Thank you so much!!!!!! I have a biorb and while it is beautiful, the dang beautiful bubble stream shoots the food all over the place and down to the bottom within 30 seconds. Thank you!!!!!

Good video. A bit of engineering and some old rings that work well. I like this niche of practical gadgets for fish keeping.

Exactly what I needed today! I'm currently online shopping and debating between the Eheim feeding station and a regular cheap feeding station for my goldfish. From what you are saying in your videos, I'm thinking if the feeding station might be better (unsure if you are aware of that product)? You are definitely correct about fish aggressively swimming and knocking things around so has changed my mind as well. Also, the fact of having to keep buying suction cups is definitely a turn-off as well. I just replaced 4 on my airline for the 3rd time in 2 years now I believe. They go from clear to hard and white very fast!

Those were used during the 50s and very early 60s and then plastic took over.

I had been thinking about these and wondered if they would work and keep the food from flying all around the tank so I would not have to cut the filtration off. Thanks for the tips. 👍

I had a betta that wasn't eating well. He had no interest in chasing his food. Someone suggested a feeding ring. That solved the problem. He finally ate better.
But if I get a community tank, I can't see a ring being of much help.

Last night I was looking at the 90 gallon aquarium and I must have over 100 small cherry shrimp no bigger than 5/16 long. They are all hiding in the moss and eating whatever is available from the moss. I do not feed my shrimp any extra food except watching the aquarium already.

Hi Dr. On feeding can you please clear something up for me. I watched another well known dirt Utuber who says we are over feeding our fish. He says he only feeds his fish once a day and then not for a couple of days. In essence he said that fish only digest about 10per cent of the food and then will continue to eat their waste over the following days until there is no nourishment left. Is this correct?

I was just going to do a video on feeding especially how to feed goldfish so they don't wind up with swim bladder. Depending on the food is how well a fish can digest it and use it for its energy. One thing I feed my fish is a very high protein food a 47% protein. Most foods have far less protein in them.
