I remember when the fanbase was on fire over Marina's losing streak... If only we had known the horrors to come.
It's so funny that Marina is both cursed and blessed in terms of streaks
It's still unbelievable that Marina's only win in 2017 in Europe was the world premiere, cake vs ice cream
Marina actually won 2 more splatfests in Europe only, Eat It VS Save It and Kid VS Grown-Up, both in the clout system. Still though, she was really unlucky in Europe regardless lol

And I forgot to mention the shared fests with NA. For that she won for team modern, team villain, team waffles, team wizards, and team teleportation. So she actually won 15 times combining all the circumstances.

Apparently, the Japanese seem to actually believe in Nessie or be particularly fascinated with the legend. That’s why the Splatfest was made in the first place; a westerner would have immediately discarded Nessie as a hoax, just like Bigfoot

Same here, have been playing since launch and the the only splatfest win I have gotten was keyboard too, but Frye is my fav idol so was kinda happy she finally won :)
Same with a few wins here and there I’ve only won 6 splatfests and every other was a loss

I'VE LOST EVERY SINGLE SPLATFEST IN 3 AND ONLY WON TWICE IN 2. MY FRIENDS WON'T PICK MY TEAM
I picked frye's team for every splatfest during her losing streak (except frosty fest but I picked big man and still lost), and then the one time I pick Shiver's team in the end of the world splatfest Frye ends her losing streak. I don't think it's her that's cursed.

In Splatoon 3 my highest winning streak is 3 with Scissors, Gear, and Water. My losing streak was 8 going from the Ice Cream Fest until it finally broke in SpringFest where Team Bear Cubs won
My worst ever losing streak happened in Splatoon 3. I had a losing streak of... 10... fricking 10. I won the first fest, Gear vs Grub vs Fun, and then proceeded to lose... everyother fest until Frostyfest... after a year and 4 months of losing splatfest... I finally won while being on Team Solo. Best feeling ever. Longest winning streak is depressing with a winning streak of... 2... in Splatoon 3 with winning Drums vs Guitar vs Keyboard and Springfest... My favorite idol is Frye so I guess I am just as cursed as she is.
If you are curious what my teams were up until now; Gear, Grass, Spicy, Dark Chocolate, Aliens, Wisdom, Strawberry, Love, Frye, Skeleton, Fistbump, Solo, Sunday, Keyboard, Bear Cubs, and lastly Same Ol'.
Damn. Skeleton, Fistbump, Sunday, and Same Ol' were super close too.
With every side you chose in these splatfests, I can feel your frustration with every loss. And the desperation for a win. I so happy you broke that streak keep it going man!!!❤❤❤

@paprika059 Thanks! In retrospect, three teams for fests sounded great in theory but in game... it's a clusterfrick. It's hardly balanced in some fests and heck... the themes are just plain crap or just downright baffling. I try to fun during fests with friends, but it's just hard to have fun nowadays with all these issues that are still plaguing Splatfests to this day. 🫠
And I thought my 6 losing streak was bad and I don’t even have a win streak before my losing streak I was alternating between win and lose

Total amount of Frye fests: 10
I never won a splatfest in 1 or 2. Like the entire time. Every single one I played. And in splatoon 3, the ONLY splatfests I’ve won was team power and team bucket list.
I lost every single Splatfest I participated in from Pulp vs No Pulp in Splatoon 2 to Power vs Wisdom vs Courage in Splatoon 3. That's a losing streak of 25.
Pulp vs No pulp was also the first Splatfest I ever played since it was the first one to happen after I had bought the game. I wasn't on the winning team until Vanilla vs Strawberry vs Mint Chip.

my worst losing streak (hypothetically, since i didnt have the game till the cryptid splatfest) is 14, starting with the pokemon type splatfesrt and ending, coincidentally, with the World ending fest
My worst losing streak in Splatoon 3 was four. Basically Shiver's winning streak, except for Nessie.

I remember for the 12 splatfest loosing streak I correctly predicted 9 of the winners when the themes were announced on day one, and for many of them I chose Frye. I didn't choose Frye because _"ShE deSeRVeS WiN!1!!"_ or my winning predictions, but rather the side I wanted to stand by because it was right I my eyes; She happened to have the same views as me and became my favorite idol later on.
*Milk, Alien, Strawberry, Fry, Skeleton, Fistbump, Family, Friday, and Bunny.* These were the ones I stood by despite my predictions and outcomes.
_Funny story- for Frosty Fest I chose Family, put the game down and didn't participate in that Splatfest. I set aside that entire month for family, and used every day of it. I have a feeling Frye would have done the same thing too._
And it doesn’t even help that the shiver Simps are constantly rubbing their victory in our faces.
My worse losing streak is 8, and it broke on the victory of team ghost on Splatoween in Splatoon 3. Splatoon 3 is the only Splatoon game I played in my life, not the first game or the second game that follows.

My worst losing streak is 7 Losing Streak because i skipped 4 Splatfests on Splatoon 3, it's my worst losing streak on Splatoon 3 Splatfest.

My first and only victory through out every splatfest In splatoon 3 was on team shiver. The worst part is that I only picked her cause I knew she was gonna win, so it wasn't even my real choice lmao😭
In splatoon, my losing streak is 12. I played 13 splatfests.. (Milk Chocolate, Alien, Wisdom, Mint Chip, Love, Frye, Zombie, Hug, Family, Saturday, Guitar, Baby Chicks, and finally winning Bucket List) like half of them were frye (8 to be exact excluding bucket list)
I’ve only ever won two Splatfests so far in splatoon 3 😂 and I’ve been playing since splatoon 3 launched. I’ve only ever won four splatfests in my entirety of playing Splatoon (I’ve been playing since early 2019, about a few months before the splatoon 2 chaos vs order finalfest
And I have a lost streak of 10 in splatoon 3🥲 which has reset to two since I won the drums vs guitar vs keyboard splatfest

@@Coldeggman this is what I get for siding with Frye on nearly all of the splatfest teams I chose. I chose which team I would be on for each splatfest based on which of the options I agreed with/had experience with. I almost went with team guitar for the last splatfest I won because I like rock music but ended up settling on keyboard because I played the keyboard/piano at one point
I won half of the splatfests in Splatoon 1, never played Splatoon 2, and including the rock paper scissors splatfest in Splatoon 3, I won 5.
Every loosing streak so far has won the final fest… you know what that means…
My biggest loosing streak so far seems to be four with it lasting from the Zelda splatfest to the deep cut one
My worst Splatfest loss streak was 3 with Springfest, the Music Fest, and the Weekend fests.

My highest splatfest losing streak is three. With the most recent fests as of early June (Drums, Chicken, Save the Day/Survive).
Here are my Splatfest stats as of the Apocalypse Fest (in the West):
My longest losing streak was 4 with Wisdom, Mint Chip, Love, and Frye. (though I had two other 3-long streaks)
My longest winning streak was only 3 with Sweet, White Chocolate, and Nessie. (ha, one for each idol)
I won 6 times and lost 11 times out of 17 total splatfests.
Shiver's team: 4 times
Frye's team: 5 times
Big Man's team: 8 times
Surprisingly even, with a nearly exact 33% win rate. And if I had joined Strawberry over Mint Chip, it would have been an even MORE even 4/6/7 split for idols.
My first Splatfest was Vanilla vs Mint vs Strawberry (I won that one), and then I proceeded to lose every single one until Chick vs Bunny vs Bear Cub. I am 2/10 in total for Splatfests so far.
And then there's me, who's been on a losing streak since Chaos vs. Order

I got 9 losing streaks. (Same Ol’, Drums, Family, Fist Bump, Skeleton, Big Man, Love, Aliens, and Milk Chocolate) And I won 4 splatfests. (Power, Bears, Friday, and Vanilla) I have bad streak 😅but I’m just trying to have a blast on the splatfests.

I haven't lost a Splatfest, but I've also only been a part of like 15 of them (mostly Splatoon 3)
Now that I think about it that's a crazy streak
I always choose big man team no matter what (because i realized it's much more fun that way). I don't care about voting or even choosing what i "like or want" because these things never affected me in my actual life. So i just meme instead :) Team Big Man 4EVA

My best losing streak is ongoing now, 9 in a row so far. I fully expect that I'll lose the summer fest too since I'm not allowed to win splatfests anymore lol

I was too late for Splatoon 1 fests and skipped Splatoon 2, so So far the only winning team I've been on is Nessie vs Aliens vs Bigfoot 😅

2:56 FR she almost lost! My losing streak is at most 3 being Spicy, Dark Choco, and Aliens. My win streak however is 4 being Solo, Friday, Keyboard and Bear Cubs. I was part of 3 sweeps Water, Power and Solo.
I don't actually remember my losing streak in Splatoon 1, but I definitely know for facts upon facts I lost a royal ton of Splatfests in Splatoon 2, maybe 5 or 6? As for this game, it's probably about 4 or 5 periodically.
In splatoon 2 I had five Splatfests lost in a row those being raph and Donnie pulp and no pulp squid and octopus adventure and relax and knights and wizards although I miss some Splatfests
Highest Splatfest streak was roughly 7 or 8 starting with Sweater vs Socks and ending in the tournament fest with Raphael vs Donnie(damn you pulp freaks)
Now Splatoon 3 is a much worse scenario having 8(EIGHT) losses in a row,starting with the Ice Cream fest all the way to the weekend fest. Thankfully it was finally broken with the instrument fest but my losing streak currently still stands at 1 so we’ll only see how far down my streak will go
Personally I believe Frye was also robbed in the chocolate splatfest since this was before regional splatfests
Yeah I was on Milk Chooclate and got plenty of mirror matches in Tricolor so I was annoyed to find out White Chocolate got votes in the end

Im gonna say this because i havent heard talk about it but-- during the Springfest results, Shiver beat Frye in Tricolor clout by 0.1%, therefore getting that bit of extra second place points. I dont know if that wouldve changed anything, but that detail is severely underlooked to me

I've only won 5 S3 Splatfests (Water, Sweet, Vanilla, Ghost, Bucket List). My only win streak is 2 (Water then Sweet), and my biggest loss streak is 5 (from Handshake all the way to Bear Cubs).

My highest winning streak is 5 in a row in Splatoon 3 (Water, Sweet, White Chocolate, Nessie, Power) and my highest losing streak is 5 in a row (Friends, Sunday, Drums, Baby Chicks, Same Ol' (tho I would've been Team Family and Team Friday and prolly Lil' Bunnies but I didn't want mirror matches and wanted to play with some streamers)) that will become 6 in a row if I lose the next fest
For me I’ve picked Frye since frostyfest. My plan was to pick her until she wins so yay we finally won lol.
Anyway, Nintendo is gonna do one of 2 things for the Final Splatfest:
1) Give Frye the BEST theme EVER, completely overpowering the other 2 options and winning the Splatfest (she’d still probably lose tho)
2) give Frye the worst theme and make her the main villain of Splatoon 4. Maybe the game will be called “Splatoon 4: Wrath of the Eel” or something…

My worse losing streak is 4, it is when Shiver won 5 in a row ( apart from the Nessie splatfest), I have had a few 3 in a rows, since the music splatfest though I have had Win, lose, win.
funny thing I've been mostly going on fryes team not bc i just wanted her to win but she usually has the choices id pick fr and for once I went on shivers team for Team Same Ol' and guess what.. yeah Frye won, as for my loosing streak I'm on 6 rn since my last W was on Team Ghost..

I lost every splatfest I participated so far. I dont know the exact number, but I've been playing since 2015.
I doubt anyone will see this comment or be bothered to read it because it's so long, but if you want to, I want to say something.
I might be one of the main players that led to Team Handshake winning the fest by 3 points. Let me explain. This was a regional Splatfest, meaning that there are automatically less players. This means that each player contributes more to the final outcome. Statistically, we figured that Handshake would win Pro, because usually the least popular team wins Pro, and according to polls, Handshake was the least popular team, and we didn't need to look at Japanese polls because as mentioned previously, Japan had their own Splatfest. So we thought that they would probably win Pro.
Because of this, Tricolour is the reason Team Handshake won the Splatfest. Tricolour is only in the second half, Open and Pro probably have more players that Tricolour does, and Team Handshake was the least popular. All of these things mean that whoever does play Tricolour and was on Team Handshake, they would have a bigger effect on the final percentage of clout we got in Tricolour at the end. I was on Team Handshake. I contributed a total of 1327682 clout points in Tricolour. That massive amount of clout, given everything that I mentioned meaning that there are less players, probably contributed a massive amount to the final results. I don't think I was responsible for the entire 1.87% lead ahead of Fistbump we got, but I probably contributed a lot to it. Or I'm just delusional and I was responsible for like 0.00000000000001% of the final outcome in Tricolour idk.
I don't think I'm the main reason we won, but I probably contributed a lot. The reason I contributed so much clout to Tricolour is because given how much clout you get from Tricolour, I wanted to see how much clout I could get by the end of the fest.
Anyway thanks for reading this insanely long comment lol. Btw, please do not in any way bully and/or harass me or anybody that was on Team Handshake for this. At the end of the of the day, it's just a game, and I was having fun. I just wanted to challenge myself to see how much clout I could get in Tricolour. I didn't think that it would potentially lead me to be one of the main players that led to Handshake's victory. Also please don't share this comment on other social media platforms or youtube videos. I don't want to be known for this. That said, Team Fistbump and Team Hug, you guys did great and fought very well :). Gg :)

My worst losing streak is 3 on teams Love, Big Man, and Skeletons.
Won 3 so far, just one more than Frye...

personally, i won 2 fests in 2 (narwhals and chaos), skipped re-run fests, and then proceeded to lose as:
- sour
- milk chocolate
- aliens
- wisdom
then i won vanilla, money, and shiver.
after that, i lost:
- skeleton
- fist bump
- friends (i still hate that the boring team, which is solo, beat me OR team family. what a sad, sad team)
- saturday (friday is not a weekend day, as it's carried by saturday. sunday is tainted by monday. to me, it's the obvious choice and yes i will be mad about it)
- guitar (i was gonna be keyboard at first bc i can actually play that but my friends TALKED me into being guitar. goofy goobers)
then i won bear cubs and my heart sunk when bucket list beat me (i was team same ol'), as i've been on frye's team way more than anyone else and yet got backstabbed once i hopped back on team shiver.
Yeah I was also on Same Ol' but tbh I still had a really good fest so I didn't care I wasn't on Frye's W that time
so far my losing streak is 6 since Splatoween when i won on team ghost

My biggest losing streak was five starting from money vs fame vs love and ending with Friday vs Saturday vs Sunday in splatoon 3 (I never got a chance to play any splatfest in one or two btw)
I had a losing streak of 10 once during splatoon 3 splatfests. My team (keyboard) winning the March splatfest reset that losing streak to two.

What sucks tho is if I had gotten splatoon 3 earlier I could have had more wins since some of the winning options are what I would've chosen
In splat one I opened up with a loss in Nunjas but won for team Butgers but then took a losing streak of 7 until team mary won the final
2 I only have a win via Power Star and Mushroom since that was my only spletfest in two
In 3 I opened up with a loss streak of for (World premeir included) That was to be broken with team white chocolate
White chocolate would begin as my win streak of 4 which would have been five but I chose to shake off picking team sweet to sho the world that winning was not everything and that having fun are what splatfest are all about. I knew they would win but for me it was not about winning, It was about sending a messege.
Following the win of team vanilla I would not taste victory for a wopping 8 splatfest. It would have broken with team solo, However Frys choice was more my style as I beleive holidays should never be spent alone.
I currently have at least one win for each of the three idols. And in splat one I have a win for both Marie and Callie (one for Burgers and the next FOR TEAM Marie though I was away on business and I missed the opertunity to play it) splat 2 I have one (Super Mushroom Super Size with Pearl since that is my only splatfest with 2.) I got the switch late in Splat 2s life. I feel very fortunate that Nintendo chose to bring back Splatfest one more time as the splatoon 2 atomospher for splatfest was really neat. That weekend I also completed the octo expansion a second time which was also neat.

My worst losing streak right now is 6 L's in a row, and it hasn't ended yet, ever since Splatoween, I lost every Splatfests: Fist Bump, Family, Saturday, Guitar, Li'l Bunnies and Same Ol'.
And I don't have a win streak at all, even if I got Splatoon 3 earlier, I wouldn't have one, cause I would've picked Rock, Grub and Water.
I personally don't care about that tho, the only time I really cared about losing was when I was on Team Fist Bump, I was able to play a lot more than usual, I managed to get to Fist Bump ruler +7 (that's the farthest I ever got) and had a lot of fun, so I was kinda disappointed when our team lost.
Oh mine is like 20 for forgetting to play and choose a team :3
The last splatfest I won was springfest on team bear
I had only won a single other splatfest until then that being team water in the Pokemon fest

and then immediately after a win streak of five lmao (Shiver -> Ghost -> Handshake -> Solo -> Friday)
I think my worst losing streak was between chocolate to anniversary splatfest, so 6 splatfest in a row
of all the splatfests they do. they're hardly useful to us. i don't see any changes. i don't see any specific food like cakes. i don't see any stuff happening around towns and other countries mentioning

Fun fact: assuming each member has a 1/3 chance of winning a fest (which is a bold assumption that probably isn’t true but shhhhhhhhh) her lose streak is STILL more unimpressive than shivers win streak, who’s probability of winning that many times (1/3^5) is .041%, whereas fryes lose streak (2/3^12) has a .077% chance. even when she wins she’s still losing
