    Parent gun training should be a way of life way before the child ever touches a firearm, just speaking after about 50 years of training my children and grandchildren to handle guns properly and with Respect! Thanks for all the time you put into your video’s despite RUclips micro managing!

    I’m a kiwi ( hilarious vid clip of Godzone). 30 06 is not commonly used in NZ. 270win. 7mag and 7mm 08 are very commonly used here. Our animals are thin skinned and not hard to kill. Velcroe on the front of boot keeps the sheep in tight for the shagging. Haha

    hi DD , I have a 22-250 in the savage mod12 thumbhole laminated stock with the stainless 26inch varmint barrel with a Meuller eradicator 8.5x25 x 50mm scope ' it was the first rifle i bought on my "second wind" hunting hobby because i just wanted a 22-250 and soon realized its main roll would be setting up on a prairie taking out rabbits or fox at a distance (australia) and always thought if i down size the collection that would be first to go but its always in the back of my mind that this rifle is perfect for that specific job and maybe one day i'll be retired and be able to do that exact type of pest control / range finder scope adjusting work ' this episode has sparked new interest in the caliber ' cheers ' Barry from aus

      Definitely a good one but I think the ones on Magnum Cartridges and the 6.8 Western were the best.

    Thank you Desert dog for answering my question,
    I think I should have been more specific in my email, firstly I know the 30-06 is popular here in NZ,
    just the importers don’t bring a hell of a lot of them in. So any that are for sale secondhand or new sell quickly.
    Secondly I am wanting a 35 whelen to hunt with overseas, I know it would be insanely overkill here in New Zealand,
    Once again thank you for your no bs content

    Dude is right. Blue lizard is good. Reef safe is mineral based. It is thick like tar but works.

    When discussing the age at which kids can fully comprehend gun safety, consider that most teens don't take driver ed until around age 15-16 yet you still see teens speeding and racing (often with tragic results). Is that because they didn't understand the material? Some of it comes down to not grasping or appreciating their own mortality.
    And regarding sunscreen, I've hated the spray since the day it came out. It stains clothes, the overspray is nasty, and it messes up polycarb sunglasses as well as the screens on fishfinders and nav devices. It always amazes me to see well-meaning parents fogging their little kids with a chemical cocktail absorbed through skin and lungs. Been using Blue Lizard for a few years now.

    To Craig from New Zealand: I use 60.5 grains of AR2213SC with the 129 grain LRX. I get a MV of 3,080 feet per second in my 24 inch barrel. At 400 yards, way past where you need to be hunting, you’re still at 2,318 ft/sec, which is a good velocity for proper expansion. This load is devastating on wild boar. A word of warning, this is the maximum load using AR2213SC (H4831SC).
    A Norwegian friend that hunts Red Stag, in Scotland, has told me they have switched over to copper in the UK. The guides like the 110 grain monoliths. I have a feeling they are using factory ammo, and are being extra cautious for reasons of expansion. The Highlands in Scotland, is one of the few places in Western Europe, where you can take long shots, past 200 yards.

    if you have the reloading videos already edited, why not upload them to rumble or some other place like that? by now many of us use rumble regularly and will go there if you provide a link to yout channel

    • @falba1492
      @falba1492 2 месяца назад

      DD, I know Rumble is a place you’re not interested in because of viewership being on the poor side. More of us are turning to Rumble for its non censured content, but yes, it’s sucks in many ways.

  • @EverythingIsPhysics
    @EverythingIsPhysics 2 месяца назад +2

    Comment on the letter about other platforms. YT is a censorious platform. Rumble might be a pain, but it appears to uphold free speech policies. It may be worthwhile to build an audience there in parallel to YT, as some recent independent political channels have done. It is slow to build, with low view counts for a while, but it will be there if YT closes you down. The longer the runway to build an audience, the better, if/when that time comes.
    The way you described your upcoming reloading content sounded to me like a self-censorship dilemma. I think that people who really appreciate your no-BS content will go, with some redirection, to the place where they can view it in full. The choice is yours, of course, and I appreciate all of the fantastic content you've put out. I hope you will consider spending some time and effort outside of East Berlin.

    Good morning Desert Dog, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, how do I message you? Or is that possible?

  • @jimmywilliamson8540

    With a lot of influencers I treat them kind of like Jay leno, I enjoy old cars so I'll watch an episode but the guy who makes everything the best thing, right now. You can't trust the information from some of these guys because everything is the best thing when they put their hands on it. So with the best of them you have to take it with a grain of salt and with a lot of them you have to regard it as potentially completely false. It's like appendix carry, everybody does it but I'm not going to get on that bandwagon. Well I suppose if they invent a revolver with a 32 lb sugar and I gain a little bit more finger strength I'll consider it
