Macbook pro 2012 is a brick and doesn't have the same screen resolution as the surface book. If yours slows down, did you actually checked what applications you installed which may cause it ? Task manager......
I just bought mine for $300 canadian tablet only no kyboard. Specs are i7 processor, 512 nvme ssd and 16gb of ram. So far I'm happy with it. I'm looking in ebay for performance base keyboard, hopefully I could find a good deal.
Does edge run youtube or netflix well atleast ? Personally I wouldnt mind owning old gems like this for another 5 years as I still own a 2011 macbook holding on to dear life. After tasting 2017 macbook displays, Ive been drooling for one of these.
Honestly depends on what your work is. For general office apps and stuff like that, it’s a really good but of kit. Watching RUclips works well, especially with the detachable mode.
I swear surface line of laptop is the best laptops. I use surface 3, mainly because i dont need the power, i just write down notes on the slides or pdf that my lecturers gave me. A massive game changer. I couldn't even imagine not having a surface laptop now. And when this thing inevitably fail, i will be on the lookout for the pro or the book model. I dont think I'll ever change system.
Yeah you can definitely feel it when things get intense on the device. Such an awesome concept though and Microsoft really nailed the two in one in my opinion.
Hi, could you tell me what might be a good price for the original surface book in decent condition for 2021? And perhaps how the price can differ depending on the version. I'd be very pleased to know your evaluation, because I'm not sure whether the prices I see on Ebay etc. are justified or not.
@@BaldingGamers I'd happily have bought yours:) I think your version has always carried more value than you thought. The gpu-less i5 base model would be the candiate for £400 - £500 range for the last year or so.
just got one for £300 (i7, 16gb,512gb, 965m) and saw another one with half the ram/storage go for the same, in the span of a couple days. Definitely not that hard if you refresh ebay often enough. Best luck was from sorting by ending soonest, seems like nobody really wants them so they go without much attention for bids.
thanks! i just bought one !
jack of all trades master of none but better than master of one

just picked one up for $360 .. can't wait. I've had a Mid 2012 MacBook Air for way too long now
Nice! Quite a nice upgrade there. You did well to hang onto the Air for so long
In 2024 still worth it? Im going to use this laptop for basic office works and adobe photoshop. Is it good for these needs ?

Edge works pretty well, especially after all the upgrades it’s gotten. The screen is gorgeous, and having it detach is just the icing on the cake
what you reckon just won one for £450 from ebay in mint condition but im only getting simply for work and youtube is it worth the buy?

Nice man. We just sold my wife's Surface book 2015, it was a killer device in its day but the dual-core i5 was getting in the way too much.

@@BaldingGamers I ended up using the Surface Book 2 for a few years too. Very well built!
How about a i7- 6600 2.80 and 16 gb ram plus 512 gb. For 650 Canadian?
That seems like a really reasonable price!
was able to pickup this for 300$ US what a deal
That’s really good!

£300
@@Darkest_matter As of 2022? Thanks
@@kuroneko9270 I see, thanks a lot for your advice!
I got i7 16 512 performance base for about 900$ in 2020
I just bought an i7/8/256 with "940m" for £130
Good luck getting the i7 with performance base for £400.
Just looked and those prices have gone crazy! I only held onto mine because my wife uses it from time to time, but tempted to sell now 🤣
