilds yes I think so. Two x1650xt in crossfire could be slightly better than a Dual Gpu card with the PLX bridge, as always.
WOW! Im amazed what a wonderfull card so powerfull!!
Thx 😃
Facing worlds map and soundtrack are my favourite in UT99
Same ! That why I made this little tribute Clip in the video 😄
Really nice rare retroGPU.
Thanks 😊 I'm lucky to own one. So I wanted to share this with the retro community
@@RetroGPUsandBuilds in fact I really appreciate it!
By this mann some Likes!,this was a Nice Video, nice content

Great Channel!
@@D4RKV3NOM thank you 😊
Awesome, but the real question is, when will I be receiving the card?? :P

Clearly edited by someone that loves what he's doing.
Also, UT🤘
Thx Rick ! Oh yeah UT indeed... 😎
Clearly not. So much annoying filler. More than a minute before the content actually starts is unforgivable.
Excellent!
Thx !
21435 3DMark03 score, that's a tad higher than my GeForce 7900 GS and gaming performance on the X1650 XT dual is probably on par with the 7900 GS
That's is possible, I don't have a 7900 gs to test it out. Cpu is ofcource also important!
@@RetroGPUsandBuildsfor 7900 gs i got a score of 20000-ish with C2D E6600 and 16500-ish with Pentium 4 524 though.

@@xBruceLee88x that's a good point indeed
vrm cooler on your mobo is nuts
yeah! , Biostar should have called it TOWER instead of Tpower 😃
The results on far cry 2 are very strange
Yep, is was expected. Half life 2 is typically not calling that great in crossfire mode. So the x1950pro was faster indeed.
