I laughed so hard at the cat story. My cat has done that so many times. We search for her everywhere in a blind panic, only to have her turn up calmly meowing.
I was house and cat sitting for one of my professors "way back when." The cat disappeared, the alarm from the smoke detector started beeping (they were rare back then and I went nuts trying to figure out what that was) and there was a major snowfall. I spent hours out in the snow looking for the cat, couldn't sleep because of the relentless beep-beep-beep, searched the house top to bottom for days and was terrified that I'd be flunked out for losing the department chairman's beloved cat. Finally, I found the her. She had been freaked out over the beeping, torn the covering over the underside of the couch, and tunneled her way inside to hide. I found her only an hour or so before they got home. They paid me extra for shoveling away the snow I had removed looking for her presumably frozen corpse, and I wanted desperately to confess. Years later when I returned there as a faculty member, I did. He laughed and said the cat hid there all the time and they should have warned me. If you've got a missing cat, don't just look under the furniture, look inside!
Yes! Why and how do they do that? We had a scare with our kitten a few weeks ago. That little shit was where I had looked 5 times.

I think the best part about Kitty's story is them trying to tell it. I don't know how long ago it was and how old the kids are now but once they grow up, this is going to be a family classic story for the rest of their lives.

I follow the family, the kids are under 7 I think (can’t remember their ages, I think the oldest might be 7 tho) and that story about Kitty was posted a few weeks ago (maybe about 2 months), and they said it happened the night before I believe so… definitely pretty young rn 😂😭

We rescued a kitten that was the “runt” of the litter and abandoned by her mother.
She was so fragile and tiny we had to feed her with an eye dropper. My mother named her Pumpkin.
In her senior years my mother developed this odd habit of declaring “Pumpkin is dead under my the bed, I just have a feeling.”
This always took place as we were embarking on 3.5 hr drive back home after seeing family for the weekend.
By her 3rd or 4th declaration, we’d quietly look at each other and try not to laugh. 😂
The abandoned little runt lived a long healthy 20 years and no she was never found dead under the bed.
She passed peacefully with loved ones around her. 🐱🕊️✨❤️

my late husband and my adult sons never said no to anything I needed. They never ever covered up the products in the basket. I asked them why it didn't bother them. They gave to the sweetest answer I've ever heatd. They are both iver 6' and 200lbs. MOM

My mother told me a story of her grandmother or maybe great grandmother (details are sketchy), who had passed away. This was way back in the day before the deceased were embalmed, and they were laid out in an open casket in the parlor. As the family was sitting around the kitchen table discussing funeral arrangements, grandma, who wasn't quite dead yet, got up out of the coffin, walked into the kitchen and started warming her hands over the fire. She apparently lived another 20 years or so and was over 100 when she passed for real.
What made them think she was dead???

The girl on anesthesia was so funny and so cute and heartwarming. Sure, the others are painfully embarrassing to all involved. But some people react differently than you'd expect under anesthesia.
"Do you know who I am?"
"You're my mommy! I love you, mommy!" as she cries. Oh, that warmed my heart.
I'm sure she watched that later and literally died of embarrassment.
When I taught preschool our kids would bring washed blankets/pillows/sheets/stuffies or whatever for nap time for the week. MORE THAN ONCE I had to pull mama's static-clinged undies from blankies. 😂😂😂 It was always hilarious!
That's why I wash sheets and stuff separately from anything else. Never want this to happen to me, I'd die inside.
I pulled a pair of jeans from the dryer one day and went to work…later I felt something in my pant leg so I bent down and pulled out a pair of my underwear in front of co-workers 😂

Sorry Charlotte, I never experienced that last one, however😂... At age 16 (ish?) I had irregular periods. I was at my school's lunch room, gathering to go back to class after eating lunch. A girl I didn't know came up behind me and said something like, "do you know you are on your period? Bad day to wear white pants." 🫢 Sure enough my snow white pants had a nice big bloody stain on the back. Luckily either I or a friend had a jacket so I tied it around my waist, went to the bathroom and took out my emergency undies and pad kit. Thank you mom for encouraging me to always have that on hand. Yay tied sweaters!!!😂

The cat story reminds me when my web design teacher in hs came into class so distraught. She said she killed her son’s lizard by mistake. I can’t remember if she said they took him outside in the cold or what happened, but it basically “froze to death.” She came back the next day and said before the funeral, she guess he thawed out cause he started walking around😂
Or the time as a kid i thought my fish was dead. Didnt move for days, as soon as i put him in the toilet, he started swimming as i flushed it💀 i was like are you forrreaal?!
Did you know Hamsters hibernate? I wonder how many 'dead' Hamsters have crawled out of their graves a lived happy lives in the wild.
@@lotstodo When I was a kid, my little sister had a hamster. He had this little plastic boot in his cage. Hamster loved to sleep in the boot. One day he didn't wake up. We knew about the hibernation thing. We tried to warm him up but apparently he wasn't hibernating. Proper burial, got new hamster. New hamster wouldn't go near that plastic boot for weeks. We put the boot in the dishwasher. Hamster II now loved the boot as well. I'm guessing he could smell death on the boot.
We had hermit crabs that hibernated for a full winter one time.

There was a time my husband was not paying attention to what cup he grabbed for my daughter and ended up grabbing the one that said "I'm a F-bomb kind of mom on the cup. As a cat mom who follows Jackson Galaxy religiously (sort of), he did explain that cats hide when it's their time. So I don't blame them to assume that their beloved cat passed away since they couldn't find her.
It's safe to say that Kitty has a couple of more years to live. ❤

I'll bet the girl in the hospital is just coming out of anesthesia. I had a bad year with multiple major surgeries (well, eight. It was a really bad year) and I remember coming out of anesthesia once with the entire nursing staff laughing hysterically. Sadly, they refused to tell me the details of the conversation, just thanked me "for sharing." One did say she hopes she's invited next time?????
I was full on convinced the recliner they put me in to recover was eating me. Like screaming in terror clinging to my dad for life 😂

In high school I had a boy over to my house while my parents weren’t home, and while doing some “hands” stuff, we both quickly realized I had just gotten my period and it was all over his fingers. This guy was one of my best friends, but he was also super popular with the ladies and I had had a crush on him for quite a while. This was the first time we had hooked up or anything. I was absolutely mortified and started crying. He was so nice about it and after he washed his hands he jokingly over-the-top played me a song from The Used on my guitar to lighten the mood and make me laugh. Thanks Brando for being a real one ❤️

My husband had a reaction to the anesthesia from a minor surgery! He was like that young lady too! Emotions were all over the place for hours! Afterward when I told him I almost died from laughing so much!
I Hallucinate horribly for 24 to 48 hours after anesthesia every time 😆
We almost never get put under where I live. We just get local anesthesia (so basically just local pain relief). I have had 3 teeth removed and was awake for the whole thing. You only get put under if you're classified as a "fearful patient" i.e. it's impossible to do the surgery without you being asleep.
That Kitty story is made 200000x better by their constant giggling, they're so cute HOW ARE THEY SO CUTE.

In the first few weeks of me dating my now husband, we did the “deed” in the dark, when we turned the lights on after it looked like we did some sort of blood ritual. We laughed so hard.

My younger brother, the middle child, was fascinated by the refrigerator around age 2 or 3. He figured out a way to open the door, and loved putting random things in it. My mom was a 1st grade teacher (now retired) and we were hosting her annual End of the School Year party. A couple of parents came over to help out. One opened the fridge to get something, but ended up pulling out an entire box of tampons!

I wake up every morning around 7am. So I was 9months pregnant walking past the window in my underwear going to get dressed that morning. The window is pointed directly towards my neighbors porch. Naive me thinking they are sleeping takes the risk. I hear my 67 year old neighbor who was working out on his porch (this is the first time I ever saw him working out on the porch) yelled Jesus Christ. I instantly died inside crumpled to the floor and crawled all the way to my closet to get dressed. From then on I will always be more mindful of my windows and a few days later they built a privacy fence right across the window 🫢
That Surprise period hit sooo hard bc I had a similar but worse situation bc mine likes to surprise me and once she decided to come on right after he finished going down 👇 and I was mortified thinking about the fact that he barely made it out without a lifetime trauma and he still probably did once he realized how close he came to becoming a Vampire on accident 😅😅😅
I feel so bad for the first person who had the letter about being able to see into the bathroom. I grew up in a house where my bathrooms didn't have windows (only one did, in the biggest one in my parents' room), so every time I've moved in somewhere with a window in the bathroom, it freaks me out for these types of reasons 😅

I can definitely relate/empathize with the bathroom lady; only my mortifying moment happened at work! While there's around 30 employees in the store; I work by myself. I had an upset stomach (gas) all night long. Not a big deal when you're alone; however just after I had fa***d ; one of the managers came up to me.I'm on the ladder so it's in his face!! I was mortified, embarrassed. To his credit; he didn't react, but we both knew what I just did! It took me weeks just to look at him again.

The first one! We bought our house last year and it's above a nursery. We don't have a garden, so the back of the house looks out over their garden. The bathroom is at the back of the house, and one of the first things we did was get frosted windows. I was genuinely quite horrified that the windows hadn't been frosted before and there was no evidence of curtains or blinds!

The, er, special rag one... Y'know, I was reading on my own by age 3. When I started kindergarten (just before I turned 5) I was already very good at reading, and liked chapter books when I could get my hands on them. I may not have necessarily _understood_ what that word meant at the time, but you could sure as heck believe I would've looked it up on my own or asked someone. So, just because _her_ kid doesn't know how to read, it doesn't mean other kids in her class don't. 😬 Yeah, that is not a rag you want to keep around.

Surround yourself with everything you need,want, and love. Nourish yourself. Enjoy your own company, and love yourself. When you do that, you’ll attract someone who will help you grow, and nourish each other, and you’ll be able to make a beautiful life together. You can do this! You will come through this and be stronger than ever! ❤
Right there with you Love. But healing doesn’t start when everything is finalized, it starts day by day with you. Definitely try to get some therapy if you can, and start doing things for you. Were there any hobbies, activities, shows, classes, restaurants you wanted to try but didn’t in the relationship? Now’s your time! The best “revenge” is success and that comes in many forms. My goal for this year is 1) get divorced, 2) reclaim all aspects of health, 3) rediscover myself and that includes giving myself grace.
Hang in there, things will get better, but definitely find a therapist if you can. That extra support does wonders

My landlord and a plumber went up to my bathroom to fix a couple things when I heard them laugh then they started acting really weird & left quickly. So I looked around the bathroom, only to find that there was a big long poop in the cupboard under the bathroom sink. Like a big long adult human sized poo. I was mortified. Turns out one of my kids had done it due to the toilet not working properly but my kids were all really little at the time so I doubt the landlord or plumber thought it was any of them. It didnt look like something that could come out of a little kid. They probably thought I'm some kind of crazy pooping lady who saves poop or something.

Love the cat story. Especially since I put my almost 22 year old cat down today. So I kept thinking, is 13 old for a cat? I knew mine had a good life, but sheesh. Practically two lives for a normal cat..... But I will say helping kids process the giref of losing an animal is tricky, so I understand wanting to have a funeral right away.
True on the grief but they could’ve just said that they couldn’t find her but maybe she’d come home.
My childhood cat was 21 when she passed! The vets encouraged us to put her to sleep when she was 18 after she became unwell, so my mam said she wanted to take her home for a day or two so we could all say goodbye. As soon as she got home she recovered and lived until she was 21. The vets were amazed because they said she was incredibly old at 18.
That cat story had me crying. That was hilarious 😂

I totally feel for these people. My only question is, "Why didn't the parents just tell the kids that the cat got out?" Far less traumatic to have a glimmer of hope that kitty might come back. But, no judgment. They tried their best.
My little cousin was so distraught when her dog got out and thought it was her fault. So I see why they didn't want to risk the kids blaming themselves.

@@breezy3392 Fair, but also…being honest teaches them a lesson. The reason why you watch for the little critters with doors (to the outside) is…they can run off if they go to the outside. Like I'd imagine your cousin is a lot more vigilant about the doors than she otherwise would've been, whether or not it was her fault.

My cousin did nothing wrong and has always watched out for the dog since it was a puppy. It got out through a hold in the fence that nobody knew was there.
Cats live on their own terms.. the fact it probably watched them in irritation from its hiding spot, as they looked and called it for the day too!😂
@@breezy3392 I never said it was her fault either? My point was more, with the context, the responsibility *wouldn't matter* because it'd be a lesson learned regardless for a kid. We don't do this thing because of this very reason.
Ultimately, it's better for kids to not have the truth be hidden for the sake of their feelings, because growing up is about learning how to process those feelings. And also understand how the world actually works.
I work in an ED next to a college. Can confirm every college holiday, after midterms/finals, and the week before and after a term we are loaded with drunk college kids.

I used to ride my horse around my neighbourhood for years. I often rode past this house who had a low hedge in front of their house and never seemed to pull their curtains closed. I cannot tell you how often I would see the male house owner walking around naked, scratching his butt and even cooking in the buff. It was “too much information”!

I also have had textured glass windows. However, this window was IN the shower itself. Weird, but the house was built in the 40's, and it had all kinds of pink neon-like light fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom. The glass, however, was really thick and my dad went outside to see if he could see in while my mom stood inside the tub/shower (fully clothed lol) and he couldn't see in. We just moved from an apartment we had for 3 years and there was a window in the bathroom again....IN the shower/tub. Except this time, it was NOT thick, textured glass. It was a regular ass window. Why in the hell this was put in, I'll never know. I bought window coverings (kind of like this cling stuff) and it looked tile-like with a bunch of different colors on it. This worked perfectly. In fact, I ended up getting some more, but instead of the different colors, I purchased ones that were meant as a "black out" type. The ones I got made it so you could see out, but no one could see in. We loved them. From the outside, it looked like our windows were open, but it was pitch black in the house. I had curtains up in the living room and one in the front bedroom, but we didn't need them because of how good these window coverings were. We DID have blinds installed, so there was something there and not just an open, bare window.

Honestly the first thing in my mind when I saw the girl in the hospital and someone said: "How many bars have you been to?" made me think that someone might've slipped something in her drink, because I have been in the moms position. I watched my friend come off of the high and it was not fun, she was confused, sad and very scared because I was the only one she recognised.
Edit: Please do not take this comment as me saying "This is the thing that happened." because it (thank god) probably isn't. I just said I thought that as a first idea, then again I don't think if it was her being drugged, someone in the room would be making a tik tok, but you never know nowadays. @@ndawn90 I honestly can't say the same. I've been under twice and come out fully aware. Scratch that during my wisdom teeth removal I woke up just as they were removing the last tooth and scared the crap out of the nurse. "Oh my god she's awake!" isn't really something you want to hear from people working on you. Thankfully I had my wisdom teeth removed before my tonsils, it was this that led to the discovery that I break down anesthesia quicker than a normal person.
I can't imagine waking up from surgery in such a daze that I don't know anyone, that just sounds terrifying.
@@FairyLadyQuelaag It's possible you come out fully aware. It's also possible when you first start waking up you say goofy things & by the time you're fully aware you don't remember it, and the nurses or your family or whoever don't want to embarrass you. I've seen that happen.

I had a cat funeral situation a year back.... We got a call from our neighbors that a black cat had gotten hit by a car in front of their house. As we were the only ones in the neighborhood with a black cat everyone thought it was ours. So my family and I are sitting in our living room crying over this dead cat thinking its ours only for our cat to walk up from the basement to see what all the commotion was about. A cat funeral was still held and the mystery cat was definitely mourned. We were pretty thankful though it wasn't ours

I have a textured window for my bathroom in a house I’ve lived in for 5 YEARS! Just noticed last week that our silhouettes can be seen very clearly at night… in those 5 years I have not had one complaint but I have been in there.. with my husband… a lot. Here is to giving the neighbors a show😂
Okay, Charlotte talking about a bottle openers that look like phalluses. It was Christmas Eve and I asked my aunt if she had a bottle opener. She went to the drawer and handed this to me. It was a bottle opener with a short and stout peen as the handle. My grandma looks over and goes "oh did you find one?" I have never had to grip a peen so hard in my life, all to conceal it from my grandmother. 😂😂😂😂

I mean - in high school I started my period once and didn't have any supplies 👀thankfully one of my teachers (though idk if she was my teacher that particular year, but I had had her for one class up to that point) tracked some supplies down for me. Bless her, she's sweet :)
My daughter, she 16, had never had a date or a boyfriend. She had to have an endoscopy and when she was drooling while waking up, I wiped her drool and she started smacking me yelling DON'T FEEL ME UP! DON'T FEEL ME UP! I had so many nasty looks when people would just came to check on us.
5:57 i forgot to flush one time when my neighbors stopped by my parents house. They startled me w the doorbell, i wiped & answered the door. When they asked for a tour, I totally forgot about my bad business deal... It was so embarrassing!

Having had some teeth extracted, the “how many bars have you been to tonight?” Was definitely NOT, there after an extraction because using a straw will reopen the wound(s) in your mouth. I won’t lie, I did tear up a bit when she said “mommy, i love you so much.” I’m such a soft-shell now lol
I didn't pay attention, but you're absolutely right! No straws for a couple of days after to make sure you don't get dry socket!

She still might’ve bee in for something else because some of the meds for surgeries/post surgery can make you loopy too. Side note: when I was going under for my wisdom teeth, my last coherent words were “what a way to catch a buzz!?” My surgeon required at least two minutes to calm down from almost peeing himself before he could get started.

I’m an anesthesiologist and I don’t allow people to film in my recovery room for this reason specifically, it’s not fair and my patients cannot consent.

@@anabltc it potentially could, to be honest, they’d have to also sue the person filming I do believe and bring us into it, so most folks probably wouldn’t, but still it’s just not a thing I am ok with at all, I deal with so many pediatric patients that it feels especially important to me, because if their parents are willing to do stuff like this, I don’t want it posted. Especially in the clout era.
