My brother a CGI artist and often talk us about the type of works he does on various movies. He was quite proud of working on Hail Cesear!
He didn't tell any of us he worked on Gods of Egypt even though his name was in the credit

I think it will be bewilderingly bad as opposed to outright offensive like Dirty Grandpa - but that could edge it in an "I expected better from you" kind of way.

If you attack critics on social media and not through your movies, then you're not a good director. Look at Birdman, a great example of using a movie to have a go at reviewers. I, Robot was good, but that was a fluke for Gods of Egypt director.

Mark only put it on here because of how grating Jesse Eisenberg is. He found it to be a disappointing affair as a whole, but Eisenberg's presence is what pushed him to put in the bottom spot. I guarantee you, by the time the year is over, BVS won't be on Kermode's worst.

A worse film than Dirty Grandpa came out in that period. It might be the worst thing ever committed to film. It might be the worst artistic venture ever offered. It might be the worst thing that we - the species who invented genocide and necrophilia - have ever done. It is Sacha Baron Cohen's Grimsby. And it is horrific. How it didn't make Mark's list I will never know.

It might be the most disappointingly terrible film this year but that doesn't make it the worst. 10th place seems fair. Gods of Egypt was even stupider, Zoolander 2 (which somehow missed this list) was even more scrappy and overlong and I haven't seen Bad Grandpa but I'd probably rather make myself watch all of BvS again than sit through even the trailer.

    So, just to be clear.
These are the worst films in the UK for just half of one year.
Just to get some perspective here.
How many American made films are brought into the UK during an average year?
It seems to me that most of these clinkers are American.
Any Really bad UK made films out there?
Just for comparison and contrast, That is?
Or has America done it again, and just managed to sop up all of the very worst in the entire world today?

Don't make fun of something that's already unintentionally hilarious

      Joshua Price
      That's _one_ thing.
But it's just: "let's do the other movies but in a terrible version."
      Is really what kills it.
I consider Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy to be parodies in a sense (especially Hot Fuzz) and they're just great movies in there own right.

Who is mark Kermode to say what is the worst & best movies of the year so far & what makes HIM ( more than everyone else) qualified to dictate what is a good or bad movie? Sure people are big & ugly enough to decide for themselves what constutes a good or bad movie for themselves ( YES he IS entitled to an opinion just like everyone else, but That's all it is an OPINION). Surely it comes down to personal taste right?
