Didn't get my notification on this one, but I had a feeling that there was a video. That was really cheap especially considering the price they were asking for it.
Thanks John. I did a search on the internet and found the specifications and size, and also found someone fitting an IPS screen on RUclips so I knew how many pins etc it was. Hope that helps!
Nice pickup right there , I tried to post 2 comments on the LED video an the camera and microscope I found , But it had a link to the lens in it , so that might be why it kicked it off,,,
Thanks! Seems only channel owners are allowed to post links. Here is a link to the camera very similar on the microscope that I use, and a link to a similar microscope: www.aliexpress.com/item/4000669145180.html and www.aliexpress.com/item/32846880271.html although mine has a different arm / mount to that one. It might not be the best solution as even with a .5x lens on it it's still a bit zoomed in too much at times! I think it's due to the camera's sensor size which acts like a multiplier.
@@BuyitFixit The one lens i'm looking at right now is the 180 Zoom C-mount Microscope Lens 0.7X~4.5X Magnification. and the camera is almost exactly like yours It's a High Cloud for 75 USD I rather the Eakins like you have ..... Thanks
Sounds good. I think it's the same magnification as mine but if the camera is full frame then those are what you would get, but if its 1/8" sensor I think it's like 8x4.5 so that would be 36x and with a .5 barlow 18x check out a channel called northridgefix he uses a slightly different setup which might be a better option.
@@BuyitFixit Actually the lens I want is the exact same as Northridge uses and he uses the Barlow 0.5 and 0.75 for getting the scope lens higher off the board to have more room for soldering tools .... I looked at your camera on Ali and I do like the Eakins brand ...So that's what I'm gonna get along with the 180 Zoom and a boom to hold it all . I'm not using the eyepieces at all.... Cam , lens and led lites and boom holder and HDMI it to my wall monitor .....Merci encore' / Thanks again for your replies ....
U definitely got a great bargain, even the individual games cost more 🤣😆😅 I also got a bargain from Cash Converters, got a PlayStation Classic Mini, unboxed with 2 controllers and power cable for just £30 fully working too. Like 4months ago. 😎😗😘
Thanks 👍I've not looked at a playstation mini. If one comes up I'll try get it. I was going to bid today on a faulty Sega astro city mini but it went for way too much for a faulty unit. Nearly as much as a working one!
@@BuyitFixit oh, yeah I saw the Astro City Mini faulty 1, it went for £87 + £6.14 p&p with 11 bids 🤔😨🤤 I got mine brand new on Amazon in May 2023 for like £102 brand new 😂🤣😅😉😆 And was around that price during black Friday, now it's like £125
@@BuyitFixit Haven't used the device beyond its initial three quarter charge out of the box and can't find the time to get to play it right now, so can't say for sure, but I was mildly horrified to see how no more than a hour and a half, to two hours of playing drained that power and how it says on the box *'Up to 4 hours'* for the usage time. 'Up to'? So not guaranteed or likely then? Brilliant little product, even has a good screen, but that battery lifespan is going to annoy a lot of people.
@3:15 - The next couple of seconds of video are quite satisfying. Nice patience.
Nice looking handheld, enjoyable video as always 😎
Thanks Vince👍. Really appreciate the feedback 🙂
Great fix worth fixing that is well done Mate
Thanks Cucumber Man 👍

Thanks Morten. Yes it was a decent bargain for a change!
Absolute bargain! Nice fix and great video.
Thanks Tony! 👍👍
Great video again. Out of interest how did you know what type of screen was fitted and what to look for?
Thanks John. I did a search on the internet and found the specifications and size, and also found someone fitting an IPS screen on RUclips so I knew how many pins etc it was. Hope that helps!
Great fix. Keep the videos coming. I really enjoy your channel.
Thanks SP. Glad you are enjoying my videos!
Gotta love a repair!
Thanks j s👍

No problem mate. The idea behind the channel is to help people so I do try to be as helpful as I can!
Now you have your wife's hair blower put your smd rework station back instead and see what happens. 🤣You got really lucky with that screen,
Yes it was a good deal. Hopefully it helps someone with a similar problem as a cheap fix 👍

I wonder if anyone has replaced the battery on these with an upgraded battery?
Yes I think someone on RUclips did, and replaced the screen with an IPS version too. I cant remember who it was off hand...
