    Nice video Daniel, look the footage where fish are feed inside the ring and never thought of isolating water flow through the use of ring. Good stuff mate

    I use air tubing and a connector or straw as a connector for the tubing. Things I already have and I don't care if they are attached to the aquarium.

    Finally found an effective and cheap solution! Just cut the top rim of a Styrofoam cup and attach it with a string. Works like a charm!

    I have been super busy for a while, I have missed so many shares, I think my notifications are not working. Great seeing you brotha, stay safe. One love from Jamaica, as usual your shares and informative and interesting...

      I know what you mean mate don't worry.
      I'm still working in the community through this then when I get home I got family to spend time with, house to run, home schooling to get done, etc...
      Definitely having things slip by myself. If we could just get a few more hours into each day...
      Take care of you and yours first homes. 💙

    Hi Daniel, your floating triangle with fruit juice straws is truly original and creative. I am a lover of DIY, I had made them with the silicone tube of the air. But this with straws is much lighter.

    Very cool! I have seen these before, but I don’t use them because I don’t have floaters.

      Yeah not much use to you then. Good to keep in mind though for if you use floating plants later on. So simple but genius.

    The DIY works well by using airline tubing and airline tubing connectors. It's not as ridgid but it makes loops easily

    The feeding ring made with the straws is a great idea while waiting for one of these feeding rings to come. Think I'll try these for my nano planted tank.

  • @alexlansdell7225

    Great idea 👍 Also good if you use a surface skimmer to stop the food getting sucked in. Saves having to keep turning your skimmer on and off when feeding. I always forget to turn mine back on 🙄 lol. Really like your content, keep up the good work.

      I really enjoy making the videos, just another way of enjoying the hobby and sharing it with others really but it always feels great to read a comment like that, thanks again.
      Yeah food getting sucked into a filter is a waste and probably leads to having to clean the filter slightly sooner right enough.

    Hey 🙂 I really like how you placed the square-shaped feeding ring in front of the spillway. PONDSCAPE😁 💦🌿 I use straws and make my own rings. I have many different colored straws.. I like the straws with the adjustable bendy part.. those make great squares, rectangles, hexagons and triangles. They also sell wider diameter straws meant for shakes.. I just float my rings, but I like the suction cup idea.. I like to keep an open area without frogbit and it lets light into the tank and looks good 👍 Very cool do hicky 🌿💦

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  3 года назад

      Aye the bendy part definitely makes it easier. Folk are saying they use airline tubing and a connector too. Sounds like a good option.

    Hi Daniel, I love those commercial ones must give them a go. I did make one from the gas tubing but it was not tied and was not very successful.

    Hi Dan... I can see how the floating feeding rings are perfect for planted tanks with frogbit or even duckweed. I bought one for Boomer my flower horn but it was too small. He would blow the food out of it with his Nuchal. I gave up on that but now that I see you made one... I may try making him a bigger one. He's so excited to eat he booms into everything in his way so it may not work anyway. Hope you are safe my friend.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  3 года назад

      Haha, yeah maybe something more robust required for Boomer. 😂

    I have one of these, use it to hold my Pothos in the tank. Tried the air tubing with a connector but it leaked eventually as I didnt glue it, tried straws aswell, also cut out the rim of a plastic tub lid but that sank lol

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  3 года назад +1

      Ahhhhh, see Cheryl, now I have to admit I had a clip recorded about using them to hold plants in place but I forgot to include it when I edited the video together. It wasn't Pothos right enough but it was to stand lucky bamboo and keep it in place. Thanks thought Cheryl, perhaps I'll need to do a #2 video. 🙂
