I don't know if this qualifies as a pick-up line but when I was coming up to the land of consciousness after surgery I saw this REALLY hot girl. In my post-anesthetic state and said, "I'm glad we're in a hospital because you're so beautiful it hurts." The conversation didn't go much further as I became more aware and realized the girl was absolutely insane! She proved that when she married me over three decades ago. Oh, she did go on a date with me after that. :-D

When I was 16 I was walking hand-in-hand with my date into a nice restaurant.

Well, my skills are that I could blind someone with my farts. (They'd need to have a different air supply to breathe though). I'm super ugly and not much of a catch even if I did put a box over my head, so I don't get many options! Although, I could possibly charge for that (after signing a legal waiver so I can't get in legal trouble for it).

This is based on something my parents said to me that I think might be useful: You may have lost your employment, but your 'job' is to look after yourself. (Meaning: Take care of yourself regardless. If you work to improve yourself (even maintaining good mental and physical health), then finding employment based income would be a lot easier for you).
