I've been in the Transportation industry for 35 years. This is crazy. Years ago I had a broker in Slidell, La that got me for 35 loads, and never paid me. Back in that day 20 yrs ago most brokers were at truck stops. This one was at an old 76 truck stop, now a TA. Anyway he was working out of a travel trailer for his office. Well in 1983 16k was a hell of a lot of money. Well after he told me that he needed 60 days to pay me, I sent him into the truck stop to get us a cup of coffee, with a 20 I gave him. I went through his desk while he was gone found all my bills that he was all ready paid for, took them put them into my truck, then backed up to his travel trailer tied a chain to the tounge, and my ICC bumper and headed down I-10 westbound. I scattered that trailer all the way to Texas. Then when I got to Houston I took all the bills to the IRS office had them make xoiox copies and let them go after him. I also gave them copies of the checks he cashed for my loads. I then went to the Interstate Commerce Commission gave them copies of everything too, then I went to the US Marshals office, and gave them copies. By the time they got done with him, he was charged with over 185 counts of theft, hijacking, fraud, all state charges, then he was charged on Federal charges. He got 75 yrs from Louisiana and 50 years Federal. I never did get my money, but it was worth every penny. Thought you might like a real story from an old hound dog. Doc, out.

They found him in NY, in the trailer and in bad shape...he was supposed to deliver to a South Jersey center. He said they ambushed him when he got out at a truck stop. It’s sad how evil this world has become in this technology era. Very few stand up and honest people anymore. So many scams it’s really out of control. And people will take from you without a care or feel of regret. This is what happens when we take God out of our lives. Many may say the believe or whatever but until you actually follow him you will continue to do this evil ass shit. Even if you don’t believe in God it’s about honor and truth but so many have soiled their name and families name by chasing the dollar. Here’s the thing, that stain will always be with you, even when you die and it will be on your family as well. Even with God if you do not repent of your sins then your children will end up worse and deal with the consequences of your actions as well. You can love people or say you do but honestly how many people can you trust in today’s day and age? Barely any. It’s sad but true. We have pushed the chasing a dollar over things that are more important like dignity. Pushed a culture of money over everything and now we see where it’s leading us to, where kids are killing and stealing for it just to buy drugs and clothes to look “cool”. This world has fallen and I don’t feel that it can recover. Especially with people putting God last and their honor being so low that they think it’s cool to be this way. Sad era we live in

Both are owned by the same person and only have one person on staff (ARTAK YEGHIAZARYAN is who it is registered under in both locations). The one in OH is about 4 months old and the one in NY is about 7 months old. I hope that helps with any type of prosecution that you guys can get for it as this type of crap is BS. Amazon has been aware of this for at least 18 months. I was an area operations manager for Amazon Logistics for 4 years. It's the wild west out there. I personally used to give my cell phone number to drivers because of situations like this. I wanted my regular guys that did runs out of PIT5, PIT2 DPP1 AND DPP7 so they had a direct number that was getting answered 24/7. Before I left Amazon. I made sure our drivers had a phone number to the location they were picking up and going to. I hated hearing that a driver had a hard time getting a human being to talk to!

@@tdackjordan5873 Basically they found a cheaper driver and never bothered to let you know that the load was reassigned to a new driver. Unfortunately this occurs off site from the SC or FC your picking up from. I managed to block a lot of this from happening by creating the VRID a very specific way that turned it into a priority load without adding on the fee that an emergency load would generate. I guess someone got wise to this and removed that ability from on site management. I will say that the last few months I was there. It got increasingly difficult to get drivers to even bid on Amazon loads for fear of this exact problem. This is going to eventually bite Amazon but they are beginning to train and license their own private CDL fleet. They are known as "Tommy" drivers. So far they are only doing local transfers between sites. This is starting to change now that the pandemic is winding down.

Hubby refuses to get a pistol coz as he tells his friends, “I’m afraid my wife is gonna use it to kill me”. Really? He needs to grow up. Nobody is worth life in prison. Nobody. Only for a life and death self defense and I love the guy. Gave up my hone in NYC and my career to move to NJ with him and work for his small trucking company. It was the most stressful job ever. He had me do everything and expected me to learn the business, factor, do his taxes, pay the HUT, IFTA. And chase down paperwork, help drivers do their paperwork. And much much more. He kept adding more and more drivers and none of them would listen to me. I kept stressing to them that they need a good phone and scanner app so they can take legible scans and send to me ON TIME, so I can send it to factor and pay them . But no, they take shitty scans all blurry and dark, or they go to sleep and FORGET to send me their BOLS and lumpers. And the broker wants all paperwork within half hour or they won’t pay us for lumper. So I call and call and driver dont answer . Then next day they want to be paid. I tell them now, no legible paperwork and sent to me on time, no pay. Also they leave the receiver without all the paperwork and then the broker refuses to pay coz missing bols. So now I have to chase down paperwork. It just never ends. It made me hate trucking. All that I talked about is only a small part of the BS. They don’t save any of their money so when their trucks break down they force my hubby to pay to fix it or they walk. And we have had a lot walk away and go work for big trucking companies. Then when they get screwed royally, they beg to come back. I would never take them back but hubby has a softer heart . Then u have the crook brokers who want u to drive illegally. And 99% screw u on the load pay. A broker who sits there and his over head is his pen and paper should NOT be making anywhere near what a carrier truck driver makes. Our insurance alone is crippling us. Another big problem is finding good trustworthy drivers to work for us. We have had many lazy, crook, creeps come work for us. One guy begged hubby to pay to have his truck repaired, $12,000, and he will work and pay it back at $500 a week . Well after a couple of weeks, he took off . I personally hate this business.

Truckers need to stop using trucker math, and just demand hourly pay. I'm a 40-year veteran and I've never really seen mileage pay workout long-term. Mileage pay just includes too much unpaid time

If you want hourly pay, get a job doing anything other than trucking. Or go drive for YRC, or Old Dominion, or basically any day cab company.

Not a trucker but this may help explain some issues I've been having with Amazon lately. Sometimes I have to order things 2 or 3 times to get it to arrive because it just never shows up and gets cancelled. I don't lose any money because they refund it when that happens but it is very frustrating.
As others have said much love to all the truckers working hard and honest out there. Hopefully something changes soon to shut down these scams.

Alex, and all other truckers be careful when you park in the truck stop to take your rest. Wednesday night, i parked around 10 pm to sleep at TA in US road 35 right off interstate 71 in Ohio, and I filled my tanks full. So, when i wake up in the morning i am ready to roll after PTI. Next thing i notice when i start the truck is that my tanks are empty and i have zero diesel. Somebody drained my tanks overnight.

I'm a straight truck contractor with the USPS and I honestly have no idea how Amazon makes any profit. Trailer loads of their freight is getting stolen from you big road drivers and their local delivery contractors are opening parcels as they go down small roads and throwing what they don't want out the window. The kicker? Those SAME drivers still show up the next friggin day!
