Yeah, Turner was definitely safe. That was a very bullshit call by the Umps. He was clearly well within the line and safe. I've seen players run WAY outside, further than Turner and they were still marked as safe. Astros made a bad throw, and the Umps tried to bail them out of it. The fact Joe Buck said the call wasn't review-able is even more bullshit as it SHOULD BE. In fact, any questionable call in the field of play (not including balls or strike calls) should be review-able as a Crew-Chief Review. NFL reviews many plays all the time as a booth review, so MLB should be able to do the same. It's good that shortly after, the HR still gave the Nats more runs but it should have been a 3 run HR and not just a 2 run HR. Luckily they won the game 7 to 2 and didn't need that, but still. Wow they took down the giants. Not literally, they beat the best NL Team the Dodgers, and the best AL Team in Astros. Was cheering for them the whole way. Thank god they won and I’m so hype for next season
Still remember this World Series like it was yesterday becuz till this day I am still so pissed that Jose scored that home run against the Yankees to send em to the World Series 2 years ago and I am so happy the nationals brought a title back to our capital
Does anyone notice that Joe Buck has the same call for every home run? Most of the time its just "here's one into ----, back at the wall, it is gone." Its so annoying to here the same calls over and over.
I was also pissed as it was a HORRIBLE call. The runner is ALLOWED to run on the left of the baseline. He established his "lane". He knows he can't keep running there (on the left) otherwise he will collide with the 1st baseman, so he moves to the RIGHT side of the bag, perfectly legal. The pitcher makes a shitty throw to the 1st basement, moving his glove to a shitty spot. The Umpires showed they WANTED the Astros to win by making this horrible call. You can't just let the defense make a bad throw and give them an automatic out and recall runners to bags which is EXACTLY what they did. The glove being in the way of the runner, that's not on the runner, that's on the 1st baseman. He didn't smack the glove out of his hand, he just ran to 1st. I actually slowed the video down and he actually was PAST his glove when he touch 1st and stepping on the bag, so there is no possible way they can legally call "interference" here. The Umps 100% screwed up on purpose. It's lucky the Nationals (and Rendon) was able to Home Run. The Umps are lucky this call didn't change the outcome of the game or the Nationals would have 100% protested this. What gets me, they say this call was "not reviewable". BULL FUCKING SHIT! This is 100% a reviewable play as it's whether it's a safe/out call, using some possible "interference" rules. It SHOULD have been reviewed, found it was a bad throw by the pitcher, which lead to the 1st baseman not being able to get the ball. No outs, runner on 2nd and 3rd. Play ball.
This will go down in history as the “home field disadvantage World Series” . Awesome

Luckily they won the game 7 to 2 and didn't need that, but still.
I think this was a major turning point in Game 6 that gave the Nats to momentum to push through Game 7.
JediMastr80 Yeah, I agree tbh. The Astros mad a bad throw and Gurriel’s glove came off, the ball hit turner. A bullshit call tbh.
Kate Upton was trying to act like she knew all the rules and it just backfired on her cause she was wrong
Con Pop when?

Cubs fan here. The Nationals deserved this win--they beat the cheaters. They won a ring. Juan Soto is a beast.
24:36 find it hilarious that we can hear Matt freaking out in the other box
Wow they took down the giants. Not literally, they beat the best NL Team the Dodgers, and the best AL Team in Astros. Was cheering for them the whole way. Thank god they won and I’m so hype for next season
16:45 Soto threw a goddamn strike
Watching the Nats beat the Asterisks while reading all of the hate comments has made my night. Couldn’t win again even while cheating
Game 6 was fun to watch
Under the Sea mlb umpires need to be all fired.
madgameradam no argument from me
Still remember this World Series like it was yesterday becuz till this day I am still so pissed that Jose scored that home run against the Yankees to send em to the World Series 2 years ago and I am so happy the nationals brought a title back to our capital
This was the weirdest World Series I’ve ever seen. And it was a great one. The teams did not win one game in their home stadium
Does anyone notice that Joe Buck has the same call for every home run? Most of the time its just "here's one into ----, back at the wall, it is gone." Its so annoying to here the same calls over and over.
Astros fan here. Sure feels like rendon should have been mvp.
That “interfered throw” with trea turner really pissed me off. 19:38
Play ball.
Game 1: WSH 5 HOU 4
Game 2: WSH 12 HOU 3
Game 3: HOU 4 WSH 1
Game 4: HOU 8 WSH 1
Game 5: HOU 7 WSH 1
Game 6: WSH 7 HOU 2
Game 7: WSH 6 HOU 2
the homie kendrick game 7 home run was the gamechanger, most clutch it in the series
The USA just took down the villains of baseball!
What a chilling and exciting moment for the Expos/Nationals franchise right here.
No one asked but I actually went to a Nationals regular season game in Washington. They beat the Mets.
That was Super Duper Fantastic for the Washington Nationals!! God Bless them!!
