By popular demand, today we revisit one of the worse weapons Warframe ever created, namely The Stug.
For many years now, The Stug has owned the reputation of being the worse weapon in the game. The developer even saw fit to nerf the self damage aspect of it while it still was the worse weapon in the game.
Thankfully for it, many other changes brought the to game have thrown a ever so thing lifeline to the Stug, so much so that I dare say it's no longer the absolute worse weapon you can play with. But it's still definitely top five weapons to avoid. It can run Steel Path with the correct build however, without the need of convoluted or impractical setups.

Fun fact: when me and my brother were very noobs back in 2016, he got the stug and used it as his main secondary for a long time. To this day it’s his 3rd most used secondary weapon. So stug isn’t only for veterans but some new players who don’t know any better might just get it too.
Early on in that time the spooge gun was decent. If i remember DE actually changed the gun from that period until now, still a fun gun.
i farme hydroid with it because i always search water/iced themed characters on games
i'll never forget how painful that 1 and a half week felt
running out of ammo, the enemy felt brokenly STRONK
it happenned long ago (before cetus was released)

Raid and the Stugg I honestly can't think of a more fitting combination.
If we ever get a Stugg Prime or Kuva Stugg, I wonder if DE will deliberately make it worse for the sake of a joke, or make it a god killer gun 🤔

Warframe truely shines with its modding system. The amount of options we have to push even the worst of weapons to the top is honestly really enjoyable to me.

I would love to see either a kuva kraken build or a kuva seer build, I just got those lich weapons and don’t know what I should put on it
You can mod all weapons in warframe very easily. The Kraken and Seer both have base damage, put on a damage mod. Anytime crit chance is over 20% and the multiplier is over 2x, put a crit chance and damage mod on. If it has over 20% status use the dual stat elemental status mods. Most weapons also benefit from multishot, so slap some of those on. If the crit and status are low use the normal elemental mods to increase your total damage output. Use the wiki to learn enemy resistances and use the elements theyre weak to

I'm honestly amazed the Stug can actually get somewhere now, even though you have to bend over backwards to even make it work. If I wasn't MR30 and basically done with WF outside of story content, I might've tried to build it up.

I have a 7-forma one. It's SP capable. Just don't expect it to deal like a Zarr. It ain't top tier. But it's fun to toss marshmallows. I hope this lil fella gets an incarnon some day.

when I first got this gun I actually thought it was pretty cool and good at the time what it came out with

Actually, the explosion of stacked blobs has been bugged for years and will only deal 1 ball's worth of damage most of the time, despite the number of balls added to the pile. If it actually worked as intended, the charge shot could actually kill steel path lancers with a good build. As it is, you want to avoid using the weapon's alt fire and charged blobs at all costs.
It'd be nice if DE ever did anything about this glitch, but no one seems to particularly care, despite it being well known enough to have a mention on the weapon's wiki and likely a few support requests that are now covered in black and blue mold.

they added corrosive damage on a weapon thought it was too op and nerfed it and thats how the stug was born

I have gotten a riven for it 3 times and every time I rolled riven to get fat damage and pump 5 or so forma just so it can struggle to kill lv 50s, and then immediately delete it to make space

I’m curious to know how far just raw damage can take someone. Not crits, status, or warframe buffs. Just pull trigger and things are gone.
Not very far imo, crits/ status stacking are kinda lifeblood to higher level clearing. i would say that raw damage could take you to like maybe level 50 content, so pretty decent but nothing further than that.
@@Accelos hmmm I know I cleared the star chart without buffs, and going through sp without them and so far been fine. 50 seems kinda low
Dépends, some guns with no crit/status can pack a punch hard enough for steel path, but those are very rare.
