I love the TW Graphene Paste Wax, I feel like it does not get enough love with so many products out there. It is old school but leveled up a ton and I know the work it takes is a lot but the results are awesome. Great job!
Hey Phil and Jess, another video from the archives , the paste wax may not last as long but it gives the user experience a chance to explore their paint more up close when applying by hand, appreciate the vids as always👏🏽👍🏽
i charge an extra hour if customer wants paste wax.... and some are happy to pay it! sometimes i have to mask certain trims etc.. i use Fuso soft 99 Teflon wax. People love it!
As a kid in the 60s and early 70s I would help my dad maintain the car with paste wax and the old bathroom drying towels were used to buff it off, great memories, thanks Phil 👍😁
Nice vid Phil. I just love that wax. For my mojo it is just killer on my flat red GTI. Easy on, easy off with terrific gloss and protection - as you mentioned "the RESULTS are impressive." One thing going for it as well is timewise the GTI has about 1/2 the sheet metal that your big rig does...lol. An occasional topper of the FLEX SPRAY keeps it blingo! Glad to see you and the big-dog pro's still believe in the genre and its relevance. You're right - it's not always just about durability - sometimes it's about the "stand there and say dayamn!" factor... Shine on you crazy diamond!
Hi Phil/Jess, a thought, Ive recently applied & removed (micro fiber over the pad) wax with a 5inch DA polisher, easy quick & stunning finish without giving my arms a workout. Give it a go, take care, wishing you health & happiness.
Hi guys . Derrick from vt here . Another good one . I use both the one and done and the paste now and agian . I'm old school . Lol . Coming up on 38 yrs . Yes the paste is a little time consuming but the deep richness that you get is awesome. I'm seeing 6 to 8 months protection on my customers vehicles , give or take. Often wonder what the si02 and graphene content is . With that said , question, have you had any experience with underdog coating? They have a deal going right now , 10 for 500$ . Just curious. Ty . Keep up the great work .
The Infiniti looks great, thanks for sharing! Nothing wrong with a little old school paste wax, if it does the job. Might be a bit more labor-intensive, but you certainly can't argue with the results.
Hi. Thanks. Basically just avoid the lettering with liquid/ paste waxes. I’ll go back over the lettering and badges with a spray sealant, towel and toothpick and get around lettering as best as possible.
Hi Phil, daily driver here. Love takn care of cars. I saw how u washed door jams. I NEVR see detailers on utube polishing/detailing them. What do U DO? Great video! U & the mrs are such hard workers!👍
After I thoroughly cleaned them(obviously), I use a yellow foam “pad” that looks like a cone, attach it on my corded drill(cordless doesn’t have enough rpm) and my favourite polish. For the rubber toobey thinga-ma-jingy (🤣🤷♂️) wire cover I spray 303 Aerospace and brush it in thoroughly.
Hi. For door jambs we don’t get requests to have them polished or anything special. Just cleaned and a spray sealant and they are good to go. If a customer wants them polished then I’ll use a 3 inch polish or the cone shape foam polishing heads like Chris mentioned. 😎👍🏼
i had a issue with my tub i guess, there were weird gel like things all through out mine that just would smear over the paint and be a nightmare to deal with
@@MirandaDetailing does this will give more protection? Do you recommend flex wax on the top of. The paint and on the top turtle wax? Or the turtle wax first and on the top. The flex wax??
Adding one layer is totally sufficient. Adding more layers may give more gloss and water beading. But use Flex wax as a maintenance topper after each time you wash it also. Just a light mist per panel and use it as a drying aid.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks! But do I have to use the flex wax on the panel first? Or I can either use them on the top of the wax? As I do not want to "interfere" to the gloss from the past wax! Lol) Great! Thanks sir!
@@MirandaDetailing as I know flex wax can last 6 to months! Without top up! What about the turtle paste infused wax? 2 to 4 months? Less or approx 2 to 4? Thanks again sir!
Actually I use carnuba wax on some tree sap and some water spots. I just wax the car and couple weeks later most of the tree sap and water spots are gone or very weak so I can very easily remove them. Have you ever tried that? Most of the time it saves me from pulling the polisher and polish out. 👍👍
Yes I have removed tree sap with carnauba wax. I really was able to remove very tough tree sap. It was a very bad case of tree sap and I ran out of time so I used wax and it really worked. 👍👍
I always enjoy applying paste wax, because of its longevity. I usually apply two coats after an APC wash, and the second time applied, the wax comes off much smoother and less grabby. I maybe get about 8 months with this method with maintenance? I use the Turtle Wax Hardshell wax. I wish I got the 75th anniversary edition one, but I will get the re-release once this paste is done. BTW, I hope you told the customer his tires are shot, at least the one I saw in the video when you were applying the tire dressing. That's dangerous and hydroplanes like a mofo! Beautiful results as always!
I likeFusso... it is a very durable paste wax/sealant. Don't get it on plastic trim. That is a pretty big vehicle. I see a lot of them around Connecticut. It looks great now that it had The Miranda magic touch! Enjoy the weekend!
Ive found the best wheel cleaner to be G tech iron remover...let sit then put new turtle wax hybrid wheel cleaner over it and scrub ....holy crap my wheels and calipers and barrels you could eat off of 😆 and i use meguires paste cleaner wax twice a year with regular use of lucas slick mist about every week ....cleanest 2001 beetle you've ever seen and it has only 34,000 miles on it ....my mom gave it to me if i take her anywhere she needs to go ...shes almost 90 and really doesnt like driving any more ....its a special isotope edition in a hideous baby diarrhea green but its mine 🤮🤣👊☝️
I'm not a paste wax person. That looked good though. Question: what goes into what you decide to put on for protection? I'm sure there are variables. What are they? I'm trying not to be one dimensional. Hi wife!
Hi. Thanks! It’s really just up to chance and whatever happens feel like grabbing from the derailment by cabinets. Some days are have some time and I feel like using something like this. 😎👍🏼
Have to say that TW 75 is rubbish. Way too much hype about it and from so many tests, it’s goes down so badly and fast that there is only 2 paste wax I will leave in my shop Soft 99 Fusso or Bilt Hamber Double speed.
Big fan of Turtle Wax products
If im gonna use any kind of paste wax, definitely fusso coat. It give me 6 months of solid protection for daily drivers
Not wax though
Good morning Joe from next level detailingplus

I've been using Bowdens own BEAUT BEADS paste wax here in Australia and wow, I'm going to miss it if I do decide to go with a ceramic coating.
But is very expensive 150 Australian dollars? Approx 80 85 90 British pounds!

Can I ask what spray you used for the black exterior trims ?

Great video. I use the TW Graphene Max wax liquid. How would you rate the paste wax to the liquid ? Thanks 🙂
Thanks! I actually like the Max wax better becasue it’s easier to apply. But both seem to be pretty much the same as durability goes.
i had a issue with my tub i guess, there were weird gel like things all through out mine that just would smear over the paint and be a nightmare to deal with
Aw man. May have been a defective one. Sorry about that.

I usually just wash it out and let it air dry on a rack. But eventually it gets to saturated and I just chuck it.
