And then there is a needle on the slide off the carb for low idle to three quarter idle. Turn that needle until it s running good. And the big one is only for high speed
Put some tire up on the end of your fuel lines and tighten if possible your exhaust. It might make your life easy to start it. It helped a lot with my Prafa Strike.🙂🏎👍
No mate. If you leave the glow igniter plugged in with the motor running you only end up burning out gliw plugs. The compression of a 2stroke diesel motor and running just burns out gliw plugs. But these days engine cylinder head warmers are available. They basically give the motor a warm up that makes for easier starting. But i was more interested in whether this car is direct drive or has a gear box? Maybe its direct drive with a centrifugal clutch the way the rear wheels were moving just at idle. But if so the car relies on the torque from the motor and no gearbox? Anybody got any suggestions here?
List; Is your fuel fresh? Remove glow plug and test using glow igniter stick? Does it glow all the way to the end of the coil ?.... is your igniter charged ? Is your carb needle blocked?
Would you be interested in selling this? I’ve got the electric Williams Renault version and have always wanted to try get a nitro version to go with it on display.
Basically ... it was old... and had been left with old fuel in when hot... this had of course turned into a varnish.... The needles where way off too... The carb jet was also blocked.
@@chavasrt4428or just replace the motor with something newer and it will have a recoil starter or may require a starter bix. But either way if its vintage and old better off going with a new motor. I dont think your going to have much luck finding vintage parts but who knows . I have a problem similar to this. Like i have a 1995 Kyosho nitro powered GP10. it had a two speed auto and disc brake. It is an Opel Calibra touring car from the DTM European touring car series. Anyhow if i want to get it running again im just buying a new motor. Like the recoil starter cord broke back in the 90's . I replaced it. Then the one way bearing inthe recoil starter started slipping. So i couldn't crank the motor. I brought a new recoil starter but dont have a one way bearing. Now fast forward 23+ years and i dont run that car anymore. Nowadays i run battery powered RC cars. And they go faster and arw cleaner and quiet.
I still have my PB omega with OPS and Hb slide carb. My PB Nova is being restored and I will install a Picco with Hb carb as well. Good news.
Really nice models these. Very rare. Very satisfying bring an old nitro back to life

Real interesting car. I would be hunting for some foam tires to fit on the wheels.

Prime the Carbuerator
Ah thanks I've never done this before
Pump the gas with the igniter on and wheels off the ground until it takes the gas and then take the igniter off
Carb venturi and feed pipe was pre loaded manually with fuel so no need to pump.
sweet
U have to leave the glow thing on until the zylinder heads getting warm if you don't do it shuts off
Yeah I've been working on nitro for almost 20 years... I like to think I know how to start one by now but thanks
